I saw Dr Patel regarding a severe sprain and in my opinion he was basically useless. After getting myself to the office with great difficulty and crutching all the way up he barely looked at me and said go home and call if you're not walking by Monday. He didn't even examine my foot. On my next visit he poked my ankle once asked if it hurt and recommended an MRI and a lace up boot. He sent in another doc to fit me for the boot and I was in so much pain he said oh I guess you're not ready for this yet. I asked if Patel was planning to come back to do any type of exam or evaluation and he said no not until the MRI. Post MRI he walked in and said "So do you want surgery?" before even going over the results. Then he tried to scare me into surgery. After that I left and got a competent doctor who took the time to examine my injury and surprise surprise didn't actually need surgery. That doctor has apparently received a lot of his unsatisfied patients.

In 2018 I had Gastocnemius Recession surgery. I was told I would be weight bearing the DAY OF surgery. I did not get instructions for PT, and he told me recovery would not be long at all. When in fact the full recovery time is SEVEN months and weight bearing may not occur from 6-12 weeks after surgery. I had to quit my job because I couldn't drive there (having a boot on my right leg for a long period) and was in a massive amount of pain, and would get incredible cramps that I was not warned about. After surgery the nurse tried to have me stand up and I fell back on the bed in incredible pain and made me feel foolish for wanting crutches or a wheel chair. I am still appauled that I did not get the care I should have recieved, and the correct knowledge for rehabilitation after my calf was cut. I do not recommend him. Find another knowledgeable doctor.

I started seeing him in May of 2020 and if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be walking, the downfall is my procedure require multiple surgeries to get my foot corrected which I am grateful for him to be able to do all that he has done.

Very thorough doctor. Operation went well. Now in recovery.

I have had 2 surgeries with Dr. Patel and he was a great listener, transparent, and always made sure I understood all processes and outcomes. I would highly recommend him.

I would never recommend this doctor he completely misrepresented what he was going to do to my foot and left me crippled and disabled. Set of having a simple tendon repair he cut bones in my arch put screws in my foot that damaged my bones to the point that I can no longer bear weight on my foot then if this was discussed with me prior to surgery he completely misinformed me and now 15 months later I am still on able to walk, work or drive a car For longer than 40 mins. I can’t wear shoes properly and I can’t even stand in line at the grocery store without pain not to mention that I will never be able to go walking or hiking with my dogs, dancing walking in an airport or train station or do anything that requires me to go more than a few hundred feet at a time. This is the worst doctor ever and no one should see him for any kind of surgery! After three surgeries and still no good outcome This man doesn’t even care that he has crippled me for the rest of my life!

Doesn't take the time to listen to your symptoms or provide a logical explanation to next steps for treatment/recovery. Does not follow a thorough examination to orthopedic issues, which is said specialty. I waited longer in the waiting room, which was under 110 minutes, than the appointment with him itself. Great person, below acceptable medical care.

The worst doctor I' he seen in my life.. Stay away ..He did give me any information about my pain or procedure . He hurt my ankle and told me: I did not assault you . Terrible experince
