I have been a patient of Dr. Davies for about a decade now and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made! She is truly amazing and helped me through my different phases of IBS treatment. She is always able to answer any questions I have regarding my care. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family!

****BEWARE****** DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS DOCTOR!!!! My 9 year old daughter had an endescope and colonoscopy performed by Dr.Davies. Dr. Davies told us she tested positive for h plyori infection. Put my daughter on an intense 30 day triple therapy treatment. After she continued to be very sick we went for a second opinion at UC Davis GI. We were told that our child never had h plyori based on test results they received from her office. UC Davis repeated the same tests and found zero signs of h plyori. On top of the wrong treatment and diagnosis the doctor and the staff are EXTREMELY RUDE!!! Dr. Davies was paged twice after we called bc our child was getting worse. Both times she screamed at me and hung up on me. On top of it all bc of her vacation important test results were withheld for 2 weeks. This is absolutely unacceptable to a family with a suffering child. When asked, the office sent partial test results to the doctor actually trying to help my child. This doctor should not treat children. She is insensitive and heartless!!! Infact, should not be allowed to practice. Absolute shame on her,and everyone that works in her office.

Dr. Davies - the BEST GI doctor and NICEST person! Has treated our special needs son for 15-years and provided exceptional care. Highly recommend and FIVE STARS from our family!

My family is infinitely grateful for Dr Davies. Dr Davies provides our daughter with attentive, informed and dedicated care for her Crohns Disease and more. She has found medical problems in our daughter that wouldn't have been found without her extensive research and advocacy. Dr. Davies is one of the best doctors I ever had, wouldn’t change her for anyone. These past few years I been very sick and no other doctor would correctly help me just give me medicines I didn’t need. Dr. Davies not only helped with my physical health she also helped me mentally I was very depressed and she brought me out. She has a very good heart, she treats me like her daughter and I love that, she’s not like any other doctors who would just throw medicines at you without taking a look. We were sent to Dr Davies office in 2017 when my son was 12 y/o. He was less than 70 lbs and in a lot of pain. Dr Davies was fairly sure what was in store but scheduled test right away to confirm. She very much knew how terrified I was watching my son be so sick. While I very much wanted him well, I was terrified of the medications necessary to get him there. He started on meds and also on SCD right away. Before having any procedures or meds, he started to feel better and gain weight on SCD alone. We moved forward with Infusions and strict SCD. We did this for a year then realized he would need surgery for a stricture. She called on a Doctor friend that she said she would "send her own child too." Literally called his cell while we were in the office to ask him to perform this surgery on "one of her kids." I truly believe this is how she feels about her patients. Yes, office hours and contacting via phone is challenging, but she is very busy because she's excellent at what she does. My son is now off to college and is doing well on SCD alone. Out of the 47 years of my life I can honestly say it’s been a rarity to find such a dedicated, passionate, intelligent and personable physician such as DR. DAVIES.  My son was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of 12, which made my heart drop and caused an immeasurable amount of concern and anxiety. I remember the first GI we met with indicated my child may have to be placed on a feeding tube; you can imagine my devastation. Luckily, this was not the case and the doctor retired and referred us to Dr. Davies. What a night and day difference!!!  She made us feel like family and treated my son as her own. She was able to find the right medication for him and monitored him closely.  We would travel an hour to see her but would have traveled 24hours if necessary. Dr. Davies treated him with the utmost respect and sincerity, he was not another number, another patient, another billing claim; he was her patient and she cared for his health and well being with all her heart. Dr. Davies was there during emergencies by phone, email, and text. She was available after hours when he had to be hospitalized reducing the time he spent sitting in pain at the ER. She has treated him for over 10 years, so even as an adult she made it her mission to treat him and continue his treatment. We recently moved to Texas and ran out of his Rx, who saved the day? Dr. Davies did.  She called us personally to tell us my son will be missed and will take of the Rx  The feeling is mutual because if it wasn’t for her dedication to ensuring my sons health he wouldn’t be the confident man he is today.  She has a special place in our hearts and we will never forget her!!! Dr. Yinka Davies isn’t just professional, sweet & kind but she goes above & beyond for patient care. For myself I’ve been a patient for 1 1/2 yrs w/her & right away she knew what was going on & started a treatment plan. She’s very consistent on returning calls ;which she will always call you in regards to your issues & questions you may have ( most Drs don’t do this & have their Medical assistants call patients back ) Dr.Davies truly cares for her patients of all age groups & strives to help them in anyway she possibly can. Iv’e never meet another physician like her She is definitely my top #1 specialist physician I have ever come across an this goes from being her patient & working in the healthcare with multiple physicians. Her staff is very professional, knowledgeable,kind & do everything they can to help patients needs. Wait times can be long but it’s worth the wait. She’s truly the best!

