Abuhuziefa Abubakr

I would not recommend I was in extreme pain and he would not listen to anything I was saying. I would explain how I was feeling and he would just dismiss everything and tell me that I am not in pain he has no empathy. He dismissed all my concerns and tells me how I am feeling. Please save your self the time and get a different provider. I am very disappointed. He should not be dealing with patients if he’s not gonna listen to anything they say.

Really appreciate Dr Abubakr and his knowledge.

My brother has multiple mental and physical health issues, he's also extremely sensitive. With Dr Fitzpatrick's assistance we were applying for a home health aide due to his many problems, he's unable to be alone or do things for himself. We were in the application process for months, we needed an additional letter for his application. I spoke to the receptionist, she said we would have to come in for an appointment to obtain the letter. She said Dr. Fitzpatrick was unavailable and referred us to Dr. Abuhuziefa Abubakrr. When we arrived I saw Dr. Abuhuziefa Abubakr pacing nervously up-and-down the hallway as we were waiting. I thought this was very unusual and shocked to see he was the doctor we were meeting. When called into the examination room I sat in the chair expecting my brother to sit on the examination table. I explained we were here for my brother Dr. Abuhuziefa Abubakrr arrogantly responded "You're not the patient, get out of that chair it's for the patient!" In shock I replied "I thought the patients sat on the table", he said no and he ordered me to get out of the chair. I then asked if I could grab a chair from the hallway, he said NO. I had no choice but to stand for the duration of the appointment. I began to explain we are here for a letter for my brother's home health aide, Dr. Abuhuziefa -Abubakr abruptly told me to "stop talking, I don't know anything about it" refusing to provide the letter. My brother spoke up. He said "We were told to come in for the letter that's why we're here". Again he told us to stop talking, we could talk at the end. He then opened up my's records reviewing his past memory test results. We were aware of the results. He reviewed the results from months ago referring us to doctors at NYU. He had no regard for why we were there. I tried talking again, he cut me off saying "You don't care about anyone but yourself, you don't care about your brother!" I said "Excuse me! I've been taking care of my brother for years. He's living in my home. I'm his caretaker, that's why I am here." He finally said "OK let the front desk put together the letter and I'll sign it." I then proceeded to the women at the front desk explaining what needed to be in the letter, she composed it. She asked the doctor to sign it, he again started with his antics. He went into the computer viewing my brother's original application instructing her to change the date and use it instead. Realizing what he was doing I told him that wasn't necessary, it was already submitted. We just needed the letter. He told me to go into the examination room and wait there. We'll discuss it there, all 3 of us including the woman composing the letter. This move was just to get rid of me so I didn't give directions as to what was needed in the letter. I went into the examination room. Finally he came into the room telling me I could leave. No further discussion about the letter. He told me it was at the front desk. After leaving I looked at the letter. I was shocked! He spitefully added an additional sentence stating my brother needed a home health aide for 6 weeks until his next appointment. This letter went against everything we'd been working for, a permanent home health aide. He went over my brother's records stating his memory and brain function were very poor, possibly dementia this among other things only requires an aide for 6 weeks?. We wasted a day for this appointment, planning for transportation etc. My brother is very fragile and we can not just pick up and go for no reason.
