My first visits with Dr Alan Brown were productive, however at one visit I was particularly run down and achy. I became tearful and expressed my frustration. His tone became annoyed and indignant, questioning me if I was implying he wasn’t doing his job adequately. He mistook the frustration with my lack of improvement as an accusation. Dr. Brown was apathetic in future interactions which caused a complete breakdown of my confidence in his care. He may be knowledgeable in his field, but I feel he lacks the ability to look beyond the lab work and really listen, understand and empathize with what his patients are going through mentally and physically as we live day to day with our illness.

I have been treated like a number every time I have gone to see him. He mostly types on the computer and give little to no eye contact. I am in the process of finding another Rheumatologist. In my opinion, making an appointment with him would be a waste of time and money.

My expectations of professionalism and a standard office visit were just wishes. I wasted a hour of my time in the company of a man who has made a mockery of my health issues. He may wear the white coat but it stops there. He does not deserve one star.

Saved my wife's life when she was first diagnosed with wagner's disease. Thank you Dr. Brown.

Dr Brown has been treating my bout for over ten years. my uric levels in power normal range and I have not had a flare up for seven years. He is very personable with his patients. his professional knowledge too notch. I would give him the highest recommendation.

After months and months and months of not knowing what was wrong with me and major depression Dr brown was recommended. After a visit with him and blood work and xrays Dr Brown solve the problem and diagnosed me! It has changed my life! I am not going to sugar coat anything! At first I thought he was very matter of fact and to the point and to be frank I thought well “how dare he”. Ha ha well you know if I had to listen to complaints all day maybe I would too! By far he’s the best!

Does not listen to his patient ,rude, down plays symptoms, then says he can't explain my symptoms, re ran blood work after my previous doc got dignosis and he says well could be this .types on computer enter time . This is the 2nd visit with postive blood work and symtoms and he down plays it . I wouldnt even give him a 1 ??

Typed on a laptop almost the entire time during appointments. No eye contact. No results.

First good visit when referred bt my Dr., but at 22nd appt,, when I brought my husband, he was rude, insulting and complacent. I was trying not to cry. My husband wanted to tell him off. We just left.

A DR with no plan on my diagnosis of vasculitis.had no problem treating me with 40 mg of prednisone for 3 weeks , I stopped taking them on my own due to too many side effects.(2 weeks) Made an appt to see him..He wanted me to continue taking them and come back in a month. He didn't want to do blood work on this appointment either. I asked for it because I wasn't feeling right. Next day I received a call that my Liver levels were highly elevated. I'm very upset that he pushed prednisone on me!

Its been 3 years now and the ONLY time I ever have felt like he actually cared what was happening with me was when I was on a drug study he was heading. All other visits have made me leave feeling fair worse, emotionally! I feel like none of my concerns are taken into consideration. Dr. Brown recently took me off a drug in 3 days and sent me into severe panack attacks and deep depression. I then went to another doctor that said I should have, at least, 4 weeks of slowly reduced amounts to go off

Spent a no. Of yrs not knowing what was wrong with me until 10 yrs ago I move here in the South I was revered to Dr.Brown first visit he listen to my wife and I explain what has happen over the years of my symtoms left the rm for a while came back and in his reserch hit the nail on the head. We are very thankful for everything he has done thus far in my treatment I have and will continue fefering him to people I can not thank this man enough!!!!