I recently took my daughter in she is 2y, total time spent there was ridiculous. I was there for 3hrs you can imagine a 2yr old and how that can go, by the time we were roomed she was over it, we waited in the room about 40 mins to be seen, my daughter was screaming and crying she wanted out of the room, the MD heard her and came in it was a quick 15 min app super fast and during the 15 min, there was instructions given to me incorrectly. Dr. Davies is great BUT the office staff is horrible, they never answer the phone, they never call you back, the flaked on my last two phone appointments. Just terrible service. I’ll be looking for a new doctor for my child. Unbelievable.

We have been seeing Dr. Davies since 2018 and honestly trying to reach her office is nearly impossible and always has been. The recordings always say they are closed. Recently trying to get my son the medication needed the Dr. started arguing with me about how many times I have called trying to resolve this and told me I was wrong. As you can see so many other families having the same issues about trying to reach her and that it is nearly impossible unless you finally leave a message for the dr. to be paged. I have decided I will pay for the medication myself and find another dr. My sons health deserves much better than this. Dr. Davies got me in ASAP to be seen and start treatment when no one else could get me an appointment; and I could not be happier with the outcome and how much she has helped me recover. Dr.Davies truly cares about your health and well being. The bad reviews about the office does NOT reflect upon Dr. Davies capability of a MD. She is a great doctor, and will make sure you are taken care of. Seriously can not thank her enough for all that she has done for me. I would give Dr. Davies 5 stars for her care. I took one star off because getting ahold of the office and other administrative issues have been challenging. That being said, the office is hiring more people and I am confident that those issues will be ironed out. Dr. Davies has been a life saver for our family. One of our teens has a very rare syndrome called Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome (MALS). For 2.5 years other GIs dismissed this diagnosis as it is extremely rare. We were lucky enough to find Dr. Davies who has some experience with this syndrome. She was able to do a number of tests to rule out other issues before referring us to a surgeon to be evaluated for MALS. The surgery has changed my child's life. We are now continuing follow up with her because it can take over a year to recover from this. She is interested in learning more about this syndrome and is being pro-active in helping us navigate the recovery. I would give Dr. Davies 5 stars for her care. I completely agree with the review. It’s very frustrating!!! When you try calling during their “working” hours we are kept on hold for a long time and if you leave a message you don’t get a call back! Sometimes their voice messages states that they’re closed when in fact and according to their phone hours recording it clearly states that they should be open. Also you are not able to leave any messages after their phone hours. That office is a disaster!!!! When you first come as a first time patient to talk to the doctor, you leave with more questions and definitely a large bill. She diagnosed my child but did not go into details of what to expect with Crohn’s disease. She needs to understand that she is talking about our children! I am BEYOND frustrated with this office. BEYOND! Every time I call I get a recording that states the "office is currently closed" EVEN when it IS business hours and between the 9am-4pm window that they accept calls. I have to get ANy and all results from the Dr herself which can take DAYYYS. When I do talk to her and requests for x-rays should be sent over, IT DOESNT HAPPEN. I'm trying to do all the right things for my 7-yr old son in a timely manner and I'm waiting on this office to do their part! Dr. Yinka is amazing personality. She listened to me for my son patiently and asked several questions before giving him any prescription. She followed his growth and appetite progress by phone and ordered an x ray for his spine that means that she really cares about her patients. Thank you doctor ????

