Do not go to this doctor. My father was a patient of his for over 20 years. His office is outdated & doesn't have the capability to do anything. My dad visited his office the day before he passed away. My father looked unwell and had lost a lot of weight and instead of calling the ambulance like a logical doctor would, he sent him home with some scripts. My dad passed away the next day. Dr. Garfinkel didn't even call my family to express his condolences or even send flowers despite my family having a long standing relationship with him. Stay away unless you want mediocre care. I regret not having my dad switch providers a long time ago.

It was 430 when I called....closed...they close at 5. They have failed to properly approve my medication the last three months I had to borrow and I'm in debt from paying with my own for my own medication very nice doctor definitely knows what he's doing super lack of communication and don't know if they're doing on filling the script end at all have cost me days of work and hours of my life It was 430 when I called....closed...they close at 5. He is patient very thorough and always there for his patient

I’m not one to run to the DR for every little thing, been a patient with him for 30+ years. I needed a RX for a CT scan and since he is my primary DR, I went to see him, HSS found a nodule on my lung, had the report with me! After I sat waiting for over 1 hour I was told that I am creating more work for him and Ally, his secretary. Really, unreal!!!!! I offered to leave, then he changed his tune and said, well I do get paid for it. No concern about me possibly having lung cancer, at all. The results are in and he never even bothered to call me and explain the CT scan report. Some DR he has become, if you are not a regular every week or month patient, he can care less, it won’t be worth his while!

Since 1984 Dr. Garfinkel has been the BEST family MD to my wife & myself as well as all of our four children, my mother, aunt, cousins and friends. Always available to help us with all types of medical issue. He has been a great asset to our family.

Scheduling is great, very friendly staff Dr. is very informative and very thorough.

Dr G is the best. Simple as that.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY!!!! He is disrespectful, rude, short fuse and no bed side manners. He has an all know ego. You can not ask questions because he becomes offended because you are questioning his knowledge. Does not let you talk or express yourself. You are limited as to what you can say. If you have a concern and ask him to check it (ex: you may think you have anemia or high billirubin) he will say no. If you go to a heart specialist and the specialist refers you back to him so he can do further testing that are not heart related (ex: anemia,high billirubin, etc) he does not want to follow up because he says that is the specialist that needs to follow up. My husband had high blood pressure and at the same visit showed him an MRI and blood results. He would not read it and asked him to make another appointment. All he does is stare at his computer and doesn't even look at you. Has no nurse to help him. Very self centered!!!!

The best addiction treatment doctor I've ever met. He truly cares about me as a patient and a person. He even set me up with a job interview. Just an all-around great guy. No ego. No BS. Will help his patients through the bad and the ugly. Office is beautiful/clean. The girls up front are very sweet and keep things confidential. I credit him with saving my life. Wait time can be brutal - once waited almost two hours - but for addicts, nobody can match his expertise and flexibility.

I was a well established patient for over 35 years&had great faith in Dr. Garfinkel, always felt that he was there for me until October 2015. Without any notice of change in office policy or warning that I was being terminated as a full time, established patient, when I was very ill with a severe chest cold, I called to see if I could be seen on an urgently. I was told to come right in&given the time to come in. Suddenly, I was put on hold then told that I was no longer a patient&wasn't told why
