I am a 911 first responder suffring from PTSD for a long time lately I suffer from nightmare and lack of sleep. I went to his office seeking help after choosing his name from a list provided by September 11 health program met with a young male whom filled out the paperwork and ask questions then toke me to that psycho office he start asking the same question and asking the young person for name of medicine i have been taken. He treats the young person like a trash it was another Young female student in the room I start to feel bad for the students and the way that man treated them. Do not go there you will end up suffering more. I wish I can give him 0 ????. Planing on reporting him he should not be with humans. I prescribe three medication when I went to get them it's only one medicine. It was the first visit and it will be I do not recommend that doctor it was first visit and it will I do not recommend that doctor to anyone

I had mis-scheduled my first appointment, so I showed up an hour late. They still got me in to see the doctor, so I was very grateful for that. I saw Dr. Ramiro Rangel, who was remarkably kind and patient, and he asked me tons of questions. He didn't give me bad vibes or try to rush me out of the office like some doctors I've had in the past. I understand some people have had a negative experience here, but personally I was well taken care of and am looking forward to my follow up appt.

This place is an absolute joke. I went in for anxiety and Potluri saw me for 5 seconds and tried to prescribe me medication for severe depression and bi-polar disorder. Front staff is terrible. They probably are making $10-$15 an hour and then have the nerve to try and be rude and talk down to people. This place literally has the worst reviews in the area and it’s absolutely warranted. I was planning on leaving this place but before i could i was actually discharged as a patient because I “flipped out” on them over the phone. I’ve been taking a medication for 2 years for ANXIETY and because i wasn’t able to get an appointment for the next 2 weeks because of work, they wouldn’t call in a refill. So they rather you stop taking meds dangerously then just call in a 2 week supply. After 4 visits, I walk into this office and I'm greeted by name. BY NAME! Everyone is so nice and so efficient. And that's before you see the doctor. Dr. Potluri is a kind and knowledgeable man. If I had a preconceived idea of a psychiatrist, it would be him. There is no miracle cure to mental health issues, but he and his staff work with you to help you get better. I highly recommend.

I asked doctor to specifically not prescribe medicine that cause sexual dysfunction and he prescribed exactly that cause sexual dysfunction. after discontinuation of medication i am still suffering sexual dysfunction because of him.

Cont. Definitely DO NOT recommend. I would rate a zero but not able.. I tried calling Rosa and emailing her and she would not reply. I complaint to my insurance, called the lab company they all sent me back to Dr Potluris office but Rosa and Dr Potluri circled me back to the insurance and lab. Obviously they are unwilling to help, they are a disgrace in the medical field. Besides this lab bill I ended up with an ambulance and hospital bill for one of the medications that Dr Potluri prescribed me. When I called them about it they wanted me back in the office to give me more meds which I refused to take because he almost killed me however now that I need to resolve their billing mistake they refuse to see me . Rosa is very argumentative with me and my wife and I guarantee that she behaves this way with other patients. They should not be operating in the medical field.

Awful service. Mohammed at the front desk is rude and unprofessional. When I called in, did not offer any explanations or other options for my very sickly father. If anything would have happened to him, the practice would’ve been held liable. When I brought it to Dr.Potluri’s attention, he also became defensive and told me I could find another office. I have been going to Dr. Potlori for over a decade. Since I moved to Florida. I have nothing but praise for the staff abd Dr. Potlori. I have been treated like they really care. I have the utmost respect all. I have gone through many crisis times and Dr. Potlori has always listener to me and so had his staff

Dr. Potluri is the perfect example of a true professional, and one who cares about his patients. I've been going to Dr. Potluri for over 2 years now and I've never had a better experience anyplace else. Extremely happy! Their office is clean, staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.

The worst doctor and staff that I had been. They don’t care about the patient, they are very rude, they are very unprofessional. My advice: run way of them.

Even with copies of my medical history, medications, and consent to access previous records, Potluri did not renew a single one of my meds for me...but he still charged for the office visit!! I have been off my meds for over 3 weeks now because of this. Careless and rude, I do NOT recommend. Dr. Kotadia is wonderful, though.

