I love childrens heart center. All the Drs. are amazing. My 1 year had to have open heart surgery for epsteins anomaly. I was really thinking about going to mayo clinic in pittsburgh but i am so glad i chose to stay local allowed the surgeons at childrens heart center to do her surgery. Children's heart center deserves way more than the 3 star rating it has as of today. I'm surprised more patients haven't written reviews. We have been going to CHC since my son was a newborn. He is now a big 13 year old. CHC is a great facility centrally located in the Vegas valley with quality, professional doctors. We have seen a few others here in the practice besides our regular cardiologist who is Dr. Rothman. He is an amazing doctor! My husband & I have total trust, faith & confidence in Dr. Rothman when it comes to our son's medical care. He is highly educated in his field and it shows. He knows so much about the heart & congenital heart disease. We feel so lucky to have him as our son's physician. Thank you Dr. Rothman! First I want to say that Dr. Rollins and the staff at Children's Heart Center are beautifully amazing. They have been so helpful in helping both my wife and myself through the difficult time we are in right now with our unborn daughter. They are not only some of the most professional individuals I have ever dealt with but the doctor's are clearly experts in the field of pediatric cardiology. In the unfortunate event you find yourself bringing your baby here, know that there is no better spot than Children's Heart Center. Worst sense of professionalism ever!!!! My son's first appointment was our last!! It was stressed to me that I make sure to show up to the appt early for paperwork. Well we got there early just to sit in the waiting room for 45 min before we saw ANYONE that worked there. So I could've spent that 45 min filling out paperwork instead of trying to listen to the dr while filling it out! Then I accidentally scheduled both my kids Dr appts on the same day (follow-up appt) around the same time at different places (it happens), so as a parent I prioritized & we missed the heart center appt, I even called to tell them about my mistake. Everything seemed fine until they charged me (medicaid recipient) $25 no show. That's against federal law. Imagine that!! No one in billing will answer or return my phone call. I have been going to Children's Heart Center since my son was born (genetic heart defect.) My oldest was also seen at their location in Henderson. I'm not sure what was going on the day the other reviewer visited, but the location by Sunset Hospital has always had at least two office attendants working the front desk and my wait has never been more than 15 min (usually we go right in.) We specifically requested Dr. Rothman after doing research on all the Pediatric Cardiologists in the area. From what we researched all of the cardiologists at Chilren's Heart Center have very impressive reputations and we would have felt comfortable taking our children to any of them, Rothman was the one we met while our child was in NICU. Dr. Rothman often has medical students or Resident Drs with him during appointments. This is something I enjoy as I not only get to ask him questions, but I also get to hear him explain what he is looking/listening for to the students (mostly medical terms I don't fully understand,) but interesting none the less. The confidence he has while teaching gives me more confidence in his knowledge and understanding. He also has a very kind bedside manner and is very understanding of my child being a child (wiggly) during our appointments. Our child is going in for surgery soon and I feel confident Dr. Rothman has done an excellent job keeping us up to date and collecting data for the surgeon to accurately treat my boy. Dr Rothman is an amazing doctor. He's always polite. He spends all the time we need to make sure every question is answered and explained. One of the best cardiologists I've ever had.
