Dr. Zuhre N Tutuncu

This doctor did nothing for me. It was a waste of my precious time and energy to see her.

My visits w Dr Tutuncu have been some of my best experiences at Scripps.Not only is she highly intelligent and caring she is extremely friendly and outgoing and just a delight to be around I would recommend her to anyone and enjoy my visit with her immensely.

I’ve met with Dr Tutuncu only a few times but she was great. She’s very attentive, likable and most importantly effective in her diagnosis and treatment (fybromyalgia in my case). The recommendations she made have me out of bed more with lowered pain levels for the first time in years. The on boarding process to new Rx’s was well negotiated and managed. She was great at helping deal with the phasing in process and sizing up side effect challenges which went away after some acclimation. It’s been life changing to me. I really enjoyed working with her. It’s my opinion she’s good at what she does. She keeps more than one location for appointments which has been helpful to me making her more accessible logistically. She was a great find. I hope you can have a similar experience.

Unprofessional and rude.

Dr. Tutuncu is the most caring Doctor I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. She is genuine and honest. She has shown on numerous occasions how deeply she cares about the well being of her patients.

I like Dr Tituncu very much. She is direct and at the same time a wonderful sense of humor. Knows what she’s talking about too.

I've received treatment from Dr. Tutuncu for about 6 months, for a chronic illness I've had for over 10 years. Since living in San Diego county, The last 5 years, I've not received helpful treatment presumably because my illness does not seem to fit neatly in any box. Dr Tutuncu started by listening and analyzing my history thoroughly. She ordered many tests and considered all possible diagnoses and treatment options. After seeing the lab results, she commented "it's complicated"...and proceeded to treat me! Guided by lab tests and clinical information she has been effectively treating me for several months. For the first time in years, I have my life back! I had not been able to work or enjoy life when I met Dr T. Now, I'm back to functioning like the 48 year old that I am. I am working successfully in my profession, enjoying leisure activities with my family and looking forward to so much more! When I told Dr T I was happy, she said she was even happier! I found Dr Tutuncu to be professional and very attentive to my concerns. She listened to me and gave me great advice as to how to take care of my pain. She didn't jump to give me an injection or quickly recommend surgery. Some tips on excercise, wearing a brace and perhaps top a few pounds as I know I need to. Liked her alot.

Very helpful at first, diagnosing me with the catch-all "fibromyalgia". After a 2 years of trying to find the right combo of drugs, she got frustrated and said she would "give up" on me if a new medicine didn't work. She added a diagnosis, had me try Humira, and after 4 mos. said she would rescind the diagnosis since I had not seen a 40% improvement. Humira doesn't work for everybody, and some need combos of treatments. Frustrating to be in so much pain all the time with no help from Dr.

Dr Zuhre Is rude arrogant and mean. I would never recommend anyone to here. She treats her patiently poorly I don't know why she is here in the USA scolding patients. Avoid she is not qualified to handle her work, sadly

Dr. T is AMAZING. For those who had a less favorable experience expressed in the other reviews, I feel.like they were probably impatient and when you're sick sometimes that happens and tension is high. BUT Dr. T helped me, ran all.the tests, looked for alternative causes to my issues. Before I met her, I already knew of a rare mast cell disease I have but most doctors shrugged at it and even the doctor who originally diagnosed me never explained to me nor gave any suggestions. I had it for 5yrs before meeting Dr. T. and I also did have a different rhuemotologist before for years. It was seemingly unrelated to.the joint pain I was having. Dr. Tutuncu took the time to research it, referred me.to other appropriate specialists and lab work. She has potentially saved my life because I since then learned so much more about mast cell disorders and can now take preventive measures. It caused me ulcerative colitis, joint pains and other things. This week I started 2 new meds that I would have never otherwise known about, Im now wearing a medical alert bracelet etc.. SHE CARES AND IS PASSIONATE ABOUT HER WORK AND HER PATIENTS. She may sometimes come.off strong but that's a good thing! , She knows what she's doing. Be patient and let her tackle your issues. Additionally, she has a great relationship with several other doctors, all.of which are surprisingly just as wonderful and dedicated to you as she is. What a relief!! Dr. T is AMAZING, she ran all.the tests, looked for alternative causes to my issues. She cared about me and truly went above and beyond most doctors. Because of her, Im now getting treatment for a rare disease, she potentially has saved my life. Other doctors gave me the run around and just shrugged me.off. Dr..Tutuncu researched and took interest. TRUST HER, BE PATIENT, SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING. She is passionate and cares. I'm so happy that I didnt give up on her or my health. Thanks Dr. T

Dr Tutuncu was incredibly unprofessional in multiple visits. She is rude, abrupt, and condescending. In addition she rarely let my wife or I finish a thought without interrupting. We waited the first visit almost 45 minutes without seeing the physician, and then had 15 minutes to hurriedly run through symptoms and an "assessment" due to the clinic closing. Dr. T. has been treating me for Rheumatoid Arthritis for several years and she's the ONLY rheumatologist who has gotten me into remission and LISTENS and VALIDATES .
