William J Fillmore

I saw Jonathan (William) Fillmore multiple times at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. I told him I was in screaming pain since I had sleep apnea jaw surgery. He told me that I was not on enough pain killers. Fillmore actually called my neurologist and told him to give me MORE pain medicine. After a SECOND ABSCESS and SECOND ER visit in Houston, TX. Hermann Hospital doctors found an INCH OF NECROTIC bone and 4 serious infections in my jaw bone beneath my metal plates. Fillmore didn’t do specialized bloodwork, he didn’t do a CT scan or MRI or nuclear studies since I had so much metal in my mouth. Instead, Mayo proceeded with a palate injection and is charging me 22,000 after doing a palate procedure while I had rotted or necrotic bone in my jaws! I had 4 very strong bacteria which were cultured. They had been growing since my original jaw surgery at Methodist in Houston, TX. I went to Dr. Fillmore in extreme pain for help and be just called my doctor and took him to drug me!

Brilliant surgeon. Performs some of the most complex surgeries in the country. Saved my life after 3 years of misdiagnosis. Diagnosis and surgery fixed my problem and 99% of my symptoms. Great bedside manner. Really nice. Dry sense of humor. Young but very experienced. 5 stars!!! I’d go to him anytime I needed to!

After eating soft food for several months my doctor referred me to Dr. Fillmore. I told him how the pain was taking away from so many parts of my life. It hurt to eat, talk, sing and even smile. I was thrilled when he was able to fit me into his schedule for surgery and within six weeks I was eating steak. My ear, which was my first location of pain, felt better immediately after the surgery and continues to feel fine. I am SO grateful to Dr. Fillmore and his staff.

Dr. Fillmore is a fantastic caretaker! He is compassionate, attentive and a clear communicator. He is an excellent surgeon who has greatly helped me and blessed my life!

I have seen a number of oral surgeons since my problems began in the early 2000's. He said to me "you should have seen me first" That is not what a patient wants to hear.
