Amazing Dr. Who is extremely thorough with my husband who came in after an accident and his shoulder looked like it was hanging off. There is a long wait but I’d rather wait for someone who stays in the room with us for 1 1/2 hours than be rushed by a doctor who does a 10 minute exam and pushes us out the door. If you want the best, he’s the guy. Amazing Dr. Who is extremely thorough with my husband who came in after an accident and his shoulder looked like it was hanging off. Dr. Facibene is ok. His staff are horrible. His nurse Kris is the best with regards to her attitude. His wife is his Office Manage just atrocious. I had both hands operated on by him due to severe carpal tunnel and left with nerve illness now leading to other neuropathic difficulties. In more pain than before the surgery. It is a shame as he was recommended to me and he totally struck out on the ball. The shady billing and disrespect of his front and back office staff is horrible. He has a very nice bedside manner though very mild mannered. Its a shame that you go to a specialist for help and then become their VICTIM. After many sleepless nights I have decided to file charges with the Medical Board. When I could not recover the staff made me feel as though I wanted pain meds for no valid reason then referred me to a Neurologist who specialized in Pain Management. After MRI's, CT Scans and more testing by two specialists I was left with RSD, Ganglion Cysts, Neuropathy, Trigger Finger and many sleepless nights. The pain they tried to say was impossible. Well specialists and a judge has rendered me permanently disabled in both hands. You tell me he doesnt need to stop practicing??? A simple Carpal Tunnel Release Surgery has left me damaged I will never work again. Someone reading this needs to know wherever he is practicing (because they left 1999 Marcus Avenue Suite 202). He needs to be permanently retired like he left me. Several nerve blocks, cortisone injections, PT, nothing works. Thank You Dr. Facibene for destroying a healthy persons ability to function. I am now permanently disabled after you performed surgery on both of my hands for a simple carpal tunnel release. Left unable to properly use my hands after you tried to make me think the pain was in my head. Specialists and a judge declared me unable to work again. Now on permanent disability. We have tried everything. How you rest at night is beyond me. You were nice but your staff are all extremely rude and have no compassion. To be honest some of them are racist and it is horrifying knowing your practice is not closed. After taking stacks of documents to my attorney and consulting with my family and God. I finally have the heart to file charges. I would never want you to not be able to practice you seem to love it but what about me?? After getting my Masters in Healthcare Administration I can't even use it because you left me disabled. The kost hurtful part my insurance and I paid a great deal of $$ to you and after eight weeks you felt it was beneath you to take new XRays see if maybe you missed something no you pushed me to a pain management Dr. and said no more follow up would be done by you. You had already received all of your money so it was on to the next patient. I pray you do not destroy anyone else's happiness.

Dr. Facibene is now with the Central Orthopedic Group in Rockville Center (tele 516-681-8822). Over the years he has treated me for more than one problem and all the results have been 100% successful (without surgery). He explains the problem and treatments clearly and in a very patient manner. C. Murphy

Dr. Facibene did surgery on my shoulder to repair a torn rotator cuff and labrum. It was fully repaired and better than before. My physical therapists were amazed at the range of motion and how well I healed. I’ve read some reviews about office wait times. What more important? Getting the greatest of surgeons to do your surgical repairs or having to wait because your doctor talks to all his patients and truly cares 150% for them. I’d have Dr. Facibene do any surgery I needed in his orthopedic field. Thank you Dr. Facibene for being you. Dr. Facibene did surgery on my shoulder to repair a torn rotator cuff and labrum. Someone asked if he left the practice, comment dated 4.14.21. Thank you. I had an appointment for 3.17.21 a.m. and got a call the nite before he had to cancel, no reason given. When I asked to be rescheduled they could not tell me when he would be available. Someone will call back in two days. I waited three days to call back and was told he was no longer with the group. He was apparently either in the wind or on his own. Fast forward to 4.19, a friend told me she had seen him that day, in the same group, in the same office. I don't know what happened, but he did his patients a very big disservice. I will not see him. I asked for all my records to be returned, that has never happened. Bad communication all around

I went to Dr. Facibene for treatment on two different problem areas. During each visit, he explained the basis for the issues and discussed viable treatment options. The information was communicated so that a non med prof could understand. His manner was compassionate yet confident. I hope I don’t have further joint problems but if I do, or require surgery, I trust he’ll provide the best care possible.

