Dr. Yvonne Curran

I am a long time patient of Dr. Currans. Dr. Curran has always been caring, conscientous, and thoughtful about our approach to my problems, and I highly recommend her as a Neurologist.

Since YC is a PTSD trigger, I'll just keep writing here since the damage is done I spent a lot of time ---years--- seeing if she would respond to anything but chose to GHOST her patient & not respond to building suicide after she sent me to a psych program that was a pill mill. Part of NWMH & why this hospital is 100% part of my PTSD recovery as I model the process live. ADVICE : don't lie to patients. Respond faster than 4 months. Don't say you've ben abroad for that long. If you want to change your mind about testifying in federal court, you should state that instead of pretending our conversations about the abuse of kids with special needs didn't happen since those WERE the TRIGGERS (screaming, crying, self-harming kids that learned they can harm others because there's no consequence because no one is submitting incident reports) & since those are the recorded triggers, I'd strongly advice to never leave blank medical records. I'm an expert in trauma NOW because of YC. Thanks!

I wrote a ton of reviews while triggering when I sent this doctor messages (privately) about her contribution to failing health in the form of reporting SUICIDE from another doctor BASED ON SPECIFIC ACTIONS & then I watched a "team" really hustle to pass blame on the patient. Since I already experienced a system passing blame on the student population that wasn't being properly treated, this prior knowledge made me very aware & thus very vocal. Also, since I have friends in the healthcare field, we've discussed the insane greed & motivations for doctors too well...refer... This doctor heard "good things" about the referral she gave me & since the reviews for that doctor (Feng) have been taken down off this site, I guess that's the example of SUPPRESSION OF TRUTH & a trigger because lying to the person who writes the students with special needs IEPs is the wrong thing to do. I work with data/evidence only & I don't take answers like "I just think that way."

Absolutely worst person & faces "stress" by completely shutting down & working against you in every way that blames the patient. Does not explain medication nor answer bail questions & if she asks a nurse to sit in with you, it's for her protection. Get ready for repeated acts that reveal the worst in physicians : who take advantage of the patient. Absolutely refuse to accept this specialist for 3 years of harm. Refused her care (and b.s.) & BETTER.

This doctor refuses to explain any of her thinking when it comes to Rx yet is fully capable stating "what more do you want" when I asked her to explain why two appointments have no notes & tried to confirm if inaccurate record-keeping led her to make MEDICATION DECISIONS since all my health issues have been from over-prescribing & this is after multiple assaults where I had to relearn to walk so I'm okay with Rx. I also expressed need to "get off" & this doctor can't do anything but make excuses

Speechless. Do not go here. They will bill you & never consider their "mistakes" that are obvious because it's done on purpose. After 2 assaults that included punched, hit, stabbed over & over to my face & body, this doctor can't understand that patents really don't like to be lied to & treated like a stupid person so if you're HAPPY & HEALTHY, see her. If in pain, she will do nothing for you but BLAME YOU when you don't want to take narcotics for 2 years+. I said no & I feel AMAZING

I am so appalled by the treatment that was TOP-NOTCH until I asked "why are my records on medication so inaccurate" & then it's like I never existed. They can't take mistakes than stop making such egregious ones. To avoid answering any questions about "thinking" this doctor is happy to LET PATIENT to end care after sharing "extreme concern" but explain why? The concern for PATIENT IS NONE EXISTENT. "Care" is about hiding the truth. 100% regret.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Curran for many years. I appreciate that she’s honest and direct, and at the same time, personable and good-humored. I don’t have the need to see her often but look forward to seeing her for my routine visits. I highly recommend Dr Curran. She’s just kind of great!

Prescribed medication that wasn't helping symptoms I went to see her for (headaches) and had the nurse keep me on it and increased dosage after the first week. Upon stopping the medication I had severe anxiety and short term memory loss. Dr. Curran said those symptoms would only happen to people that have been on the medication much longer than me. However, another doctor at Northwestern pain clinic said the symptoms are likely to happen from medication withdrawal
