About Adam A Brunson
Reviews for Adam A Brunson
After 16 plus years with Dr Brunson I feel that I have to move on. For a second time in recent years the scheduling and front pushed for me to fill a cancelation the day of only to not see me. I told them that it would be difficult to make the time because I was coming from far away. I said yes as long as they are okay if I may be late because of traffic. They said to get there as close to the time as possible. I was 12 minutes late, like I had concerns of, and they canceled me anyways after a 42 min drive. For a long time patient that waited multiple times in the front office and patient room for long periods of time I was very accomidating for them without frustration. The tone I recieved from the front office was probably the last. I rarely get to see Brunson anymore, whom I enjoy as a doctor very much. If I am gonna pay more through insurance to go see my long time doctor, I expect some courtesy in return for my patience over the years. I am sad to go, because I do think Dr Brunson is a great doctor. Thank you Dr Brunson.
Absolutely horrible experience. They disregard concern for continuity of care, lack clear communication, and leave you in a position with out the ability to refill expired prescriptions for serious heart medications. I am filing a grievance with Tricare. ALL VETERANS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I moved here 3 yrs ago after my wife’s death at my kids request. My son recommended Dr Brunson. A great recommendation. He and his staff are true caring professionals. I’m so proud my son recommended Dr Brunson. Thx, to him and his great staff. ????????????
I have been going to Dr. Brunson's office for just under 10 years. The level of care I have gotten has always been great. Have had a few last minute emergencies and his office is always able to get me the care needed. His office staff and medical team are so pleasant and caring. They always have a smile on their faces. Dr. Brunson listens to my concerns, gives good thoughtful feedback and works with you on a treatment plan. Dr. Brunson has a plethora of experience and it shows. I followed a Nurse Practitioner from another doctor's office several years ago. When she moved on, I stayed and saw another Nurse Practitioner. Now that she has moved, I recently saw Dr. Brunson for the first time and I am happy to report that I could not be more pleased! I was having back pain and after taking x-rays, Dr. Brunson recommended physical therapy. Not only was I able to do the physical therapy right there, but Robert was an excellent physical therapist! My back pain is gone and I learned so many stretches and ways to avoid the issue in the future. Finally, I also want to give kudos to Katie and the rest of the office staff. I cannot say enough about how positive this experience was. I am so glad that Dr. Brunson is my primary care physician! I followed a Nurse Practitioner from another doctor's office several years ago. Dr Brunson is fantastic. I am truly happy with his services. He is a busy Doctor. That is a good sign. People seek out his medical assistance repeatedly and refer to him regularly. Busy or not he still takes the time to answer your questions. I truly believe I am in good hands. I would recommend him to anyone in need of good medical care. Dr Brunson is fantastic. I have been a patient of Dr Brunson for several years. He was instrumental in my recovery after a severe car accident. His staff, front and back office has been so welcoming and attentive. I recommended him and his staff including the Physical therapists to everyone.
Extremely rude staff. Very disappointing experience. I will never come back here again.
If you are perfectly healthy you may use this office otherwise RUN. If you have ANY health issues please do yourself a favor and chose another doctor. Any other doctor will likely be better. You will not get very far here and you will burn your precious time that you could otherwise use for treatment of your condition.
If I could give them less than 1 star I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND INSURANCE WITH THIS DOCORS OFFICE. I'm an RN and I was appalled at how this office treated my husband on his first visit to this office. He waited for 50 minutes in his truck before being seen because "they were understaffed " He was there for a complete physical which they did not complete yet I'm sure they will bill for. He was told they were drawing labs in the office then told him they weren't going to and gave him orders and a list of Quest labs. Very disappointed in the care he received. The last handful of times I went to this office I was seen well after my appointment and rushed through, barely seeing someone for more than a few minutes. One of the Nurse Practitioners was putting in my replacement IUD and refused to ask for help for over 20 minutes until I was crying in pain and finally got the doctor to assist. (which I ended up having to get it removed under anesthesia because it was put in wrong). Then at the start of all of the COVID mess I tried to make an appointment and they informed me that they were not taking my insurance any longer (no notice given) and it would be a higher rate to continue at their office. So I moved to another doctor that did take my insurance. Now their office manager is refusing to transfer my records to my new doctor unless I pay them $150. The records manager was short and rude with me saying it is their right to charge and if I wanted my records I knew the price to get them. I have never had a doctors office charge me any fees to transfer my own records to another office. Even my new doctor said it is poor practice to request a patient to pay to transfer their own records from one office to another. I do NOT recommend this office. The office manager has no clue what she is doing. Her front office team members are clueless and run a practice that is not one that strives to provide great client services. The practice in whole doesn't in my eyes provide the best possible care for their patients. They are all about the $$$ and not the patients best interests. I would strongly suggest you do your homework and research the next provider you will select to care for your medical needs. The office manager has no clue what she is doing. Update, the care towards the