Akua Amoabea Asiedu

We weren’t happy with our visit Dr Asiedu was nice and spent time with my son. She is no non sense and did spend a lot of time on her computer but I assumed she’s taking info in. She performed some tests and some were too hard for him. When we were leaving her diagnosis is still unclear from her point of view. We are waiting for more test. The most bothersome was that she prescribed my son a medication that I later found out is NOT approved by FDA for a child at his age. That is unacceptable. I have not returned and we are looking for a new doctor.

We were taken into Dr. Asiedu's exam room and she didn't stand from her computer or introduce herself. I wasn't even sure she was the doctor. We spent over an hour in the exam room during which time she spoke to me for about 5 minutes, my son for less than a minute, and preformed a brief physical exam. The rest of the time she sat at her computer without any interaction with us. I know the office was working with a new computer system (which the front desk staff told me) which could account for the delay, but she gave no explanation or apology.

We have been struggling with pediactrians in the Washington, DC area to have a thorough ADHD assessment of our daughter. After months of being on a waitlist, we finally had our appointment with Dr. Asiedu. She spent our two hours with us discussing our daughters issues and doing some testing and observation on her. She was very professional, clinically knowledgeable, patient, kind, etc. We are so relieved now that we have a medical assessment and a path forward. Thank you Dr. Asiedu.
