Adam Howard Beckerman

Not only does Dr. Beckerman not care about his patients' needs and symptoms, but his office, especially his office manager, are unprofessional and indifferent. After making me suffer for three months with symptoms which continually grew worse and after visiting his office and going for recommended testing, no one felt the need to prescribe me medicine to help alleviate my ailments. Not only that but they lied on the patient portal stating that I had spoken with the doctor when in fact it was always office staff because he could not be bothered to pick up the telephone. It was very clear that the only thing this office and doctor wanted was to be paid by the insurance company for unnecessary office visits. Don't bother with this doctor or office. They are horrible.

Great doctor. Some of the Front desk staff should not be working in the medical field.

I have been going to Dr. Beckerman for more than 10 years. He is a fantastic doctor and a good person as well. Will make anyone feel comfortable.

Just had a consultation with Dr. Beckerman and feel much better about the procedures I have scheduled. Dr. Beckerman listened to my concerns and gave me additional prep instructions that will help. I went to see Dr. Beckerman in November 2020 with an extremely damaged liver due to years of alcohol abuse and hepatitis C. To put in mildly he saved my life. I quit drinking, changed my diet and started a daily exercise program. Dr. Beckerman's positive and encouraging guidance has kept me on this life saving healthy path. My Hep C is gone and my liver function results are all in the normal range. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Beckerman, his colonoscopy lab staff on the day of my procedure as well as his front end staff. Dr. B took his time with me, explained the procedure, explained what I had to do on my part, and was kind and caring the entire time. He gave me his complete divided attention at our follow up appointment. Thank you to one and all for a most positive procedure.

My first impression with him made me feel comfortable that I was in good hands. As time went on I found out I was mistaken. Dr Beckerman is only concerned for the well being of his pocket $$$ and not his patients. I suffered for over a month under his care and he was neither concerned or helpful. I called his office several times with no response from him. His staff are wonderful people and perhaps other dr’s there are good but as for him he is tax evading criminal (google his name) who should be in jail. You have been warned proceed with caution.

Intelligent, honest and a bedside manner it makes you feel completely comfortable. He’s a Doctor Who truly cares about his patients.

Dr. Beckerman is an excellent physician. He is very clear with his diagnosis and treatment. He creates a professional, caring and smiling atmosphere. He is a unique gift to his patients. Dr. Beckerman is an excellent physician. He is very clear with his diagnosis and treatment. He always takes the time to make sure my son always has the best of care. I know I can always depend on him to make the right decision regarding his treatment. It’s so comforting knowing my son’s health is in the hands of someone exceptional. He is truly a remarkable doctor and professional that I respect and trust.  And…we really enjoy his personality. In addition to Dr. Beckerman, his staff is also amazing. They always go beyond the call of duty to accommodate the needs of the patients.

Dr. Beckerman is a caring and competent GI doctor who has been taking care of me for years. We recommend many of our patients to him!

Excellent doctor, knowledgable, friendly, compassionate

Dr. Beckerman is an unbelievable doctor as well as his staff !His concern goes well and beyond. His staff is very professional, especially his assistant Kim. He takes a personal interest in your care, follows up with phone calls, (always returns your call) , and always has options for you to discuss. He takes the time to hear what you have to say and his extremely knowledgeable. My entire family uses him.The wait time in his office is minimal maybe 10 minutes.You will see a knowledgeable doctor

Have been going to him for 4 months now, just got an endoscopy done and him and his staff are amazing. Everyone made me feel as comfortable as possible and they were all so friendly.

I have a controversial view of Dr. Beckerman. I think he is a nice and caring man who wants to see his patients get better. On the same note, he ordered ~18 tests in the short few months I was his patient and when he didn't know what the problem was, he sent me off for a second opinion. After seeing his mugshot on the news, it's difficult to feel that his incentive wasn't financial. His office staff is god-awful. I've never seen so many rude and self-centered people working in the medical field.