I've been going here for 2 years and never really had a problem. The psychiatrist are great and listen better then the therapists often do. The office staff are terrible. The office manager is not manager at all. I recently had an incident when I was given the wrong appointment information 2 visits in a row, and decided to speak to the office manager. She was very rude and condescending, and didn't want to put out the fire at all. The office staff does NOT know how to talk to people with mental illness. Instead of smoothing over the misunderstanding which is any managers job she got defensive and rude. Giving it one star because there is nothing less, I've only gone to this office because it's close to my house only reason. Trying to book an appointment takes 3 or more phones calls, I've seen bad front desk but this one takes the prize, you call after going through five different extensions. The office manager who I think is worse than the front desk calls me and leave a message in regards to my insurance,I tried calling her back like five times. Still waiting on a response, If it's a bill just send it home, I tried resolving but I just want another Doctor and office that actually cares. Horrible customer service, when an actual being answered after I was on hold for 5 min, she tells me can you please hold and doesn't even let me explain I've been on hold for five minutes, she just puts me on hold again and she did it three times, have courtesy whoever you are. Very good doctor

I have read these reviews and I have been going there for almost 6 years and I have never seen any of this behavior. The office manager has always been helpful, pleasant, and attentive to what I needed, she helped without hesitation. The rest of the girls have been pleasant and helpful also. I agree there are a few issues when you call and leave messages. As far as Dr. Potluri he has always taken his time, I never feel rushed he listens and asks questions. Dr. Potluri is not a medicine pusher. Ive gone every three months and ive gone every month it depends on the situation he schedules accordingly. I moved 50 minutes away from his office and contine to have him as my doctor I'll never switch. Please take the time to form your own opinion my guess is you will stay. Dr.Potluri is a great doctor. He lets his patients know the truth and is willing to speak to family members that his patients trust and authorize. He also makes sure that no caregivers are taking advantage of his patients. He developed a great plan for my family member. He also finds ways for his patients to relate to him so they can feel more comfortable and equal to him. The dosages he prescribes are helpful and is always looking out for side effects that might effect the patients ability to continue taking certain medications. He is also the owner of his own practice. This made my family member and I feel trusted in his care. I don’t think that office manager people are saying in the reviews works there anymore because everyone at his office is really nice and comforting. The office is designed specifically to make patients feel comfortable. My family member has a rare disorder so he is really experienced in his work. If your looking for a good doctor talk to Dr.Potluri!

A nightmare! What a DISASTER :( It was the most awful experience of my life. After having several surgeries, a heart attack, my father passing away, etc I had a Major Depressive Disorder, another pre-heart attack and a minor stroke. On top of a severe heart condition (Cardiac Insufficiency) with Atrial Fibrillation, Fibromyalgia, Reumathoid Arthritis and more, I used the services of this doctor. I had already been placed on "permanent disability" by 3 other doctors, so I did not need him to place me on disability. The major problem is the office. I had an altercation with his receptionist. I had called requesting a letter to my airline stating I could not travel because I suffer from severe panic attacks and was having tachycardia (4 lines). The letter had to be redone 3 times, and it took 2 months to be ready. Doctor himself told me he was there to treat patients not to give out letters. Rosa, the receptionist, started saying that Dr. Potluri does not give disability to anybody. I said that I was already on permanent disability, I only needed the letter stating that HE IS TREATING ME SINCE JANUARY 2015, which was the truth. She proceeded to say that they have a lot of patients that needed disability more than I do, that they have patients that are "bi-polar, bi-polar" and they were not on disability, that they have a patient, an attorney, who is schizophrenic and he was not on disability. She proceeded to say that I was not sick, and that I should NOT be on disability, that my condition was curable, that she had a condition that was not curable and she was not on disability...). Nobody has the power or authority to discuss my medical condition with me or anybody else except the doctor...and she had other people in the office, I could hear voices in the backgrownd. I was so distressed that I decided to ask her: - What do you know about me? Who do you think you are to tell me if I should or should not be on disability? What do you know about my condition? She proceeded to say: I Know enough; am the office manager!!! Well, I was very disappointed because this woman kept on going and going telling me what I should do or not, what medications I should take or not. She even spoke about a pharmecogenomics test that I "should" take (which I had taken at their office) and she insisted that it was not true because she was the only person that performed that test, so that the test had never been done… Then she proceeded to say: "Oh, they are right here"!!! I was about to explode when I decided to ask her: Is Dr. Potluri in the office?- "No, Dr. Potluri is on vacation". BINGO ! This was the reason why this woman kept on acting like she knew everything! No need to say that when the doctor came back from vacation SHE HAD ALREADY TOLD HIM THE STORY HER WAY... As a second note to Rosa: - Honey, I have 2 College degrees, a Master’s Degree and I'm a Certified Translator in 4 languages. I'm a Diabetes Educator, I've been in the medical field my whole life and I am 59 years old. I've worked for the biggest and better pharmaceutical companies in the world with a very high position (not a front desk receptionist). You think you're smart, and you were stupid enough to discuss my medical condition over the phone with me in front of other people? THAT IS A HIPAA VIOLATION, did you know that? I should contact your attorney patient who is a schizophrenic, so he could sue you. Think you're smart? What on earth are you doing as a receptionist? Well... This place is all about prescribing medications and make money from it. As a psychiatrist you do not degrade a patient just because I have a condition does not mean I wont have knowledge of things which I dont need a degree to do so. I never had a problem with the staff but the doctor hes been so assuring that my son is getting better with medications medications its all about medications I told him my son has not change medication is not the answer for him we can not always control autism with medications it takes more than that to manage only a parent knows their own children just to clarify something my son is in a environment where he has no over stimulation to act up in the office thats why hes always on his best behavior because hes not overwhelmed comparing to other places in public you need to use other considerations about autism not just medications thats making him behave well when he first came in he wasnt acting up much but its because he was not familiar with the environment of course due to his sensory not because of the medications and telling me im in denial lol!!!!!! I try not to leave negative reviews, as I believe if you have nothing good to say, better to say nothing at all. That being said, the staff at this office has pushed me past my limits, and I have to speak out some way. Let me start by saying that Dr. Kotadia is a very nice Doctor. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I have no issues with him* (see update). My issues lie with, as everyone else here has said, the front office staff. Specifically, with how they do not answer their phones, or deliver messages. Case in point, my local pharmacy has run out of my medication, and I need the Doctor to send a prescription to another one that does have it. I've called numerous times, and the phone repeatedly goes unanswered. Even worse, both my pharmacy, and the one I'm trying to get the prescription transferred to, have both told me they've called and left messages, and theres been no answer. Also, I've called during the times they're supposed to be open - only to hear their after hours recording play. The one time I got them to answer the phone- Yomaira told me she'd have the Doctor call in my prescription first thing in the morning - only to find, shockingly, that it didnt get done. Now, I'm out of medication Bottom line, if you think you'll never have to call in, or live close enough to just go there in person, sign up as a patient. If not, you've been warned. Update: I had someone call me back, and tell me Dr. Kotadia said he can't issue another prescription for me because it is a controlled substance, but that if I should have any symptoms, to go to the emergency room. I believe this physician is ARROGANT and will not listen nor do the history and physical research required to PROPERLY REFUSE A DIAGNOSIS OF SCHIZOPHRENIA!! Really my son had been treated FINALLY AND SUCCESSFULLY AFTER 12 yrs of incorrect medications overdoses of very harsh antipsychotic WRONG HARMFUL PHARMACEUTICAL DRUGS THAT CAUSED LIFE THREATENING COMAS TWICE ! ABILIFY MAINTENA (1 injection every 30 days changed everything for my son in a few days he had some lucidity and diagnosed by dr MOBIN 6/17 ) has improved since She dr MOBIN took the chance .. because nothing was working for 12 years . Harm was actually being done ! This new injection is the very best medication for schizophrenia and changes EVERYTHING! Discussing my health issues with me like if she was a doctor, told me I should not b on disability because my health condition was curable, that she was in worse condition and working, telling me what meds to take &that she knew a lot because she was the office manager, other people were listening. That is a HIPAA violation! She was rude and the Dr. is not compassionate himself. Read other comments on google!

