Dr. Willie Hamlin

Dr. Hamlin is excellent. This is my first time visiting a mental health professional and it has been a phenomenal experience. I lost my mother in August of last year (2020) and, for the first time in my life, I struggled with coping. My mother's death has become a defining moment in my life. I have changed how I live to include more health-conscious and family-oriented activities and I left my career position of over 10 years to hone-in on the best life has to offer. Weeks after my mother's passing, my wife said she thought I could benefit from a professional perspective. Although I had never envisioned myself sitting down with a healthcare professional, I decided to listen to my wife who knows me best. My initial session included my wife and, after that, I continued weekly by myself. It has been a really enlightening and cleansing experience that I will continue. Dr. Hamlin is a very good listener and he has a uniquely professional way of tying things up with his years of experience, both professionally and personally. He understands various facets of the medical profession, history, social trends, cultural norms and trends. He skillfully incorporates this knowledge into helping me work through short and long-term issues that I hadn't yet identified. My wife and I talk often about the benefits of our sessions with Dr. Hamlin. If you are struggling with a life event or life in general and you can't seem to work through it on your own or with family, I highly recommend seeing a mental healthcare professional.