The best GI on LI!! Honestly you won’t find a more thorough, caring, and cool doctor. He literally took every possible step in helping me with my GI issues were it either tests or scans all done with incredible staff. Also he was honest and easy to be around which makes going to the doctor less scary. You won’t find a better more caring doctor. The only GI who actually delivered results not just guessed what was wrong. Excellent staff and location!

t has taken me a long time to write this review. Dr. Beckerman was a doctor me & my family went to for years. He was always nice, a jokester, easy to talk to. I can write a 10 page essay about him on my review and how poorly he recently misdiagnosed me. VERY LONG story short, he diagnosed me with SMA syndrome (one of the most RAREST DIGESTIVE DISORDER -- look it up, it doesn't even have a freakin' webMD page its that rare) for no reason other than I had 1 or 2 symptoms related to SMA (nausea, throwing up, weight loss -- also related to MANY OTHER DIGESTIVE DISORDERS) I canceled my business trip, went to 4 surgeons who told me that having surgery was NOT advised because if I had SMA, I would be basically hospitalized because of the severe pain, I would be emaciated and I wouldn't be able to digest any food. Which none of the above was happening. When I went back into his office telling him that the surgeons needed more tests to prove that I had nothing else going on (example - stool test, breath test, MRI, doppler test) he said it was not needed and I needed surgery. I told him, well, the surgeons won't give me surgery...what if this was your daughter what would you do? He responded with "well that's why I don't have any daughters" I left his office, found a new GI would gave me all the needed tests & treated me with THE MOST COMMON DIGESTIVE DISORDER. Unfortunately, since I was misdiagnosed for so long, and suffered months throwing up, in and out of hospitals, losing tons of weight, taking so many medications, my stomach has irreversible damage and I may have chronic issues all my life because of Dr. Adam Beckerman. I was pleased that Dr. Beckerman took me with 2 days notice. While I was concerned that my chart was not viewed as part of the intake, he seemed competent and caring. I arrived early but did not have to wait as I was taken right in. It was agreed that a test would be performed. Its not been almost two weeks and I have not received an authorization for the test or had any communication regarding any problem. I called the office, and after a lengthy recording, was hung up on twice. Someone answered the third time and put me on hold. After 11 minutes, I called back only to hear a recording that the office was now closed - which is three hours earlier than what the message stated. I called the service, and after an even longer message, was hung up on. The second time, and hearing the same long message, I was put on hold for 4 minutes and then told to call back the office because they are not really closed. So I call back, and after a lengthy message, they did not pick up the phone but again provided the service number by message. I understand that doctors and medical facilities are expected to perform to high standards and perhaps don't earn the proper amount for their services. But I have a firm belief that medical care for the average citizen is a miserable proposition, however, because access to care is difficult. There should be procedures in place to request authorizations for tests, availability to speak to at least a receptionist, and a phone system that does not misstate office hours or otherwise can be used to communicate with the office. Perhaps the office should invest in an email address or fax machine to allow for communication when the phone system does not work. I firmly believe the doctor will treat me competently, but as a patient, my experience with the office staff was less than expected. I was pleased that Dr. Beckerman took me with 2 days notice. Dr. Beckerman has a calm and reassuring bedside manner. One of my favorites.

Dr. Beckerman is one of the best medical professionals I've ever dealt with. He listens patiently and with interest, asking clear questions to clarify the information he needs. He discusses his thoughts and evaluation, presents options and alternatives, and involves me in all decisions about my treatment. He goes out of his way to make sure I understand everything associated with my treatment plan. While throughly professional, his manner is very warm and straightforward. He follows up, too!

If you are on the look for a great GI doctor, please continue your search. My family and I have been going to him for years, got routine colonoscopies, went to him for minor IBS problems, etc. When I started having severe stomach issues, he misdiagnosed me with one of the rarest stomach disorders. I went to 4 surgeons, which further complicated the REAL issue. Once I finally found a good GI, he diagnosed me with the real issue but now I will chronic stomach issues my entire life bc of him.

Dr. Beckerman is wonderful but try getting through to someone in the office is impossible. Called and left 2 messages today so far and no call back. Called at 9:30am and 2:20 pm. It would be better if I could actually speak with a live person.

Dr Beckerman is probably the most professional and communicative doctor I have ever been to. I wish my other doctors were as comforting to visit.

Dr. Beckerman takes his the time to talk to you one on one concerning your ailments, His office staff is always there to help as well. I love going to him he makes me feel very comfortable.
