William Siao-Ping Tung

My boyfriend had his right leg amputated a week ago, I'm also his POA. Dr. Tung has never met me face to face but on the telephone was very rude. Told me that it wouldn't be a tragedy if my boyfriend passed away but it would be a tragedy if a 5 yr. old passed away. Dr. Tung DID NOT prescribe any pain medication or send any wound care instructions for home health. Took over 24 hours for the nurse to get ahold of him. Then he proceeded to get smart with her on the phone. I don't recommend anyone dealing with this man. But I do finally get to meet him face to face April 6th. Also he had no problem meeting with people who have nothing to do with my boyfriend's healthcare and divulging private information. Dr. Tung also felt the need to try and push medical treatment that he has no experience in. It took me and the hospital to pretty much put a stop to it. Because if this procedure Dr. Tung wanted done, it would pretty much sign my boyfriend's death certificate. Can we say that it's sad that he believes he is above anyone else. If you have an option I do recommend seeking another vascular surgeon.

This was undoubtedly the most rudest Dr I have encountered EVER. The way he talked to my 87 year old Elderly Father and myself was extremely uncalled for. Highly encourage anyone considering him, find another Dr!

Dr tung and his staff are number one would recommend to anyone

My first visit , I felt congress not rushed and listened to I'll be having testing and a follow up not long after I know I'm in good hands

I was referred to Dr Tung several months ago and was really surprised at his diligence in helping me!! I’ll be honest and say I had the same doctor for many years who was both a family doctor and surgeon whom I adored!! Dr Tung has convinced me there are other doctors out there who care about their patients in every way!! He talks, listens, AND has a sense of humor!! Although he is very busy he never makes you feel like he is in a rush!! I count myself very lucky to have met him!! I was very impressed with Dr. Tung I have had problems with my legs for a while and it took him just a few moments to solve my problem. I am very grate I found Dr.Tung.

clear & concise w/ further testing scheduling to cover everything

I highly recommend Dr. Tung. He successfully cleaned out my right caroid artery several years ago. Great surgeon with wonderful follow-up.

Only one thing I’m unsettled about. After surgery I went into affib, I was not told anything about affib or the possibility of going into affib. I think the patient should be told that it’s a possibility of going into affib befor they are taken to surgery. I was released the day after surgery on a Saturday. By 4am Monday morning I was having chest pain. My daughter took me to the ER and that’s when I was told I had went into affib, and it was probably brought on by the surgery. I was in ICU for six days, to be sent home with several bottles of medication., and was told to see a heart doctor.

Dr. Tung took excellent care of my husband! He kept us informed and was always willing to answer any questions we had. Always pleasant and kind......would highly recommend Dr. Tung to anyone needing vascular surgery!

I was very impressed with Dr. Tung. He asked a lot of questions so he could determine what was wrong with me. He also ordered another test to see how my arteries are doing. I feel he is an excellent doctor with a great deal of knowledge. A very professional attitude and explained things so you could understand.

My dad had a stroke and his neurologist recommended him to Dr Tung for surgery. Dr Tung wanted approval from his cardiologist before he would schedule surgery. We obtained this approval two weeks ago. I have called three times and left messages for Dr Tung for over a week and no one will call us back. We have no option but to go go Carilion now and get this surgery my dad needs. Please do not go to this doctor.

Dr. Tung has performed three vascular surgeries on me in past three years. All sucessful and professionally performed with proper follow-ups and and a genuine concern for my welfare and continuing health.

I've been a patient of Dr. Tung for over a year. I feel comfortable discussing my issues with him. He always takes time to explain things to me. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a vascular surgeon. I am sure you will be pleased not only with his knowledge but also his professionalism and what is commonly referred to as his bedside manner.
