My experience was terrible. I lost several months of my life to pain and miserable side effects of medications as a result of my experience with this doctor. I saw Dr. As-Sadat for migraine headaches. He ordered an MRI which was normal, so he started prescribing medications. He didn't suggest any other possible causes for the headaches. The third medication helped with the headaches, but it negatively affected my life as much or more than the headaches had. I felt sick. I was unable to focus. I was disoriented. I couldn't concentrate or remember things. I couldn't drive. I couldn't even follow a recipe. He just told me to keep taking the meds since they were helping with the headaches and come back in three months. I went to my internist who immediately started weening me off the the awful medication that was making me so sick and started doing tests. So far she has found that I have sleep apnea and a heart valve leak. Either or both could be causing severe headaches.

I have been looking for Dr. Al-Sadat for 15 years! A good, thorough, compassionate, communicative neurologist is hard to find. Finding another as good as Dr. Al-Sadat...is impossible!

Couldn't help me. Ran tests and told me it was all in my head. Nothing for him to do. Said I had myopathy and neuropathy but not really treatable. Very disappointing and didn't really care about my condition. Wouldn't refer anyone to him.

Dr. Al-Sadat is one of the best specialists I've visited with my mother. My mom was in the ER in August of 2016. She was diagnosed with a meningioma. And we were sent to another neurologist who didn't care at all about anything, she didn't care about results and actually had the response of "I don't know," when we asked questions. I found Dr. Al-Sedat and asked for a referral to see him. He spent a great deal of time with us and gave us the right diagnosis. He's beyond amazing! Smart! ETC!

He is very thorough in his exam and required tests. For my husband, he recognized a problem and acted on it quickly, working with input with other neurological professionals to recommend the best next course of action. It was obvious that he had spent many hours working on the health problem. He answered questions and explained the problem and recommendation of next steps. He made time for us quickly and moved up our initial appointment as a priority. His medical nurse was also supportive.

He is very knowledgeable about migraine disorders, while I haven't found the perfect solution to fully control mine yet, he managed to find new ways to treat them for me, and was very willing to adjust doses and explore all avenues.