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Davies. My daughter was loosing her quality of life due to pain and an infection we could not figure out from several doctors until my daughter was scene by Dr. Davies. I feel she puts her heart and soul into her work and it shows. As a parent to go through seeing your child in pain and having so many emotions herself and staff was so supportive. Now my daughter is able to get out of bed and 75% have a normal day. It is taking time to heal but Dr. Davies took the time to find the answer and Myself and my family could not thank you her enough. Dr. Davies was amazing and put us at ease and solved a problems that our pediatrician did nothing about in fact our pediatrician made us feel like we we're crazy. Immediately we felt heard and started a process that got us answers and a happy boy! Highly recommend her! She was our angel!

THE BEST! Definitely an exceptional GI doctor! Dr. Davies has provided amazing care for our son who has complex medical needs and challenges (aspiration, feeding tube/feeding issues, quadriplegia, epilepsy, suppressed immunity, partial brain, just to mention a few…). I cannot say enough kind things about Dr. Davies because she has done so much throughout the years to improve our son’s quality of life and in many ways has given him a life. She has a brilliant mind, a kind heart and stays on top of the latest in medical information, technology and trends. Five stars from our family!

The office has very limited phone hours and I have waited for long periods of time on hold, only to be dropped without getting to a person. I now have to write letters, as there is no message available. No person in the office has contacted me. My son is no better off then when we first saw her.

Insensitive Cold-Hearted Doctor I have an infant who has been experiencing stomach problem. We have tried every kind of over the counter medication, but nothing seems to work. Those medications just give my child a very temporary relief. We were recommended to see a specialist. We were referred by pediatric office to see Dr. Yinka Davies. We had to wait for few weeks for an appointment. On the appointment day we were very excited to see Dr. Yinka and see what her recommendation and prescription will be to bring some ease to our child. We were in the visiting room only for a couple of minutes. Dr. Yinka did not even examine my child. She did not even allow us to explain what the problems are. She said what do you want from me. What do you want me to do? After exchanging few words, she grabbed her note pad and left the visiting room (about couple of minutes after she came into the room). I was shocked seeing her leaving the visiting room. We took time off from work to bring our child for her to be examined. I couldn’t believe that she simply left the exam room without doing anything. I found her very unstable and prejudice. I believe her prejudicially did not allow her to examine my crying child. In my entire life I have never ever seen or have heard that a doctor, even the worse one, turn head to a crying child. Being prejudice to adults (which I do not approve) is one thing, but not to an infant. It seems she is living in dark ages. Doctors have a duty to provide care to the patient regardless of who they are. Some of these doctors should mentally be examined and if they are not mentally stable their license should be revoked. As a parent I wanted to share my horrible experience with her and warn you that you may get the same treatment as I have got. Children are innocent and deserve kindness and care. Do your research and find a doctor who is kind-hearted that you don’t have to deal with a cold hearted, prejudice arrogant person. My son has been sickly since he was a baby. Every 6 weeks, like clockwork, he would get a fever, headaches, nausea and stomach pain. Dr. Davies diagnosed him with Crohns when he was 11. With consistent treatment, my son is living a very normal teenage life (now 15). She truly has my son's health at heart. She doesn't sugar coat things with him and treats him with so much love and respect. She will tell you bluntly how things are, and how things can be- if u follow the plan vs if you dont. I have come to understand that Dr Davies sees hundreds of patients from all over NorCal. You will benefit most from her if you trust her process - SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING. She will treat your child like her own. It is a parent's natural reaction to protect our kids from "harm"- but there is such thing as harsh realities. Dr. Davies will lay it all out there. We adore Dr. Davies! She has a wonderful bedside manner and always makes herself available when we have an emergency. She is very thorough and has monitored our son very closely since he became her patient a couple years ago. After many years of suffering digestive issues, Dr. Davies was the only doctor that found his colitis and treated it immediately. She's extremely smart and compassionate. She also has a fantastic staff! We have been very pleased with her care and highly recommend her. We adore Dr. Davies! Both of my children have been patients of Dr. Davies. For both, after years of experiencing unresolved treatment for health conditions by other Doctors and specialists, they both received the absolute best care and complete healing under the care of Dr. Davies. She delivers an exceptional level of care. She is not only extremely knowledgeable as a Gastroenterologist, but warm and compassionate. She will continue to be recommended by our family. Dr. Davies, we are beyond grateful you are our children's doctor. Thank you!

