I’ve referred countless patients to Dr. Zaharakis and she has been instrumental in helping them with their neurological issues. It’s rare to find such a capable and caring doctor, one that returns my calls and partners w me to address patients’ needs. She’s very down to earth and approachable and patients connect well with her.

Misdiagnosed me and did not provide adequate follow up care.

This DR does not care about patients and only cares about money. I would high recommend AGAINST using this Dr / Office. No bedside manner, no respect for patients. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This Dr would not return calls after serious brain testing and had their front office read a 1 sentence note from the DR "you need to pay for another appointment to get more information". Do not no not use Dr Zaharakis

***DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR.*** She squeezes patients for money and creates the fake need for PAID follow up appointments to review scans and medical procedures that she has already ordered for patients. She withholds vital, significant information from patients. My family has been to dozens of specialists in NYC and this is the worst doctor, business, practice, and experience I have ever seen. It is an absolute shame.

DO NOT GO TO DR ZAHARAKIS! Total scam. Zero Stars She does not care about her patients, she does not provide follow up care, and she will try to make you pay extra for a follow up appointment just to discuss the testing that she already did. This office has no sense of urgency and does not consider the emotional stresses of neuro testing on the patient. Highly recommend against using this practice. They will hold your information hostage until you pay for follow ups. They said they would call on a Monday and then never called back with results.

She is a very friendly Doctor and if you're a hypochondriac like me, she puts your mind at ease. If she doesn't know something, she will refer you to a specialist. I highly recommend her

I had a serious and deteriorating medical injury/disease and Dr. Zaharakis did not provide adequate care. She misdiagnosed me and completely invalidated my experience.

She is the best neurologist I’ve even been to. I started going or her about 15 years ago. She is the most caring doctor and has helped me with my chronic migraines.

I had brought my friend in for a senior profile as he was not acting himself. As it turned out he needed nursing care and Dr Zaharakis referred him to a special neurologist who told me after about 20 minutes that my friend would die unless he obtained nursing care as he was unable to use reasonable judgment.

Saw doctor twice. Seemed professional in the office, but NO follow up at all. Receptionist and doc never stated that I was to go get blood tests done or where - NOT WORD ONE about that. I phoned asking results of office exam and was at that point then told about the lab I was to go to. Got blood tests done, and NO call on results from doc. Again phoned office and a receptionist informed me all OK. No call from doc. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Never going back.

The doctor seemed caring during visit but there was zero follow-up after MRI was complete. While this may indicate there was no issue there should always be a call to confirm and respond to any questions etc. Very disappointed.

The worst i ever experienced. Made an appointment through the refering fhysician. Reconfirmed it over the phone with the office. I think she is a great doctor. She takes her time to listen to me and I feel like she genuinely care for her patients. I’ve been under her care for about two years and she has been successful at treating my migraines. No more pain equals a happy patient.

Wonderful person and great doctor. I have been seeing her for 3 years. She has been helping me with my severe chronic migraines. Doctors Zaharakis is like a friend to me. She gives me lots of her time to listen to all my complaints. She takes every one of them seriously. She always answers my emails and even calls me home. I just love her and HIGHLY recommended her. Very caring and knowledgeable doctor.

Dr. Zaharakis is an amazing Neurologist and caring human being. I first went to see her after being mis diagnosed. She literally saved me from being paralyzed. There are no words... If you are looking for a neurologist, please se Dr. Zaharakis. It will be the best decision you could make for yourself.

Lost my information. Total breach of trust. Terrible. These people don't care. $600 for nothing! Total waste of time and energy.

Excellent Service

Dr. Zaharakis is an amazing doctor. On my visit she made me feel so comfortable as though I've being a patient of hers for years. And her staff is amazing. I truly can't say enough about this group. They're wonderful and amazing people who truly know what personal healthcare is all about.

Not many doctors these day are still courteous and take out the time to sit patiently and discuss everything. Most come and go like the wind acting higher then God. No Dr. Zaharakis. The first time I went into her office I wasn't sure what to expect, and she was busy with her patients running around that I assumed I'll probably get the usual 3 min talk and be rushed out of the office while she bills my insurance hundreds of $$$. So not the case. She came in and apologies for being 5-10 min later then the scheduled time due to the previous patient. She smiled and got to know what my worries and symptoms were. She's very detailed in her procedure and takes no risk in just assuming. I've met some Dr. who refuse to hear what you have to say or show cause they've made up their mind what it is and what the patient wants to share is irrelevant. She's can be a friend while attending to her professional duties as a doctor for those 10-20 min at the office but it makes you feel you can talk to her about any issue and she listens to all of them with patience and the to help you find the cure or reason for your trouble. Had a total EMG yesterday. It is supposed to be a very unpleasant experience. I have had flu shots that were worse. If she had said I had to have this procedure done every day for the rest of my life, to get rid of my joint, tendon, and muscle pain, I would have been happy it was going to be that easy. Maybe she is just brilliant?

I had her getting my EMG done for complicated fracture/shoulder injury with NCV performed for humeral fracture. It was a painful procedure but she was quick and proficient which really helped. From what I can tell most of the time Neurologist have their hand tied and cannot provide operative care but she wouldn't take no for an answer. She ordered multiple test/MRIs in addition to original scans to find out what is causing my disability; and refers to specialist to care for continued care.

I really liked Dr. Zaharakis during my appointment and consultation. She recommended that I get a MRI based on my symptoms. I had the MRI over a month ago and have never heard from her on my results. I've left messages for her with her assistant Liz, and asked for my results to be mailed to me. When I read the results, I found something that was questionable and concerning, yet I can't get a hold of the dr to discuss with her. Her lack of courtesy or professionalism is very upsetting.

Doctor saw me pretty much within 10 minutes of appointment times. Always super professional and a huge help with completing paperwork needed for insurance carriers.
