We met Dr. Wernicke under dire circumstances, having been faced with a frightening diagnoses of cancer. From the day we met in consultation till the very last day of follow up after treatment, she exuded radiance, optimism, humanity, expertise and kindness. She was wiping off my tears and holding my hand - I've never met anyone as compassionate and caring in medicine to date. Dr.Wernicke was confident that I will beat the odds, and I am cancer free! My family and I could not be more grateful!

This is the most caring and compassionate doctor I had ever met! She is warm, kind, very knowledgeable, and very hands on. A true healer!!!

Dr.Wernicke is a unique doctor in a league of her own! She is not only a wonderful specialist in radiation oncology but is also a very compassionate and attentive clinician. She held my hand through my radiation therapy and was never short on time to listen to me,my husbandand and my daughters, even though she is incredibly busy. Her heart is enormous, her smile is warm, and her attitude is to treat a person as such rather than a 'disease' or 'cancer'. She is an extraordinary human being!

Dr. Wernicke is one of the most kind and caring doctors I have ever met. I felt very comfortable and at ease under her care. She is very personable, extremely competent, and very generous with her time and warmth.
