The staff and the Doctors were very helpful knowledgeable. My first visit I was a mess after a loss of a love one. They spent the extra time to help me and make sure that everything was alright. My 6 month follow up I found the same caring and professionalism that is lost in today's world.

Dr. Virga easily figured out that I have atypical vertigo from putting me through a simple exam. She gave me printouts with details of an exercise to fix it. She also ordered an MRI - just to be sure. The results produced useful information and an alternate potential cause. So I am pursuing that and also PT for the symptoms. The doctor spent the time with me that I needed and was thorough.

Dr. Virga was my neurologist for several years treating me for migraines. I tried multiple medications, Botox ???? with little results. I changed doctors after moving and now my migraines are under control.

I have had migraines for decades, and I’d given up on finding a better solution. I sought a second opinion with Dr Virga with regard to a different neurological issue, one that my old neurologist had no suggestions for, other than to “try and relax more”—numbness in my face and neck. Dr Virga not only correctly assessed the issue and gave me a handout explaining the problem, she also suggested a treatment that worked within a week, and the numbness has now been absent for months. She also prescribed new migraine meds that work better than anything I’ve tried in decades. I’m pretty mad at my old neurologist for not making these suggestions and med changes, but I’m also so glad his incompetence forced me out the door for a second opinion! The office staff at Dr Virga’s are also extremely helpful and supportive. Some of the newer migraine meds require a lot of persistence on their part with insurance companies, and they have gone above and beyond. Overall, a sincere 5 stars. I’m glad I found her, because she has improved my quality of life. I’m grateful!

After 35 years of 16+ migraines a month, Dr. Virga worked with me to reduce them to less than 5 per month and much less in severity. Doctor and staff are wonderful.

Dr. Virga and her staff in Acton, MA are kind, responsive, and SO very helpful! Trish is a breath of fresh air and is incredibly warm and friendly. I've been seeing Dr.Virga since I was a teen and now in my 30s I've always had a wonderful experience I think she's awesome and I always look forward to my appointments!

I recently met with Dr. Virga for the first time concerning a somewhat odd medical event that landed me in the hospital. As it was not adequately addressed, I met with Dr. Virga for further clarification. I found her to be very intelligent and well-informed. She was patient, kind and humorous. Her examination was very thorough. She asked pertinent questions and explored areas of concern that had not been discussed while I was hospitalized. She also ordered certain tests to examine areas she felt needed more clarification. I was impressed by the depth of her knowledge and her very obvious concern for me as an individual.

I definitely dont recommend this neurologist. Getting your results from lab work is impossible. I literally have called over 5x in a 2 week period when Emerson said it takes a day to send to her. The woman answering has audacity to give an attitude cuz I keep calling. Well its important, if your doctor did her job I wouldnt be calling. They dont care about you, only your copays. Referred to her by VA. She prescribed medications that interacted with my VA meds. She should have known that. She totally misdiagnosed my father. She said she’d send in a script for him and sent the wrong one which made him sick. We had to research it to find out ourselves. We took him to another neuro who discontented Virga’s opinion, who discontinued the meds and put him on the correct one My husband has called and called for refills and she takes forever to call them in. I am so lucky to have gotten connected with Dr Virga! Dr Virga and her staff are kind, patient and supportive. Dr Virga put me on a rapid road to recovery, she has greatly improved my quality of life. Dr Virga is a great doctor!

Dr. Virga has treated me for a number of years for` chronic migraines, cluster headaches, and tension headaches

Poor quality. Tried to diagnose complex neurological issues by Telehealth only to have incorrect notes and mis-diagnose problem. Didn’t show for an appointment in person. Never asked about problems that needed to be reviewed. Learned months later I didn’t have reflexes - it was never covered during in person visit. For third appointment I showed up to find out I’d been rescheduled but not told, even though she was still in the office. No rescheduling information could be provided at the time. I left and found a different neurologist who, within a couple of weeks, gave an accurate and helpful diagnosis — started me on the way to treatment.

If I could leave a ZERO rating I would. I saw this neurologist for drop foot and it took 2 weeks to get results. Then she told me I urgently need an ankle brace but despite 4 phone calls, 2 faxes, 10 days later she has NOT returned my phone calls nor has she sent the prescription to the orthotist which is needed for a custom brace. I am furious that I now have to make an appointment with another neurologist to get the prescription. I am going to pick up my file and test results in person. Do NOT go to this doctor. Either she or her staff are incompetent and there is no communication at all.

Was an hour late to the appointment, never sent in my script and then 8 months later I get a call from a collections department for a bill we never received... despite our deductible having been met at the time of the appt. To top it all off, she was completely wrong about the diagnosis. Worst Dr experience ever.

Dr Virga is very knowledgeable in neurology and she was able to treat my wife’s Vertigo. She is great working with patients and she is confident but yet humble. Highly recommend her! We have been to the ‘Big Boston Neurology doctors’ and we are pleased that we found out about Dr Virga.

Dr Virga has helped me in so many ways. Ive seen a dozen Doctors in the past with no help with my headaches. Two visits and she found a solution that works and works well.. The waiting time in the waiting room is a little long, but she takes the time with her patients to understand your problems. I cant say enough good about her. My opinion is that she is the greatest Neurologist that Emerson has. She is so caring about your problems. I feel blessed to have her as my doctor. Dr Virga has helped me in so many ways. Dr. Virga is an outstanding neurologist! She listens to you describe your symptoms and then takes the time to make a proper diagnosis. She has helped me to get my migraines under control. She is also a leader in treating Parkinson's patients. She is a part of the new Emerson Hospital Parkinson's Center of excellence. I would highly recommend her.

After having many headaches, I was referred to Dr. Virga. I was told my headaches were from this or that from previous doctors so when I went in to see her, I told her what everyone else had said. She stopped me and said "no, I want to hear what YOU think." That assured me that Dr. Virga is a fabulous neurologist right off the bat! I've had multiple doctors tell me the same thing over and over again and none of them took the time to truly listen to me. I was always in and out in 15 minutes at other offices. Dr. Virga took the time to sit me down, review everything, listened to every little detail I had to say, examined me, REASSURED ME, gave me the guidance i needed to lessen my pain, and really took care of me. My visit was less than an hour but EVERYTHING was covered. Even if there was a wait time, I recommend waiting regardless! I'm not a huge fan of taking medication and I expressed that concern to her. Although I ended up needing some medication, she also gave me some more "natural medication" (a diet plan, more water, sleep, ect) which I found to be the icing on the cake instead of having to rely on just medication! She also sent me home with a "migraine diary" so I can keep track of everything for my follow up. Dr. Virga and her staff are phenomenal at what they do and represent the medical field very very well. I highly recommend Dr. Virga for any neurologic need! Dr. Virga is a wonderful neurologist. She will not try something new unless she has well documented research or information. She is very knowledgeable, trustworthy and compassionate toward her patients. She has a very helpful, supportive and caring staff. They are always willing to go the extra mile to help. I have been going to see Dr. Virga for many years and would highly recommend her.

Dr. Virga is very thorough in her examination of you. She answers what questions you have. She provides different options for you to look at regarding tremors and/or migraines.

Dr Virga is a heaven sent. I have seen other neurologist in the past about my migraines and have gotten nowhere. Dr Virga got my headaches under control. She is very caring and takes time to listen to you. You might experience a little wait time ,but she is worth it. Best neurologist ever

Dr. Virga is not only smart and up-to-date on the latest treatments, she is kind and compassionate. She listens and follows up with me. Her office staff are very affable and really work with you to set-up appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Virga.
