Dr. Hammonds is always keen to any eye changes or worries. He has a great personality and good assistants. He was recommended by a former eye professional in the same practice.

When I needed to have surgery on my eyes, Dr. Hammonds kept me calm, and his team members were truly amazing and top notched. I no longer fear going to have my vision checked. These individuals really care. I thank each one for helping me.

I feel very comfortable there. I like Dr Hammonds very much also all the nurses that help him.

I’ve already warned my besties that I will now be able to tell them when they need to color their hair, pull out facial hair & to pick the spinach out of their teeth!! I asked my primary care doctor who is the best eye doctor in Charlotte? He and others told me Dr Hammonds is by far the best, so I scheduled an appointment, and agree he is great. He did a wonderful job evaluating me, and on the first corrective procedure did a wonderful job with terrific results. Excellent service. My surgery went well. Also working Katherine was a great experience. She is very welcoming and Dr Hammonds explained everything while he was doing the surgery. He is very detailed. Dr. Hammond explained my cataract surgery in detail, and I had excellent results with both eyes. I found him to be patience and caring and would definitely give him a 5 star!

Dr. Hammonds is an awesome physician. I trust him fully. I had my first cataract surgery yesterday and saw him this morning. My other eye is scheduled in 2 weeks. He is very calm and reassuring. The staff are all great. The staff at the surgery center SouthPark were awesome as well.

-Rushed 5 minute visit, after waiting 45 minutes. -Won’t renew prescribe contact lenses, even though he’s listed as an MD Ophthalmology Specialist. -Overcharged $15 more than original copay for the visit.

2nd time to see Dr. Hammonds, appts for both husband & myself. During Covid, patients crowded, some w/out masks, office loud, almost 1 hr wait. Eyes dilated, no explanation, had to drive 2 hrs, eyes unfocused, lucky to not have accident. Security guard at door wore mask under chin. Sent complaint letter, office lack of communication, finally paid bill, only to receive collection calls after pmt made. 5 calls to office, finally a business clerk found mistake. My acct credited with amt for husband's bill, he had balance. Clerk said she corrected, asked to speak to manager. Left voice mail and still waiting for response. Based on earlier experiences, it is unlikely I will get a response. Highly recommend potential patients seek health care elsewhere.

Dr. Hammonds is not only a specialist in the field of Ophthalmology, he is an expert! I am so pleased with him as my doctor, I drive from my home in Roanoke, Va. to continue to receive treatment under his care. He is just the very best.

Dr Hammonds is great, the issue I have is with the system to contact him or make an appt. etc. The online portal constantly disables me, I have to call each time to get it enabled. If you call the office # be prepared to wait up to 20 minutes to speak with someone, very frustrating.
