Doctor Hines and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend her practice to anyone.

If I could give a zero star rating, this would be it. Absolutely horrible experience at this office. Waited 45 minutes to be called into the room. Dr. Hines - absolutely rude, forward and downright mean. Even the assistant had a horrible attitude. Went to have a body scan and couple of spots treated; there was no scan or treatment, the visit was only a "consultation." Total waste of my $50 copay. Made another appointment for treatment and immediately canceled it the next day. Even when I called to cancel the appointment, there was no question as to why I was canceling...the receptionist just said "ok, will cancel it out." Couldn't even waste my breath to tell her how horrible that office is. The only reason I give this a 1 rating is because the girl at the front desk when I walked in for the appointment was very nice. All I can say is, if you are looking for a doctor who blames you for the reason you’re seeking her medical help, then you found the right Doctor! UNPRECEDENTED RUDENESS from an MD. It almost seemed like it would physically hurt Dr. Hines to exhibit decent bedside manner. All we can do is pray for this woman.

Have been seeing results and Dr. Hines educated me about my type of hair loss. I am glad I finally got her second opinion and helped me understand what's happening.

Dr Hines and her associates have, by far, THE WORST BEDSIDE MANNER I have ever whitenessed! From the elderly blonde assistant to Dr Hines herself these people are RUDE, CONDESCENDING, and overall HORRIBLE!! Dr. Hines is the definition of someone with a chip on her shoulder. The assistant looked at my three young children after I said Yes to drinking alcohol and then at me and said 'I WOULD TOO IF I WERE YOU' and then looked at me and said 'I HATE TO ASK YOU THIS BUT ARE YOU PREGNANT' to which I replied No and she said 'KILL ME RIGHT?' Are you serious?!?! The office is old as dirt, and should have stayed closed after it flooded. PLEASE, for the love of God, stay far away from this horrible establishment! MEAN PEOPLE SUCK!

Went in today first time since 2019 I was pleasantly surprised, Dr Hines was very personable and polite. Took the time to answer questions.

Dr Hines is very thorough, caring and thoughtful. She takes her time to do a head to toe exam, talk to you and answer any questions you may have. I have been going to her for years and have never had a problem!!! She definitely knows what to look for and I trust my skin in her hands. Kim

My experience with Hines Dermatology was great! I have been to other dermatologist and they never diagnosed my problem and it didn't get better. Then I went to see Dr. Hines and she diagnosed my problem after 1 visit and followed up with the correct course of treatment.

I was instructed to call before I walked into the building, I was given a covid screening over the phone by a very friendly staff member. I had a minimum wait to see Dr Hines, and she answered all my questions in a professional manner, and suggested further diagnostic testing, which was welcomed by me

Dr Hines is very stern and straight to the point but she is a very great doctor! Shes also very informative if you have questions. She takes the time to explain it to you

Passionate doctor who has decades of experience. One of few privately operated practices in her field. I've been a patient of Dr. Hines for several years and trust is a blessing! I recommend her for all things skin related and a reassuring great smile!

Dr. Hines is literally THE WORST. She is beyond rude, she is abusive. She yelled at me and told me my skin issues were my fault. She made all these rude hand gestures signaling that I was crazy and had emotional issues that weren’t her problem. I was trying to understand how acne would be causing the weird sensations I had around my eyes and in my scalp and why the antihistamines she kept yelling at me about weren’t making me 1 tiny bit less itchy ALL OVER MY BODY, and why after months of taking a powerful antibiotic my “acne” had only gotten significantly worse. She told me she doesn’t treat feelings…. As if I was asking her for a therapy session. I told her I was talking about a physical sensation not emotional feelings. She told me if I wasn’t going to be compliant she can’t help me. She said I needed to get “whatever you have going on under control”. I left her office crying every single time until finally I decided I’ll just go to the emergency room, I don’t deserve this. She never did any tests or skin scrapings. She barely looked at my skin. Like- literally 2 seconds. Turns out it wasn’t acne AT ALL (like I had been trying to tell her). And if it went untreated much longer I could have gone blind. Thanks for wasting 3 months of my life and almost costing me my eye sight you lunatic. I previously went here for several years for plaque psoriasis. Highly advise against going to Dr. Hines unless it’s a last resort. They don’t see you as a human or patient here, only as a fiscal method to charge both you and your insurance. Dr. Hines required that I schedule appointments once a month or even every two weeks, despite it not being necessary for my condition or its severity. I’d go for my appointment, wait for upwards of 1-2 hours to be seen, only to be examined for 2 minutes and be told to “keep doing what you’re doing.” I tried to advocate for myself on numerous occasions, but to no avail. Complete waste of time and money, they only see you as a moneybag. Also, no matter what time of day your appointment is or how many people are in front of you, you will be waiting an hour or more to be seen, whether it’s in the waiting room or the examination room. It literally doesn’t make sense. Dr. Hines prescribed so many medications to me that both my old PCP and I lost track of them. She wouldn’t update my medical records, so prior to my transfer to a new doctor, I had to sit with my PCP during my last physical with them to sort through all the medications I was still taking and which ones I wasn’t. Some prescription renewal dates were from 2-3 years ago! Seek the services of another dermatologist! I previously went here for several years for plaque psoriasis. Dr Hines is incredibly rude and condescending. Just like other reviews here have pointed out, she seems to enjoy belittling people. When i left from my first and only appt with her i honestly felt like i was in the twilight zone. Funny enough, when i called my primary care recently to request that they refill the prescriptions she'd given me so i wouldn't have to deal with her again, they asked where i had gone and when i replied their response indicated that they were quite aware of how unprofessional and rude she is. They even went as far as to recommend other dermatologists for me! It seems that her reputation proceeds her which is quite unfortunate.

Yvonne Hines had the bedside manner of a venomous snake. I left my appointment with her wondering if she was battling a mental illness or was simply someone who absolutely hated her job .

Dr Hines is trying very hard to rid the redness in my face. The regiment I am on has worked for most of it. I have a few stubborn spots but she hasn’t given up on me.

I went in to see Doctor Hines after months of trying to clear up the acne on my face on my own for months. Dr. Hines did an exam and gave me a clear treatment plan and today my skin is beautiful. Thank you Dr. Hines!

This was the worst experience that I have ever had with a medical professional! Should be zero stars! I drove over 4 hours because I had searched for a dermatologist who was familiar with rare skin conditions and this website states that Dr. Hines is. When I scheduled my appointment, I said I would be paying out of pocket since my insurance is in Maine, and asked twice if Dr. Hines is familiar with Morgellons Disease, as the article on her website said she was. Dr. Hines was rude and condescending to me and my husband. She snapped “not me, not me” when I discussed symptoms that were not on my skin, such as fatigue and brain fog. When I showed her photos of the skin issues I’ve been, she said “ impetigo, acne that you picked”! When I asked her if she was familiar with Morgellons disease she said no. I told her it’s in her website and her receptionist confirmed that she knew about it when I called. Dr. Hines replied “She doesn’t know anything!” I left in the middle of the appointment.

Dr.Hines was SO rude to me. She kept cutting me off and giving me the nastiest attitude. I could seriously go on and on. I was so close to just getting up and walking out. I was so angry leaving I was shaking. Never going back again.

Wish there were zero stars. Dr. Hines is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. She is extremely condescending in her manner of speech, and her bedside manner is shameful. She repetitively cut me off while I was speaking and said, "Doesn't matter. For a very minor issue (as described to me by Dr. Hines) I was pushed to setting up multiple follow up visits that aren't necessary. I guess they'd be good in a pinch, but I'd look elsewhere.
