Dr.Safa is an excellent and best doctor his team are very nice. He gonna give you the treatment that is best for you. he gonna give you an advice like you are a family to him.

I can only second all the wonderful things that have already been said about Dr. Safa and his staff. I never thought I'd actually look forward to a doctor's appointment! (saying I am NOT a fan of going to the doctors is an understatement) but Dr. Safa and the entire staff at the Northridge Cancer Center are so warm, so sincere and caring that it feels like visiting friends! Dr. Safa took the time to understand what my life was like before I began this frightening journey. He encouraged me to focus on all the wonderful things and people in my life, that was my only job and to entrust him and his staff with the battle. After our first meeting, and all of his positive encouragement, I truly felt confident doing just that. My battle with Uterine cancer began in the Fall of 2021 and today March 2023, Dr. Safa told me I didn't have to come back to see him for a year (but I could if I wanted to!). I couldn't have asked for better people to accompany me in the hardest fight of my life.

Rona was very nice and great team. Dr Safa is very good and they took care of me. parking is very convenient and excellent! Dr Safa explained everything to me - I love everything about them. I love the magic hand of massage therapist - I got free massage after my treaments. excellent great mood

My Brother was diagnosed with a Oligodendrogilioma brain tumor stage 3. He came to Dr Safa and his staff for Qemo and Radiation therapy after surgery. They all are a God's sent a truly human kindness. From Rona (RN) Jessica, Marlene and Raymond for helping him through his therapy with so much care. Dr. Safa is one of the most caring, emphatizing doctor that i've been to. He explains well and clearly the procedures that will undergo during the therapy. He assures you that everything will be turn out well as long as you follow and believed, The staff too from Nurse Rona, to the therapists Marlene, Jessica and Raymond were so understanding and caring and did really a good job in giving assurance and comfort during the radiation therapy. Even Annette, the receptionist is very efficient. Overall, i felt that i am not sick during my 21 days of therapy because of the people around me. Thank you everyone for being so kind.

I was treated for squamous cell carcioma on my leg with radiation by Dr. Safa and his staff at Northridge Hospital. It was a very good experience. The nurses and the whole staff were wonderful, thoughtful, and caring to me. Dr. Safa explained the procedure very well to me and things progressed as he had said. This is why I would highly recommend Dr. Safa and his whole staff.

I was called to see Dr. Safa after my MRI on the brain. Dr. Safa spent a great deal of time going over my medical history and MRI report. He was very thoughtful in his questions. Asked me about any symptoms I was having, any headaches or dizziness, unbalanced walking etc. Then explained what he saw in the MRI and let me know he didn't feel I was in danger. But wanted to keep an eye on me. I really felt I was in great hands with Dr. Safa

Dr Safa and his staff are compassionate, communicative and excellent medical professionals. He always takes the time to exlplain whatever you want to know or are nervous about which in hs field are numerous items. I can't imagine you not feeling comfortable receiving treatment from him and his team.

Can't believe it's been 9 months since my last radiation treatment for NPC (stage IV). Today was my 6 month follow up visit, and it's was great to see Dr Safa and his staff: Ray, Jessica, Annette and Roxanne. Heard Nurse Jessica has retired. They were my guardian angels during those 2 intense months, and I'm going to be in debt to them for their compassion, support and kindness during my treatment. I can't say I'm cancer-free yet, but after 2 Pet scans, there's no evidence of carcinoma. Hope is high and keeping my fingers cross.

I can’t say enough positive things about Dr Safa and the people who work with him from Annette at the front desk to Rona l, the nurse, and technicians Raymond and Jessica plus the massage therapists Fernando and Yesenia. Dr Safa treats not only the cancer but the person as a whole. He took all the time I needed to talk to me and to help ease the anxiety I was feeling. I would not hesitate for one minute to be treated by him in the Leavey Treatment Center.

Having been told "You have Breast Cancer" was my worst nightmare! Having a great team of Doctors made this journey very easy. Dr. Safa and Rona were very helpful walking me through my radiation journey. For 6 1/2 weeks I had 33 treatments every morning at 7am. Having Ray and Jessica give me my treatments everyday, made me feel like I was seeing my friends before work. Ray and I had some great conversations! I did miss my routine when my treatments were over (for a couple days). Couldn't imagine this journey without this great group of people! Thank you so much!

This was a follow up visit almost a year after treatment. I have nothing but praise for my experience with Dr. Safa and his staff. Cancer is scary. They were my cheerleaders and made me as comfortable as possible during treatment. Dr. Safa is wonderful with answering questions and addressing concerns. They don’t forget about you when treatment is over and continue to follow up. I would and have recommended Dr. Safa.

Dr. Safa was terrific! Before my treatments, he took the time to explain everything in detail and to listen to my concerns. He did not rush through the information, but made sure I understood everything and was at ease with the plan. During the treatments, he was kind and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. When I arrived for my first appointment, Annette greeted me and helped to make me feel calm. She was friendly and helpful each time I was there. Roxanne was with me at each treatment and was a constant source of comfort throughout everything. She made sure I was as taken care of with each step of the treatment. Received radiation therapy following breast surgery to remedy DCIS, left side. Duration 4 weeks, 5 days per. Dr Afshin Safa, MD presided as radiation oncologist. All of staff was courteous and efficient for best possible outcome. Everyone projected positive attitudes, and offered information when requested. Sometimes without request.

