Alabama State License: 15177 NPI (National Provider Identifier) 1700804242 Initially I thought Dr Moore was going to be a good choice as my new GYN. I'd gone in for bladder prolapse. After having the surgery, June 4th, 2019, he'd told me that he'd performed bladder sling, anterior and posterior prolapse surgery. After a couple weeks I was having trouble with the perineum, which he'd cut through in order to get into the 'venue' more easily. I complained about pain several times and he told me that other patients say it takes about 4 to 6 months for things to 'settle down'. So I waited. Still having discomfort & not being able to sit comfortably, even showering, voiding, wiping, and drying off, and have sex without pain & tearing of the perineum after 8 months, I went back. The whole area was very tight, the skin was actually grey looking and thin. By then I was losing hair by the handfuls, I was anxious, and as frustrated as one could be, not knowing what the hell was happening. He refused to see the problem, stating that I was healing fine, and suggested he believed I'd contracted the disease, Lichen Sclerosus, an incurable disease. He comes back into the examination room and hands me this thick stapled paperwork explaining the disease he’s telling me I have contracted. He subjected me to a brutal biopsy procedure (3 places), which took me another 2 months to recover. He told me that he believed I had this disease, incurable, but treatable. When the biopsies came back, as I knew, they were negative, except for showing "chronic inflammation", which YES, because the perineum wasn't sewn back correctly, and as a result wiping, attempts at sex, just going to the bathroom, drying off after bathing, all pulled & otherwise irritated my perineum! He still wouldn't acknowledge it and in fact my official record on my portal specifically states that I have vulva Lichen Sclerosus, which I do NOT. I want to note that when I was in the exam room alone for a while, waiting for him to come in, there was some kind of unpleasantness taking place in the waiting area as I could hear 2 of the female staff talking about it, one saying they should call security, the other stating she already had. It was a husband who was furious with the doctor at whatever he’d done to his wife. So I KNOW I’m not the only one! My own husband was out of the country during this final couple of months, under Dr. Moore’s care, and I tried not to let him know how poorly things were going. The doctor finally shows back up, nothing was said and he prescribed steroid product to use for 8 weeks and- then go back again. This worried me even more and I began to think that he wouldn't acknowledge it because he'd taken too much tissue and couldn't fix it. This was February 2020 and I was DONE! Stressed and now angry, I asked my GP to refer me to a specialist for this. I finally go to Birmingham, and that doctor saw IMMEDIATELY what the problem was & also stated that she could see no reason why he would have done the biopsies as I show no signs of any disease. I was so happy when the Urologist specialist told me she could fix what he'd done, it was just such a relief. I had surgery June 8th 2020, one year after the initial surgery by Dr. Moore, June 4th, 2019. It takes the perineum a full 6-7 months to heal every time it's cut through, so when I went back January 2021, for my post surgery checkup, I still had tissue that needed to be removed and was happy to allow her to do so right in her office, coming out with 4 more stitches. So now I'm having to pay MORE MONEY, GO THROUGH MORE PAIN & RECOVERY, and who knows what my future holds so I'M NOT HAPPY! I’ve been healing for over 2 years now and things still are not perfect, but so VERY much better thanks to the Urology Centers Alabama and my lovely doctor who gave me back most of my quality of life! I have Dr. Dix. He is very thorough and explains nicely without talking down to you. The staff is also very friendly. They do ultrasounds in office as well

Dr.Moore office is very nice and the staff is top notch! I couldn't have asked for a better Obgyn. I will be going back in January as my last visit was in September of last year. During the pandemic they were very, very professional and nice.

Dr. Moore is the best OB/GYN you can ask for. I’ve been seen him for 10 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I followed him from Clanton Alabama all the way to Alexander City, I recently moved to Montgomery Alabama and still plan on going to see him. If you want the best OB/GYN Dr. Moore is the man to see ????