The worst place to get treated. Rosa, his receptionist will talk to you in a rude manner, will leave your paperwork exposed (HIPAA Violation right there). She was discussing my health issues like a pro and even told me what meds to take or not to take, that my condition was not serious and that I should be working and not on disability. The staff made my experience terrible. Unprofessional and indifferent. They don't seem to care about the patient. I don't recommend this place.

Speaking on behalf of my spouse, the persons who work in the office are rude, incompetent and WILL LIE like cowards to the Dr. when the patients complain about their issues for instance noting when a patient cancels or reschedules an appt. Also, good luck getting them on the phone. This is a place to have complete care for people with mental issues and I feel that the Dr. should look into the front office start and make some adjustments because is not worth the hassle. Dr. Kotadia is a great doctor. You can tell he knows medication very well and is caring in the management of the medications. He never lets you go without a refill and does his best to address your concerns. However, the staff is COMPLETELY horrible and unfortunately I quit going. Multiple reviews that warn you about the front desk/office manager are sadly true. They erase messages, the head Physician, Dr. Potluri defends his staff but it’s sad he is blinded to how they treat patients. You’re look at as “crazy” so your story couldn’t possibly be factual.... sadly many patients have been run off by his incompetent staff and he’s too cheap to hire more help. *sigh*. Dr. Kotadia falls under Dr. Potluris supervision so he of course, is impartial. I wish he would open his own practice. All the staff there seem miserable and I’ve even heard them discussing the management in front of patients because they were “too cheap to offer their staff health insurance.” They’ve left patient information out for exposure at the front desk multiple times and violated HIPAA. I LOVE Dr Potluri. His staff is terrible at responding to phone calls and messages. If you don't have emergencies, it's fine. He's a progressive and intelligent doctor. It's taken me years to find one that is any good. I'm just really concerned about the staff with the exception of the nurse. She is wonderful!

Front office needs to communicate better. Receiving Doctors letters to employer may take up too a month. Due to lack of communication with other staff. Leaving voice mail is useless as I've been told several times my voice mail was not received.