I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on the back of my left ear. To avoid surgery, I chose to have radiology treatment. My regular dermatologist recommended Dr. Safa for this treatment. I had 8 treatments for 5 minutes each visit. Dr. Safa has been very personable and kind with his expertise. After his treatments, the tumor got smaller over the next month. By the end of July 2021, the tumor was gone completely. My skin was back to normal. Thanks to Dr. Safa for the excellent treatment!

My PSA is undetectable and has been, for the last two years! Friendly, courteous people…knowledgeable with any questions I might have…A+ !!!

Dr Safa and his staff are amazing! I was going through one of the hardest times in my life late last year and everyone I encountered made sure I was comfortable, explained everything in detail, I never felt rushed and they all really took the time to get to know me. Annette was wonderful at check in and scheduling, Jennifer his nurse is such a joy, I miss our daily chats, special shout outs to the radiation techs, Hasmukh, Ray, Tracy & Jessica as well for always going above and beyond! My radiation experience turned out to not be as scary as I thought it would thanks to Dr. Safa and his professional team. They walked me through every step of the process and it turned into a friendly routine despite the uncertainty of the Covid and the novelty of the treatment for me. They were always on time and always ready for me. Dr. Safa responded to all my doubts, worries and questions about radiation and cancer, both in person and on virtual visits. I’m grateful to have had such good care during Covid times.

Dr. Safa and his staff at Northridge Hospital were so wonderful and kind to me during my radiation therapy. Dr. Safa referred a book to me, written by another radiation oncologist, Roy Vongtama, MD. The book is titled, "Healing Before You're Cured". What a life changer this book is and was for me. I refer this book to friends that are ill, or anyone who is interested in expanding their minds and healing. I am very thankful to have been in the care of Dr. Safa and his staff.

Dr. Safa and his staff were very good at reducing the fear and stress that came with my cancer diagnosis and radiation follow up treatments. They were always very knowledgeable and, especially, compassionate and kind. My treatments unfortunately took place at the same time as the Covid-19 pandemic and even though everyone felt the undue stress and fear of exposure to the virus, Dr. Safa and his staff gave the best of care with the highest regard to everyone's safety.

I was referred to Dr. Safa by my Medical Oncologist because I had an unpleasant experience with a different Oncology Radiologist at a totally different hospital system. My husband and I made the long drive to meet with Dr. Safa and have a consultation about my treatment plan. Upon my initial meeting with him, I felt confident that I would be in excellent care with him. There are so many questions that you have when going through this type treatment, that it can feel a little overwhelming. However, Dr. Safa was very thorough in explaining what was going to happen and how it was going to happen; that it made me feel calm, relaxed, and trusting. Dr. Safa is very caring and does a thorough examination and answers every question I asked him. He is one of the best doctors I've had treating me in 80 years. His staff is so responsive and caring. You can't get any better medical care for cancer. They are the best!

I try to find a sliver lining where I can. It is hard to fine one when you are diagnosed with cancer. One of the biggest silver linings I have found was being introduced to Dr. Safa and his amazing team: notably Jennifer, Raymond, Jessica, Hasmuk (I know I totally misspelled her name) and Gloria (at the front desk). The care, the knowledge, the compassion that they deliver is everything that someone going through and ordeal like this needs. There is no way to express how much they mean to my husband and me. All we can do is write a stellar review and resting easy knowing that there is an amazing team helping us get through this.

When you require long term procedures it helps to have a staff that is more than just pleasant but actually makes it "fun" Gloria is a delight and the first person you meet. Jennifer is engaging makes you feel like you are having a conversation with a friend Jessica and Raymond ( Yes I included you :-) ) make the procedure easy explaining every step and again you feel like you are with friends. If you get a massage with Fernando that is magic. and then there is Dr. Safa who takes his time and answers every question and makes you laugh. I even got to meet Dr. Roy whose book healing before you are cured is a must read. If you need radiation they are your true team. They make you almost wish you had more treatments.. Almost but not really.

I had a very fantastic treatment with the staff here at Northridge . I know radiation traetment is not a fun for anyone , the whole staff made what could have been a difficult situation much more humane . Dr Safa is a top notch Radiation Oncologist .He was always avaliable for any questions and was truley interested in how I was doing physcically and mentaly . Jennifer , the mother hen , was awonderful nurse who took great care and was very interested in my well being . Gloria was my first contact with Dr. Saffa and was so comforting each time I came in. Always willing to go the extra mile. Jennifer, Hasmukh, Jessica and Raymond were like family for the duration of my treatment and my follow-up. Not just Dr. and staff. I follow his advice to walk 30 - 60 minutes a day. It feels good and helps me achieve my health goals. Dr. Safa has excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend him.

My recent visit with Dr Safa once again reminded of how much he cares about his patients. As an example, I told him I was considering changing my primary doctor for various reasons and asked if he had any recommendations. By the time my visit was over I had a very clear understanding of some things that I might want to consider before making any change. His guidance was caring, thoughtful, insightful, but most of all - intuitive. And he has a pleasant sense of humor, which is important to me.
