Dr. Abay is very thorough. Absolutely amazing doctor listens takes his time with you.. I had Dr Abay for years now highly recommended!!!

First off, let me start with the awesome staff, from scheduling to follow up; super pleasant and efficient. Dr. Abay, can't say enough good things, informative, concise, fully answered any and all questions and concerns. Highly recommend! 2nd visit just as great as the first one - minor in office procedure and Dr. Abay took the time to go over eveything (again)!

After 7 or 8 years of constant IBSD, Dr. Abay finally figured out my problem. We are successfully treating it. I am so grateful for the final relief!

I like Dr. Abay very much! He was very thorough and spent a lot of time with me. Dr. Abay is extremely knowledgeable and really wants to figure out what's going on with my abdominal problem. I would surely recommend him to a close friend or family member.

I recently had an appointment for my annual check up with Dr Abay. Everything went well and smooth.

When I was first diagnosed with my illness, I had to jump through hoops to get the medication to cure it. Dr Abay sent me to New Haven hospital over a dozen times, to go through a barrage of tests, most of which he had already had done. When asked by the doctor at Yale/NH hospital why my gastroenterologist had sent me, and I told him, he got really angry, and offered to write me a prescription there and then. That was years ago. Now, trying to call for an appointment with Dr Abay is basically impossible. No one in the office answers the phone... ever. Instead, you're routed to the automatic system's message line, where you get to play phone tag with the office. Unfortunately, Norwich GI seems to be the only available service of its kind in the Norwich area, so options are few.

Great doctor. Tried to get appointment not realizing he was now part of Conn GI. What used to be simple (making an appointment) became absolutely ridiculous! Had to leave messages at Corporate Headquarters (really). Messages were answered one or two days later and usually at times I was unavailable. So the process started again…leave a message and hope you were home when the call was returned. After finally making contact with a live person, I was given an appointment at a time that was changed (4) times. What used to be as easy as a phone call became a one of the most aggravating and frustrating experiences I can remember. Just trying to schedule an appointment with a doctor I’ve seen numerous times before. Found another doctor (not associated with Conn GI) and got an appointment with one phone call. Great doctor. Listens and thorough in review.

Dr Abay, is an excellent and caring doctor. I would recommend him to any one with G.I. problems. The office staff is also great to work with.

Dr. Abay came into the exam room in a very gruff and impatient manner and he never asked me anything about why my doctor sent me to him. He did however grill me and imply that I was there seeking pain medicine for the simple reason that I had to have 5 mg of pain medicine after open heart surgery over a year earlier. His prejudice of me was humiliating and unprofessional. I got confused by his questions, but tried to focus on the MRI my doctor sent him about the lesion and sickness. Instead of answering he started packing up to leave and said out could be cancer and if there is pain it's probably a pulled muscle. I was shocked and scared, but couldn't ask any questions since he had run out of the room. My husband was there in the room throughout the appointment. He had been hoping, like me, that this guy would alleviate his worry. Instead of alleviating our concern, Abay angered my husband and confused to heck out of me. I called the CTGI about his treatment and never got apology