patent has gotten worse. Ive chosen to leave their care due to the office staff. They tried to charge me 45-95 dollars to have my records sent to new pcp. So beware. Do yourselves a favor and read these reviews. When I first started going to this office, everything was great, friendly staff, on time appointments and all around a good vibe. What seems like this last year the office has really declined in these areas. The last 3 attempts of communicating with the Dr has failed. I've been told I would get an email but no email was sent. Called and left message with Drs assistant , as well as left messages through the portal and yet I never had any communication back unless I called and let them know I wasn't hearing back from the office. I've been a patent for about 10 yrs and to be treated this way is unacceptable. Like I said it wasn't always this way but as of lately it seems to be more about the money and less about patent care. One positive is that the appointments are met on time or with in reason. If you are going to be managing someone's health you need to make sure you are contacting them back. I have gone to Dr. Brunson for 15 years and over the last 2 years the customer service of his staff has fallen off significantly. I understand that his wife, Nicole, has taken a leadership role and may be responsible for this decline in care. I have had numerous issues dealing with follow-up, prescription refills and scheduling with most concluding in complete frustration. I am very disappointed in Dr. Brunson for allowing this decline in service that is clearly being noticed based on the recent reviews. I do not recommend this practice. Complete lack of patient care and customer follow up service.
Non-existent customer service and follow up customer care.
Dr. Brunson and his staff are excellent. I have been his patient since I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, about 10 years and I have been treated well with respect. Also my health issues and questions are taken seriously and my questions are answered. I give Dr. Brunson and his staff 10 stars.
I have been going to Carillon Sports & Family Medicine for over 10 years. The staff has always been professional and knowledgeable. They are thorough during my annual physicals, and are open to discuss any concerns I may have, as well as pointing out important medical issues, e.g. flu shots, age related procedures, etc... I generally see a nurse for my annual physical and they have all been professional and well educated. I have been to Dr. Brunson a few times for injuries, and have received great care. I am absolutely confident in Dr Brunson and the staff's medical skills, knowledge and care for me and my family!
Very disappointing visit today. It's sad when you leave the doctor's office and the only things that feels lighter is your purse.
They have been very good to me over the years. You know the usual stuff.... saved a kidney.... a leg..... Usually can get you in the same day.
Dr. Brunson has been my physician for seven years now, best doctor I’ve ever had. Friendly staff, I would recommend him to everyone I know.

I've been going here for over 10 years. My parents also go here. When I've had sports related injuries I've seen Dr. Brunson, or Dr. Vermeer, one of the newer physicians at the clinic. I used to see Lindsay and have seen Karen and Melissa, the ARNPs. I have had a non-series chronic infection and did some research for other ways to treat other than constant courses of anti-biotics, I brought it to Dr. Vermeer. He looked into it and went with the therapy I proposed. This means he listened and in his opinion felt that it was a valid treatment choice. I really appreciated that. This is the worst doctors office I have been to. I call them, they don’t answer. Leave voicemails, they don’t answer. I have had an ongoing infection for months and the staff doesn’t seem to care. Rude staff. Never coming here again.
Jerk doctor. 1 star is too much. I explained that I did not have health insurance and his staff insisted that I did so they said that they would try to bill my blood test through my insurance to see what happens. I told them that I knew I did not have insurance but if that's what they suggested then I guess whatever, they were the experts. Low and behold the blood test was not paid by insurance and I got a nice $900.00 bill from LabCorp. When I questioned his office they said that if they would have known that I had no insurance I could have paid the "cash pay" price. When I brought up the issue to Dr. Brunson he just blew me off, insinuated that I was a liar and told me to go buy health insurance. Thanks Doc!!! Jerk doctor. 1 star is too much. After my experience today, this office deserves ZERO stars. I have been a patient at Adam Brunson's office for over 10 years. Adam is fantastic, most of the back office staff is great, but, WTF... the front office is a nightmare! I have ignored all the 1 stars over the years, even consulted Brunson on the front office "disasters" that I have witnessed over the years happening to other patients, I'm in marketing, but today, it happened to me. Nurse Practitioner is lovely... as for the way their front office treats patients and referrals- that's another story. I had gone here twice - once for a wellness exam and once for another reason. During my wellness exam I was prescribed a medication. Now a year later they are telling me I have to make 2 appointments- one to go in and have them prescribe me my medication again and another for the wellness exam. I completely understand they need to see me to prescribe a medication but they REFUSED to do it during the wellness exam. The lady even fought with me over the phone instead of offering a solution. Therefore I have to take time out of my schedule TWICE- pay the copay TWICE. In addition to this I referred a friend to them. They treated him terribly and ultimately told him to find another provider- all because he rescheduled ONCE. I'll be finding another provider and I suggest if you want to save your time and money for a facility who cares about your health,- you do the same. He is a great doctor. I have been going to him for years and have referred many other patients to him and they all like him very much. The man is very knowledgable, listens, gives you options and doesn't rush you through a visit.
