Excellent!

He performs bloodless surgery with skills and loving kindness.

Dr. Kuhel performed a parathyroidectomy in early December 2022. Appreciated Dr. Kuhel's patient and thorough explanation of the procedure, especially how he would go about mitigating the risks inherent in the procedure. Excellent after care and outcome so far.

Excellent experience. Thoughtful, clear, extremely focused care. At every stage of the process, and especially on the day of surgery, I felt I was in the best of hands. Dr. Kuhel is exceptional. I could not have asked for a better procedure or a smoother recovery and I owe that to him and the professionals he chooses to work on his team. I will be forever grateful!

He is a wonderful doctor!

Dr. Kuhel puts his patients first.

Dr. Kuhel listens carefully, responds in thorough detail, and has a warm, humane manner. 5 stars easily.

Dr. Kuhel is always wonderful. He reminded me that it is about to be 10 years since he performed two separate surgeries to remove my thyroid. I would recommend him highly.

Dr. Kuhel is a superb surgeon and a warm, patient physician. He answered all our pre-surgery questions in great detail. What really impressed me was that two recovery room staff members (an RN and a Surgical Resident) separately praised Dr. Kuhel's work and said they would choose him above any other surgeon if one of their loved ones needed the kind of surgery he performs. My PCP has known Dr. Kuhel for 30+ years and described him as "a virtuoso." That was not an exaggeration.

One of the best doctors and human beings out there!!!! Truly cares for his patients!!!!! Highly recommend!!!

Comprehensive exam. Explained everything he was doing clearly. Most importantly, gave me a clear and thoughtful diagnosis. I felt he took a serious interest in providing me with his best professional judgment. And, a genuinely nice guy.

Dr. Kuhel is a brilliant doctor who is also very kind. He explains everything and never makes you feel nervous or anxious. He is an outstanding surgeon and I feel blessed to have him as my doctor.

Doctor Kuhel was excellent in explaining everything. He put me at ease immediately. Very skillful in inserting the probe down my nostril. I very happy I came to this Doctor for my issue.

He is a very accomplished Doctor who takes the time to listen to you and explain the medical problem . I had surgery for a benign parotid tumor and I was very happy with the result of the surgery .

Seen exactly at the time of my appointment. Physician was patient, listened to what I had to say. Was reassuring in his response. Laid out course of action in a way I could understand.

He explained everything to me and he is the most compassionate doctor I’ve ever met so humble. I would most definitely recommend him. I will be having surgery with him in August and Dr Kuhel Took all my fears away. I know I will be in good hands. May God Bless him

Dr. Kuhel is very knowledgeable, caring, attentive, professional and courteous. Has been given superior service steadily for 20 years.

This is the third ENT I have consulted for my condition. Dr. Kuhel conducted by far the most thorough exam; ordered the appropriate test; and even walked out of the exam room with me to hand me over to an assistant (who actually picked up the phone and made the test appointment for me!). He has been on the C & C Top Doctors list for seven years, and here is why: Despite his obvious intelligence and medical expertise, he carries himself with grace, and humility. I trust his judgment completely.

Dr. Kuhel is absolutely superb and I am extremely grateful to him. He is very knowledgeable, gives clear explanations, answers all questions and never rushes, is kind, gentle and respectful, and inspires complete confidence. His surgery was careful and thorough, my scar is minimal and I am now cancer-free.

He is a wonderful doctor!

Dr Kuhel is very capable, kind and inspires confidence. I value his expertise and find his team to be extremely capable and well organized, a real pleasure to work with.

Dr Kuhel gave me all the time I felt necessary to understand the medical procedure I needed to remove a growth. He met with me prior to surgery. After surgery I was able to communicate with Dr Kuhel via text message and was surprised at how responsive he was to all my questions even at 10:30 at night.

He is very thorough, explains well, and is reassuring.

I have been cancer free for 5 years while under Dr. Kuhel’s care. For me he is the best.

A follow up visit regarding mass in neck.

Dr. Kuhel is extensively experienced oncological head & neck surgeon and it showed during our introductory visit with him. He was very clear in his assessment of my condition, what the optimal treatment modalities are, who will be involved in care, what the timeline is for moving forward. He was patient and complete in answering the many questions that arose from the diagnosis. I left reassured that I am in excellent hands with Dr. Kuhel.

Dr. Kuhel is probably one of the last doctors that generally cares about his patients. He returns calls, even at 7:30pm at night. He is always there to answer additional questions. He doesn’t rush through his surgeries to get in as many as he can in one day. He follows up and he shows he cares every step of the way. I can’t say enough out this Doctor!!! Maybe, I wish there were more of him out there!!! You are in the BEST hands with Dr. Kuhel. I am glad I selected him to remove my thyroid. Dr. Kuhel is an outstanding surgeon. In addition, he is informative and very patient focused. From the first moment I met Dr. Kuhel, I felt great confidence in him and everything that has transpired since, including his diagnosis, the medical procedure and its outcome has reinforced that judgment.

Met with him to discuss my diagnosis and surgery. He is so nice and explained everything to me. He listened to my concerns and addressed them. He is so humble and professional and I know I am in the right hands.

I explained the problems I was having. Dr Kuhel listened, asked questions, examined me. He could not find anything wrong. He referred me to Dr Sulica and asked me to check back with him to see if my problems are resolved.

He was patient and explained in detail the procedures I would be undergoing.

Dr Kuhel was incredibly knowledgeable, explained my surgery impeccably and suggested an alternative to surgery that I am exploring. If I do have surgery I will certainly use him.

Find me a surgeon that is more personable, empathic and a better listener than Dr. Kuhel! S/he cannot exist. As for his skills, I have never felt so thoroughly examined in 50 years of seeking out the best doctors in Manhattan. Happily, I've not yet needed surgery but his position speaks for his expertise in the OR.

Before my appointment, a close friend told me that Dr. Kuhel had performed similar surgery on her, and that she really liked him. At my first appointment, Dr. Kuhel was kind and forthcoming with explanations and answers to our questions [I brought a friend with me]. Based on test results, he recommended surgery and explained everything that was going to happen. And it happened just as he said. The follow-up appointments were informative, and luckily everything went well. I've been discharged, and hope none of my friends need throat surgery, but if they do, I will recommend Dr. Kuhel.

As a new patient Dr Kuhel Was detailed clear expressive And not at any time felt rushed. Fantastic would be very happy to recommend him to family & friends.

Dr. Kuhel is one of those rare physicians who have it all – his exam is very thorough, he's knowledgeable, direct and not formulaic in his medical insights. Add to that pleasant, respectful and quick to follow-up as promised, and that's why there aren't enough stars here for him. Did I mention punctual?

Great doctor. He performed my thyroid surgery in 2009, and I have seen him annually since. Also, his physician assistant does great job ....

Dr. Kuhel is kind, sensitive & attentive. His surgical skills are superb. Everything went smoothly & you can barely tell any surgery was performed.

Dr. Kuhel is brilliant and empathetic. He has a gift of making complex issues comprehensible for the layman. I will recommend him without reservation

I had 2 surgeries in a short time with Dr. Kuhel. He has followed up on my recovery and has referred me to other highly professional doctors. Dr. Kuhel is extraordinarily physician and a magnificent human being.

Dr. Kuhel is attentive and listens carefully, something not every doctor does these days. He was my surgeon 16 years ago and I returned recently with an unrelated minor complaint because I was so satisfied with the results of my earlier surgery. He inspires confidence.
