My visit with Dr. Gupta for diagnostic test went smoothly. Both the doctor and technician were friendly and put me at ease.

If you are in need of medication this is not the doctor to go to. They ignore phone calls for medication refills and even calls from insurance companies. They also tend to file paperwork wrong to insurance companies resulting in a patient not receiving their medication

Very Rude! I called ahead of time and wasn’t told to arrive thirty minutes early and we drove a hour and nine minutes to get there to your office. The two secretaries didn’t even bother to try to work me in to see the Dr Sincerely Buffy VanDiver

Sometimes, the best is just the best of what's around. I truly think Dr. Gupta is brilliant in the field of MS. This doesn't make him a good doctor, though. I initially thought he was wonderful until I met others with MS who shared their experiences with their own doctors. I was blown away. Dr. Gupta only saw me once a year. Once a year for MS! A potentially debilitating disease. I see my dentist more often! A was always rushed in and out of the office, barely seeing him 20 minutes. Upon my diagnosis, I was given a ton of drug pamphlets and was to make my own decision of which medication I wanted to get on. While I was able to read the literature and make an informed decision, I shouldn't have had to. This is the doctor's job. Not mine. It was daunting in the face of a terrifying new diagnosis to then have to make this decision. Dr. Gupta's office is poorly run as well. Getting a call back from his nurse, Leyla, is a nightmare. I once waited a full month before finally getting a call back. By then, I had switched to a new neurologist. I now drive 3 hrs for something I should have access to down the road. I get exceptional service, which only further highlights how bad Gupta's service was. For comparison, I'm seen 3 times a year, and calls are returned the same day. My new Dr spends real time with me. He shares important information about my MRIs and is up front with my prognosis, things Dr. Gupta never did.

Dr. Gupta is a doctor that I feel is passionate about his profession and enjoys helping people. He’s a great listener, and I don’t feel rushed during my visits. He seems intent on pursuing all avenues of trying to improve the quality of the patients life, which I like his openness to pursuing treatments. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Gupta to help navigate my illness. Most illnesses also have the mental aspect that goes with the physical part and it’s very important to have a doctor that responds to that part of it.

The staff and the attending physician were courteous and highly professional. I was given appropriate tests and explained their findings clearly

He takes the time YOU need. Explains things in a manner you can understand. No fluff, but kind. The best part is - he calls you by name. Most docs don't even know your name, much less call you by name these days!

The reception was very nice and professional. But Gupta Ajay had very little patience and seemed to be angry and bothered. This guy should Not treat veterans. Perhaps had didn't know that I could have chosen any other doctor in Ft Wayne. But I chose him. Also no outpatient notes from him were given to me. Is this not Odd ? My recommendation to the VA is not to refer any other veterans to your practice. We (Veterans) deserve the best service available, not impatient or rushed medical care. I have seen Dr Gupta for over 30 years. I totally trust him with treatment for my MS. He is an awesome physician with unbelievable MS knowledge. In fact, he has been the leader in MS treatment around this area. I do not want to see any other doctor for my MS.

They weren’t able to see her and she was there so it wasn’t a good appt but they called to offer her another appt for next month

It was fine, he was nice but I’m really disappointed that he didn’t address my “first bite syndrome” that I’m very concerned about. He just disregarded it. First bite syndrome is an indication of tumors and a lot of the reason I made the appointment ????

I have MS which I believe is his specialty. He has the personality of a potato but he knows his stuff about MS. I see his Nurse Practioner, who is awesome! Rather see her for my follow-ups, knowing if something comes up, he's there.

Dr. Gupta has been my dr for many years. He has always been attentive and took the time to listen to my concerns and needs every visit. My health is much better thanks to him!

I have been seeing Dr Gupta for multiple sclerosis since 2001. I was diagnosed rather quickly (w/ in a couple months); much quicker than many folks w/MS. I can understand how it might seem he's aloof, however, I COMPLETELY trust his medical care. My mom-in- law has also seen him for Parkinson's. He's been great.

Fantastic MS Specialist. He is up to date with new and upcoming medications, studies, and research. He is attentive to my questions, concerns, and symptoms at every appointment. If you have MS, Dr.Gupta is the best specialist in the area. Highly recommended.

I usually see an NP which I found I prefer. Unfortunately he does not see me but the disease. The NP is nicer and sees me as a person. Initially I saw him each time but now see the NP. Had additional testing the last time I was in there by him and was reminded that he needs to be taught "bed side manners". I believe he is so smart he gets tangled up with his own brain and forgets there is a patient in front of him.

Dr. Gupta is a great neurologist. His nurse practitioner, Pamela McMaster, is the best. Dr. Gupta and Pamela are very professional .My sister and I are both patients of theirs.

Met Dr Gupta at hospital 6 months ago. Very nice man but have not seen him since. His staff is unprofessional, I have repeatedly asked to be scheduled with him but get the PA instead. And they tell you that they will call you back but they do not. Am going to Cleveland Clinic now. So much better, Like night and day.

My dad has been a patient of Dr. Gupta for several years. My dad had medication induced lupus due to toxic levels of Dilantin that Dr. Gupta prescribed and never had blood work done. Recently, my dad had a TIA and was in the hospital for 4 days. After his release, he saw Dr. Gupta who informed him that it wasn’t a TIA, but cervical dystonia, which he has none of the symptoms of. Dr G is one of the most brilliant minds in MS treatment of our time. This community is very fortunate to have him in our area and treating patients. He literally brought my wife back from being wheelchair bound through his relentless commitment to finding new treatments and not resting on the simplest explanation.

Miss diagnosis and does not take full mris

He MIS-diagnosed me by stating I had Barrett's Esophagus when he hadn't even done an endoscopy. After going to Fort Wayne and being admitted into the ER because of being in excruciating pain ~ I learned that I didn't have Barrett's Esophagus after all. Finally I was able to get answers and not just pushed out the door. Dr Gupt acted like he didn't two poops about whatever was ailling me.

Dr. Gupta has been my neurologist since 2003. He is a Multiple Sclerosis (MS) specialist. I trust this man with my life. The entire team at FENCE is awesome, in my honest opinion.

I was admitted to the hospital and told I have MS. It took 4 days for the dr to get to me. Afterwards, he didn't give me all the RX options but pushed a new therapy. Never told me about a blood cell count I was supposed to have monthly to avoid a fatal complication. Miscounted the steroids I was given when leaving the hospital, so instead of tapering off, it was a dead stop after the 5 pill a day dose. Then, miscounted my MS medication as well.
