Dr. Hammill is THE BEST! From the moment we walked in his office when our baby was only a few days old, he made us feel at ease. He is a highly respected expert in the Charlotte area, and I am so thankful our pediatrician sent us directly to him to get my child's murmur checked out. It turned out that my daughter had an Atrial Septal Defect that was mid-sized and may or may not eventually need surgery. Dr. Hammill always encouraged us at every visit that if she needed intervention, it would be done in the cardiac cath lab and would not be invasive. Unfortunately, when my daughter was three, we had to move and change care providers to a different state. The new cardiologist told us that our child would need open heart surgery, much to our dismay. As soon as I got home, I called Dr. Hammill who took time out of his day to reassure me that would not be the case. He told us we can always return to Charlotte, and return to Charlotte we did! We traveled yearly to him (6 hours away from where we live now- SO WORTH IT!), until it was time for my child to have her ASD repair. He referred us to the VERY BEST cardiac cath doc, Dr. Paolillo. Even though Paolillo is at Levine Children's, they work together seamlessly for their patients who need the procedure. My daughter recently was able to have her repair at age six, and walked two miles the day after her surgery! She has been playing and running around 100% since then. We are so very thankful for Dr. Hammill's expertise and compassion throughout the time he cared for not only our daughter, but our entire family. He is an absolute GEM! Dr. Hammill is THE BEST! He is more than a doctor. He is an advocate, caring, and puts needs of your family first. One of the BEST doctors my child has seen.

I love Dr Hammill he been seeing my daughter since she was born 2010 and i wouldnt choose another dr ill always recommend dr hammill if someone looking for a pedactric Cardiologist

great doctor, horrible office staff. Would not recommend anyone due to the trouble wth scheduling appts. and with the customer service which is awful. Hate to call this office, literrally hate to call.
