He is a wonderful and intelligent doctor. His diagnosis is super fast and no matter what I visited him for, the problem was resolved in no time. From acid reflux and knee injury to cold and ear infection. Some people say he does not listen, but I disagree! He is a fast listener and that is why he responds fast. He discusses all the treatment steps with you and educates you on your problem. Absolutely recommend him!!

I visited Dr. Vota when I was a sophomore at Texas A&M. I was extremely depressed, struggling with suicidal thoughts, crippling anxiety and the beginning of an eating disorder. Dr. Vota dismissed my claims and even suggested that I was drug seeking prescriptions. I’m 27 now and have brought up our interaction with multiple therapists and in treatment centers where I eventually got the help I needed and deserved. His accusations were dangerous and especially harmful for anyone having suicidal thoughts. It’s disappointing to see that he is still practicing at A&M. Do not see this doctor and do not give him the opportunity to speak to you the way he spoke to me.

He was aweful to be completely honest. As previously mentioned in the two comments below, he lectured me, rather than giving me advice. He kept saying he would not give me prescriptions I needed. I had to contact my previous doctor. He did not even bother asking questions, let alone appeasing me as I was nervous at that moment. He was not friendly AT ALL. He is the doctor you would want to avoid making an appointment with. Save your time and your energy.

As mentioned he is dismissive and lectures patients more than listens to them. He would ask a close-ended question and as soon as I answered he would lecture extensively instead of having a two-way conversation. He is very knowledgeable but I felt like more of a medical student he wanted to lecture to rather than a patient. I came in for help with sleeplessness and he was unwilling to prescribe me something to help.

Also the most dismissive healthcare provider I have ever seen. Went in for a visit about depression and the first thing he said, "what brings you here?" Depression. "Well why? What's wrong with you??" refused to listen to what was going on, I had to interject to remind him I was still there, he just went on telling me that he couldn't help me and I probably had something going on in my life that was making me stressed or sad and I had to remind him that depression is a chemical disorder. Rude.

most dismissive healthcare provider I've ever interacted with. Instead of providing options and giving explicit recommendations, he was didactic and had an air that he did not want to be there.