Dr. Davies I believed help save my son’s life. Going through many doctors and hospitals to have them mistreat my son, Dr. Davies believed me and my son that something was wrong with his health. She pushed a MRI I was trying to get and on September 30th 2016 my son was diagnosed with a brain tumor, medullablatoma, brain cancer. Without her believing my son he wouldn’t be here. Without her care for my son health and love for her job taking care of children my son’s health I believe would of been worse. Without out the care of her loving staff I would of had the hard time I was receiving from every other doctors staff. Now it is 2019 my son is in remission and working hard on recovering his mobility, and when I called her office to give a up date the joy in the Receptionist voice to relate the message was great to hear. Not expecting Dr. Davies to call back she called and the joy in her voice was blessing. Amazing women I am now honored to have been part of my son’s long medical history. We cannot get ahold of her or anyone I her office. we waiting weeks in between call backs from her office. She told us my daughter needed surgery but noone will answer obone during work hours and no call back for over a week.

Dr Davies is amazing! We are so grateful to have found her - she saved our son. We had been told so many different things from different doctors and our son wasn't getting better - he was getting worse. Dr. Davies told us what needed to be done in order for our son to get better, she did it and now with the right medicine AND the right doctor our son is in remission and recovering. We thank God for Yinka everyday.

Slow doctor need to speed things up I shouldn't have to wait an hour past my daughter's appointment time for her to get seen even when I have places to go & other appointments I shouldn't be late for

I wish I could say she is helpful, but she hasn't been. I can't help but feel that she is out of touch with her patients, and fixed on her own preconceived notions before she even sets foot in the office. Feels like we're just a money machine now. Our 4-year-old has encopresis - at least, that's what we *think* it might be, as Dr. Davies has not been capable of discovering what his diagnosis is. She performed a colonoscopy on him - and that went as well as can be expected, but she never followed up afterwards and gave us no post-op instruction. I was bewildered and kept wondering, "Is that it? Is he going to normalize now?" Well, he didn't go back to normal, so we've restarted the process of trying to figure out what's wrong. It's been about 4 visits with her just poking his belly and saying " Oh, he's full again" or "Oh, he seems good this time; follow up in two weeks." No plan. No lab work. No examination. No discussion. I try to ask questions, but she rushes through the visit so quickly - each visit has her in the room for less than 10 minutes - that I'm at my wits' ends now. I'm no doctor, and I'd like to know what her plan is - beyond poking him in the belly and guessing his status - but she is so focused on going to the next appointment, and most of my questions seems to hit a wall. Regrettably, we can't find another pediatric GI specialist in the area, so we might have to travel long distance to find someone willing to work with us. I wish I could say she is helpful, but she hasn't been. I love this woman.... She is an incredible Doctor and friend. She listened to every concern I had about my sons situation and did everything she could to help us. She even got us in right away for his procedure and followed up with us regularly to make sure my baby is ok. I would definitely recommend her to any child that needs to seen for intestinal issues.. Hands down the best pediatric specialist

Dr Davies and her staff are amazing! She is fast, efficient, and we felt like our son was in the best possible care. I wouldn't have wanted him to see anyone else.

