She is/was the best! Not sure where she is working now since she left Hagerstown, but I sure wish I knew. Helped me so much! She was the best endocrinologist around!

Wait times varies , DR. Maldonado always took the time for Patient she was with to explain and care in great detail. Focusing on the patient at hand sometimes causes waiting time for patients in waiting room . Dr. Maldonado was very specific and demanding of technicians in her lab work reports . Over a Period of time i became very trusting of opinions .

I went to see her about 2 years ago. Worst dr ever!!! I had a condition that got worsened because she didn't care to give me the medicine i required for it. I would never,ever recommend her to anyone!!!

She takes her time to explain my condition and questions. Most of all, I feel as if she cares about me as a person and my health. She is easy to talk too and has a wealth of information on many medical problems.

My first visit to her office made me wonder if I had regressed to elementary school with all her rules and contracts, including appt attendance discipline, while she can run 4hrs behind. However, having been left high & dry by my 1st endocrinologist because he couldn't see eye to eye with his office manager, the time spent was refreshing. Then she didn't test me after being forced by a recall to change medicines and I nearly ended up in the hospital missing 3 weeks of work. NO WAY AGAIN!

She was excellent in diagnosing, ordering correct test and taking time to go over all my test, gave me a choice in my treatment. I avoided surgery that I didn't need due to her expert judgement. I would recommend her to friends and family.

Wait time is always over 1 hr. Never get results of blood work and can't get a phone call returned. I would not recommend and plan to get a new doctor right after this appointment.

Waited two hours after scheduled appointment time, finally left after nurse suggested I reschedule for a morning appointment. Apparently this is a normal occurrence.

Waiting time is horrible to be with the provider briefly. Typical doctor who doesn't care much to explain in a manner that patient will understand.

Went over details, gave me long term plans, told me how to followup between appointments, gave me symptoms that I had not known and generally made me feel very assured that I would be heard and cared for. Explained her schedule and how she likes to work with a new patient, I told her what I needed (extensive notes as I forget all the details, and explanations to ease my anxiety). I felt very comfortable to committing myself to her care and long range goals.

She was over a half an hour late to my appointment. This is her second time making me wait more than a half an hour for her. I will not recommend her to anyone!
