My rating is for the staff operations and company policy. My mother has been wearing a heart monitor for a month and was to receive her results today after not even being allowed to do her stress test initially because her BP was that bad (finally! - we were so excited the anticipation was over) ONLY to have her turned away and rescheduled because she was 8 minutes late to her appointment. I spoke with Josh the office manager, who explained pretty much that yea that’s just what they do when the provider says to do so. ???? I have been in the healthcare industry 14 years and a manager myself, and I absolutely would have never let that happen or be ok. So please be on time for your heart’s sake!!!! Great people and excellent service.

Visited Cardiologist Dr. Ada Mercada with Wellstar and highly recommend her. She is very personable and knowledgeable. Takes her patients at appointment time and answers all questions without you feeling rushed.

first visit - Dr. spent 4 minutes with me, sent me off for test and never followed up. Had her nurse call. After 3 messages to the nurse to have the dr. call me and one formal online letter - never received a call back. Kim - the nurse, responded - once I was told "she has patients today and I can help you," but my questions were not answered. Then I was told that she doesn't call back but I could make another appt to come back and talk to her. Then a letter was not read by the dr. DO NOT REC.

Dr Mercado was thorough in checking me. She took her time answering all my questions and didn't rush me. She showed me my test results and walked me through it so I can understand her explanation. She also tried to connect with me on a personal level which I appreciated. I was seen right away. I recommend Dr. Mercado.