I went for the first time to transfer all my meds to this office for Primary care. Melissa was great and very intelligent and caring. Better than any primary doctor I ever seen in my life.
Being a physician myself, I can tell you that Brunson is a "Doctor's Doctor." Any patient who posts a negative review is either upset they couldn't get the appointment they wanted, the meds they demanded, or actually had to be responsible for their bill. As far as medical knowledge and treatment, this office could not be better. Yes, they are busy, but worth the wait if you actually want to feel better. You don't actually get to meet Dr. Brunson--you work with the nurse practitioner mostly. I am new to the area and found this location online through other reviews. I've found the experience to be below average. The NP doesn't contact you regularly unless you write to her in the patient portal. When you get a reply, it is not even that friendly (kind of curt in her responses). She wasn't proactive about finding solutions or providing suggestions--I had to keep writing for help in the portal.
I have been a patient for 3 years. I saw Dr. Brunson on my first visit and once when having a hip problem. I see his PA every 3 months to monitor my hypothyroid. I have confidence in all of those I have seen and do not have any complaints. I agree with others that it is a busy office, but it is very efficient and caring. Since I have to go so often, I can vouch for their consistency. I think that I get good care from his practice.

I was searching for a primary care physician for a long time and someone recommended ARNP Lindsey to me. She was awesome, but no longer works for this office. I also like ARNP Fehr, though. I only had to see Dr. Brunson once, when I had a serious back issue. He quickly identified the problem and provided me with proper medication that helped a lot. The medicine allowed my pain to be manageable while I healed. They are also often able to see you very quickly, which is a HUGE plus as my last primary care couldn't see me without a month's notice. I've been going to Carillon Sports and Family Medicine for about 16 months. I've seen the actual Doctor, Dr. Brunson once. I have Alzheimer's (very beginning) Disease and have missed a few appointments. Last year I was out of their network and the missed appointments cost me $50 a pop. Now that I'm in network they can only charge $15. So they gave me my walking papers. Told me never to come back

My experience with this doctors office has been terrible to say the least. I was referred to a dr from this office who ended up messing up on my surgery leading to my ankle needing to be fused. I am constantly having my migrane meds messed up so I can't get them for weeks. They hold my prescription so I can't get them if I don't go into them multiple TIME a year. I never have good service and constantly stated how much I hate them. I am always upset when having to deal with this office.

This negative review is directed only at the haughty demeanor of the receptionist. I did not get a chance to see Dr. Brunson.
I don't have problem with Dr Brunson because I did not even meet him. Why? Because there is this extremely offensive receptionist who seems to have problem either understanding what her job is; or treating people with respect, particularly colored people; or both. There is this fat white girl who has a pretty cold attitude like Ann Coulter; Well I can deal with that; I have seen worse and at least they get their jobs done. Based on my two visits to this site (for reason below) and half hour observation, she seems cool enough dealing with white people, but when I come up to ask her (I am Asian) she is just cold and unhelpful, and extremely unwilling to answer any of my inquiries. The first time, she just leaves the desk half way and her manager (I guess, judging from age and manners &c.) has to jump in. I totally don't understand where her pride is from, or how she retains a job in service industry without a correct attitude. My conjecture, judging from her generous girth, is she was raised in some extremely southern (I will just avoid the "R" word) family and her parents fail to teach her any lessons concerning manners except two of deadly sins, wrath and gluttony. For identification purpose she has cupcake tattoo on her right fore-arm. I don't even care to ask her name so I do not have to retain garbage in my brain. They screwed up my appointment too. When one expects me to show up at the clinic at 9:00, he/she writes 9:00 on my form, right? Now she wrote 9:30 on my form, and when I showed up, she told me I should arrive half an hour earlier because I need to register and forms and stuff. What the frak!!!You do realize I have a real job right? Those people have fraking one job, and they seem to have problem completing it. I won't draw any conclusion concerning the technique of Dr Brunson. I guess he could be a very good doctor; but judging by his administrative skills and his staff I seriously doubt it.