I am 100% positive that Dr Davies saved my son's life. She took the time to run tests no other specialist had. He is now on a treatment plan that both he and I can see a very bright future for him. Her caring and proffessionalism is evident at every appointment and we have had a lot of appointments. The staff is so kind and friendly. They never make you feel like you're "that mom" who calls too much, which I probably am. Thank you Dr Davies for saving Jack's life and to your kind staff. I'd like to recommend Dr. Yinka K. Davies, MD because she is the only doctor that has solved my problem. Dr. Davies is a very serious and thoughtful pediatric GI specialist! I was having a problem with my digestive system for over two years. When I turned to Dr. Davies with a stomach ache, she handled my problem with a lot of care and patience. Today, I'm feeling great and I can eat almost anything, I don't have any pain in my stomach! I'm very grateful to Dr. Yinka K. Davies!

It is heartbreaking for any parent to have to watch their child go through the numerous tests and treatments that our son has experienced over the last few months. However, we feel so fortunate to have Dr. Davies as a doctor. I think our son?s words sum up Dr. Davies better than I can. Prior to undergoing his colonoscopy and endoscopy, I was talking to my son about who would be with him during the procedure. He turned to me and said, ?I?ll be okay mom. Dr. Davies loves me like a second mom.

Two trips to the doctor with no results... ONE trip to Dr. Davies and we had a diagnosis and a treatment plan. Just walking through the door, I knew my child was in the best possible hands. Amazing experience! Too bad she fixed us on the first visit- we would be repeat customers if necessary!

Dr Davies sees 4 of our children and has saved 2 of their lives. Hands down the best Dr I have ever met. She is caring loving not only to the kids but the parents. She will see you anytime of the day or night. God blessed me when I met her. Thank you for all you do.

Dr. Davies is an amazing doctor. She has been treating my son for a year and a half and he has improved immensely. She is very knowledgeable and truly cares about her patients. I especially like that she prescribed aggressive medication to get my son out of crisis, then recommended diet only to keep his disease under control. I have friends and other family with GI issues and wish I could send them to Dr. Davies, but alas, she only works with kids. Dr. Davies is an amazing doctor. After years of trying to get help for my young daughter, we were finally referred to Dr. Davies. From day one she took my concerns seriously, listened carefully, and dug deeply into our case. She ordered all the necessary tests right away, was extremely communicative throughout the process and all the results, and kept looking where other doctors might have shrugged us off. In the end she diagnosed an extremely rare condition in one so little, called in the help of the "panel" and had multiple doctors and specialists think-tank on our case. We worked together to come up with a treatment plan that gave us the opportunity to heal her system up without having to put her on lifelong meds, and Dr. Davies has been with us every step of the journey. My little one is doing so much better, and we are still working to continue to build up her system. I have had only good experiences with the staff and Dr. Davies. I am so thankful that my son went to Dr.Davies She is such a caring Dr. She made my son's visit feel like he wasn't just a patient but a person and like one of her family members as if she was taking care of her own son. Dr.Davies always has a smile on her face every time we see her I can tell she loves her job and isn't in a hurry to get you out of the office like some doctors that just want a paycheck she really wants to make sure she takes care of any problems. Very supportive and always willing to help!

My son has been seeing Dr. Davies for the last year. I am sad to say we are moving to Kaiser at the New Year. She was the only Dr I could get to listen to me and actually do something to help my son. I would recommend her again and again...If your child has GI issues, go see Dr. Davies. She is caring, and compassionate, and I am sad we won't be going to her office any longer.

WORST GI EVER!! I honestly believe she is bipolar. Her staff is horrible especially, Gabby. Beware!!!

I only give it one star because giving it none is not an option. We have been waiting for an appointment with this "Doctor" for almost 2 months now...We have been getting the run around and refuse to give my son an appointment. Since the referral was cleared by our insurance, our son has had 12 ER visits and 4 hospital stays, the last one lasting 20 days. This office is a joke. BEST GI DOC EVER!!!! Dr. Davies truly cares about her patients and it shows with how she practices! She has a great bedside manner, positive demeanor and actually works with and listens to her patients. Dr. Davies' expertise and patience shows when she explains conditions or treatments, allowing patients and families to come up with a game plan they are also confident in.
