Dr. Alaa A Elbendary

I was referred to this Dr. I wish I could have picked my own. He’s not very friendly, I had a few questions for him, he replied back, now I lost my train of thought.. I was so scared after he said that. I didn’t want him operating on me, but I had to. I actually learned more of what was going on through MyChart online. That’s where I could read things that he wrote, that I was never told from him. I never feel comfortable in his office. I asked a question before I left on my last appointment.. as I walked away, I could hear his staff talking about me.. Unfortunately, I have another appointment soon. He is good at what he does no doubt but fat Shames and has absolutely no bedside manner. Doesn't answer questions. If it wasn't for his staff I can't imagine a lot of people would return. I just thinks he needs some more compassion. It can go such a far distance

I was Dr. Elbendary’s patient for 6 years. With the fast moving cancer I have I should not be here. Because Dr. E is such a great doctor I am. I would recommend him to anyone if they want their best chance at living. He doesn’t participate in clinical trials as his office is to small that is the only reason I had to leave.

Easy and relaxed

To the point, he's GOOD!! Keep in mind though, that there is a VERY FINE LINE between confidence and arrogance. He fixed my problem and that's what matters!!

Very good doctor! Had my surgery, checked on me, boom home and feel great! Good work!

Excellent bedside manner, attentive to patient concerns, professional, personable.

My mother has been there since 2017 and this is her second round. He is arrogant and does not like to be questioned, when I did he was quick to tell my mother he would be happy to send her file to some other Dr. I give 2 stars

In 2016 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and as anyone could expect a very difficult time for me. Dr. Albenary did my surgery and did a great job at removing 98% of the cancer. Everything was happening so fast, had 2 ports put in about 3 weeks later and after that procedure I was told to go directly to his office for my first chemotherapy but the pain was too great and by the time I got there, I was told that it was too late to do my treatment but ok no problem. What most doctors fail to understand is that a patient cannot just jump up from a procedure like two ports being put in especially since 3 weeks prior I had a complete hysterectomy. I was in pain for months. All in alli had a good doctor but I was still worried about my life and I truly didn't expect to live. Fast forward, I transferred to Tulsa at the Cancer Treatment Of America. Nothing against doctor Elbendary but I just needed to get out of town and I heard good things about this. I eventually came back after 6 months and found a doctor within the Mercy hospital. Here it is now 2020 and my oncologist retired so I thought about going back to my first one since I liked him before, just prefer mercy but mo. Baptist is good also. The reason I wrote this long thing us because I'm shocked at how th it s doctor took offense over me transferring out of state, not because I didn't want to follow his advice but because I wanted to give myself every opportunity of survival and idea doctor gets offended over that and refuses me to transfer back because of some stupid reason such as he doesn't think its appropriate since I transferred and didn't want to follow his orders. It had and has nothing to do with him but my life and I'm very shocked that a doctor can get offended over something like this. I was the one whose life was on the line and as a patient I have every right to voice my concerns or transfer if I think I can get something somewhere else that I can't get here. The center in Tulsa was great, everything under one roof, hotels, gift shops, clinics, nutritionists, everything you can imagine so yes of course I wanted to get the best as far as total package but as far as care, it had nothing to do with doctor Elbendary care. I'm just extremely disappointed in him to have taken it personal and get offended and say because I didn't want to follow his care for me, he doesn't think it is appropriate. Fyi I wanted to follow back up with him because I was told they found 2 more spots in me and I thought this would be a great time since my other doctor retired but that is fine. I'm glad to know that before I got back in. A good doctor should listen also th o the patient, not give orders and expect them followed without any understanding as to why or be afraid to offend the doctor by asking questions related to your healthcare. Great caring doctor and people!

Beautiful office. Friendly, warm, caring staff. Highly professional, yet the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. It’s exactly what I hoped for. I wish all medical offices I visit could be this ideal. Dr. Elbendary is a kind-hearted man, skilled surgeon, extremely thorough, and very straightforward. I am very thankful to have been referred to him. I’ve also been receiving my injections in their infusion center. The staff there is just as wonderful. Everyone is very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. It’s evident that they truly care about their patients. I highly recommend them if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing a doctor / facility of this sort. I hate having cancer, but at least I don’t dread visits to my doctor.... ???? If I could give a zero star I would!! He was a terrible doctor that fat shamed people and made false statements about using the machine for surgery if you are over weight. I went to another doctor and got the procedure and it was no problem for that professional.

This doctor is not approachable if you have any questions of concern. I was never comfortable under his care. He will not work with you on any schedule if you’re an employed cancer patient. His time is too precious to reschedule your chemo. I would not recommend this doctor on any personal care level. He has a personality like a robot

I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in July 2015.It was divine intervention that I found this wonderful physician.I had seen three physicians that ultimately led me to him.When I first met him and he talked to me,his focus was on me,as he talked to my husband and I.When I looked in his eyes,I knew he was the physician who would save my life.And he did!He is the most caring physician I have ever had.His office staff are the best.The chemo nurses were wonderful.Dr. Elbendary is the best!

Dr. Elbendary has been treating me for ovarian cancer and it's complications since 2014. He is an excellent physician. He is knowledgeable regarding new medications and treatment procedures. He is genuinely concerned about your overall health and expresses this with every visit. I would highly recommend him and his staff if you unfortunately experience ovarian cancer.

This doctor is probably one of the most obnoxious doctors I’ve ever met. He has an attitude that his time is much too precious to talk with you about your cancer care. If you’re an employed cancer patient, he will not work with your job schedule. He’s rude on top of it. Find a doctor that cares about his cancer patients. This guy is in it strictly for the money and not the compassion for others.

Dr. Elbendary, MD is wonderful! His staff are also excellent. I would highly recommend this physician to any woman who must have a Gynecologist-Oncologist. This physician treats you like a human and is very sensitive to your needs.

I would definitely recommend Dr Elbendary! He's the best at what he does! He's a very good surgeon, gynecologist, and onocologist! I'm thankful i was referred to him!

Best office ever, everyone pleasant, polite and professional. I felt very confident under Dr. Elbendary's care. He advised me on things as if I was a relative.

My mother had cancer in her uterus and rather than perform a surgery to remove it, he berated her about her weight and was very rude. My mother went to another surgeon and after the surgery both of her ovaries were found to be cancerous. Her new doctor said if she had gone with Dr Elbendary the cancer would have killed her.
