Absolutely horrible gastroenterologist who won't come in to see emergency patients in the hospital sent there SPECIFICALLY to be seen by this "doctor" find any other gastroenterologist that actually cares about patient's they're supposed to be treating
Was scheduled for an appointment at 9 am for telemed for my son. Was ready to go at 8:30, nobody called. 10 am rolled around and I called the office to ask what was going on. I was told that we needed to reschedule for another day when I asked why their response was his appointment was at 9. Okay then why didn't anyone call to let me know that hey we are busy could we reschedule? Had my son's provider refer us elsewhere. I find the office very unprofessional. The customer service here is absolutely horrible. Our nurse practitioner is great and basically saved our son’s life, but trying to get through, talk to someone, or get answers is literally impossible. The office staff is rude, dismissive, and unfriendly. For example, I called a week ago (on Dec 21) to see if we could talk to our nurse about our son’s constipation issue and what we should do, and they told me they’d call us back the next day. No one ever called, so a week later, I called back and received a litany of excuses from whoever answered about why they never called back (they usually don’t call back for a simple question, they thought I was just asking for a med refill, they already gave us instructions at our telehealth in early December, they took off Christmas because “yeah, sorry we had to take a day off”, etc.) You name it, they gave it as an excuse—and wouldn’t accept any responsibility for leaving us hanging. Doctor was kind and helpful.
Several reviews complain about problematic experiences with staff, but I had no such issue.

This is not a rating for the doctor, but for the staff. Waited 2 months to be seen for my 5 year old's appointment. Then, the doctor ordered 2 radiology tests and scheduled an endoscopy. Left the clinic with an appointment for the endoscopy more than a month out (late July) and a follow up after the procedure for 6 weeks out (esrly August). Advised them before leaving the clinic that I needed radiology order sent to radiology limited. Called 4 more times over the next two weeks to get radiology order sent, told them repeatedly the appointment day and time. Asked for a call from the office manager. Showed up to the radiology appointment with my 5 year old who had been fasting for 6 HOURS, told the office had not sent it yet. Called again, still did not send the order. The radiology desk person physically went to the clinic to get the order for us (thank God for her). Called after this appointment, asked again to speak to the office manager. Got her voice mail and left a message. Had the endoscopy late July. 2 days before the follow up appointment in the clinic to review the results (1 week after procedure), called and told that the appointment was not available. Rescheduled is to 3 weeks later (now a full month after the procedure) for results. Called the next day to confirm the appointment they told me was unavailable. When I agreed to come in anyway for the appointment they canceled, I was told I couldn't and had to keep the appointment for 3 weeks out. I again asked to speak to an office manager. Finally yesterday I eas called again by this office and told that the Nurse Practitioner (who I never agreed to see) didn't see patients st the time I was scheduled for and they needed to change my appointment again. I've absolutely had it. Asked to speak to an office manager, again no response. Here's the simple solution: there are a shortage of pediatric gastroenterologists here. I get that. But, I live my child enough to make sure she actually gets care. So, I will not be returning to this facility, despite the fact that the doctor seems competent, due to the support staff being incompetent and uncaring. They have an office "manager" who is obviously part of the problem and does not have any interest in addressing concerns despite repeated attempts to talk to her. In looking at other reviews for TMCone, it appears this is a theme for this facility. I try to support my local economy and TMC is a aerobatics in this community. That being said, I WILL get care for my child and for that reason we will be moving her care elsewhere. I think this practice needs a support group for parents trying and failing to get timely treatment for their kids. Rebecca's review is super close to the experience I have had here, and also at Banner. The specialty clinics in Tucson seem to have very little time or interest in actually helping kids get well.

My 12 year old son has had sooo much trouble with his stomach and no one could tell us why. We were sent to him and he’s an awesome man. He listened to what me and my son told him and found out what was going on with him. He takes time to explain everything. He’s a wonderful Dr and has a wonderful staff and wife.
I'm extremely unhappy w the experience I had at Dr Dahshan's office. 1st visit there & no one in the office would listen to what we said. The 2 nurses talked to each when I tried to explain how my daughter was feeling. Dr Dahshan came in and spent about 10 minutes with us - not listening to anything we had to say. He assumed my daughter was constipated - and why would he come to this conclusion when he didn't hear anything we said. Today I received a bill, he charged $550!!!!!!!!

I believe that Dr. Dahshan provides the best care to all his patients. His bedside manners are terrific and he explaines everything very well. I love his attention to details and that he provided photos and explanations of his endoscopy procedure to his patients family.
I like Dr. Dahshan's thorough and caring approach to every aspect of my daughter's health. He is a fantastic doctor!

I have been taking my child to Dr. Dahshan and I will admit at times he is hard to understand, but when I asked about certain things he has no issue with clarifying the details for me. The staff are polite most of the time. There has only been on time when they were really busy that I had to wait over 15 mins.
This doctor is nothing short of rude! Took my daughter there because she is vomiting for days on end then it stops and starts again. My daughter is also insulin resistant and has PCOS therefore, very overweight. She and I have started a strict no carb no sugar diet where she is losing about 7lbs per week. SHE CANNOT process carbs or sugar of any kind. He told her that all her problems stem from being overweight and her weight was her fault. He never once asked her about medical history!

**2 hours until we see dr** --rushed through our appt with a child who has complicated health circumstances --did not let me ask questions.I actually had to follow him as he walked away --very difficult to understand--he speaks very softly, uses lots of jargon --he does not work with CAMC as his website lists (only local hospital with pediatric cardiology). Therefore, you should not take any child with a heart condition to see Dahshan--he cannot do any procedures on your child.