I don't even know which visit to begin with! Pretty much my whole family has been his patient at one time or another. Where the wait in his office can be long, Dr. Facibene is the best so you wait. I was recommended to him by a friend who happens to be a doctor. When two of my doctors injured their fingers they all went to Dr. Facibene. When I broke my wrist, an OT at my daughter's swim meet said that I had to see Dr. Facibene. He has been treating one person or another in my family for close to 18 years! Obviously, we keep going back so don't have any complaints!

From the very first meeting with Dr. Facibene, he made me feel comfortable and well-taken care of. He took the time to carefully explain everything in great detail and never rushed rush me or make me feel that any question I had was foolish. Visiting him on a Wednesday, he and his amazing office staff were able to get me in for surgery that Friday (along with all the ore-surgical clearance and medical clearance necessary). Dr. Facibene’s professionalism and bedside manner are truly amazing, and I would highly recommend him.

I have heard many good things about the physician, but, unfortunately, I never got to visit with the doctor himself. His staff insisted on me providing my Medicare number to make an appoinment, which I was reticent to do over the telephone or on line for fear of identity theft. I tried to explain that I would wait until he switched over to NYU and was on their computer system which has a fire wall protecting sensitive patient information and has all my data since many of my doctors are NYU, but she did not give me the opportunity. She told me she was not going to make any appointment for me.

Was recommended to Dr Facibene very highly wanted to get another opinion regarding an elbow fracture from last year that I had surgery from another dr and still to this day not feeling better after pt and other opinions.I spoke to a Susan on the phone she told me I need to bring in whatever paper work from Dr I brought in all disks of Mri, Ct scan Xray etc. I had a letter from other dr telling the after op report Went to drop it off she wouldnt take it said it wasnt enough. So I sent my husband in after walking out of office in tears because I have been in such pain such Easter of last year with this elbow and thought I would maybe finally find a dr that would help me. My husband asked her to write down exactly what we need for the Dr to see me and she got angry saying hes a great dr and dismissed my husband and said THEY WOULD NOT TAKE MY CASE What kind of practice does such a thing Maybe hes a great dr but I felt like how could I just be dismissed without her even showing the dr anything. This place is just disgustingly HORRIBLE. I would not recommend anyone going here. The doctor was fine but his staff are all unattractively rude and unprofessional. The waiting room is filthy and uncomfortable. The wait time in said waiting room is even more horrible. It’s an average of 1-2 hour wait time. Then after you take your xrays they have you waiting in the exam room for another 20-30 minutes. They also try to force you to leave ur credit card on file (although i requested for them not to) and wait months to illegally charge your card without sending out a bill or an invoice or even a receipt for that matter. Long story short he did such an excellent job on my finger surgery ( He needed to reconstruct the joint and add some screws etc.) that when I fell off an hover board in September and fractured my right wrist I was completely devastated as I just back to normal with my left finger that was repaired. Dr. Facibene repaired a pretty severe injury I had in my wrist a few years ago. It feels way better than prior to the surgery. He took his time with me and had great bed side manner. As others have mentioned, the front desk / his wife aren't the best lol. Expect to way longer than your appointment time (bring a book!). But Dr. Facibene himself is simply amazing.

Dr. Facibene operated on me last month. My daughter and I had both previously had been patients with another well-respected surgeon, with good results, but the lack of time spent with me made me extremely uneasy. Dr. Facibene would not leave until I clearly understood every single aspect of the surgery. His staff's follow up care was just as efficient. We have nothing but good things to say...and as for the recovery: so far, so good!

I rarely write reviews but anyone complaining about a wait for this sub-specialist is ridiculous. I did wait, about 45 minutes before an X-ray and then about another 45 till he came into the room to see me (he'd already reviewed my history and x-rays). If you want a Dr who spends 60 seconds with you, he is not for you. He spent plenty of time to make me comfortable and to treat me and answer every question I had. Maybe that's why he sometimes has long waits. The credit card stuff is nonsense, If you're not a reliable patient, you don't deserve him. I was so pleased with his expertise and care.

I had an appt for my 2.8year old daughter. I called them in advance to let them know I’d be running late. They told me not to re-schedule, they’d still see me when I come in. I waited for over 2hrs to be seen and still everyone else was being taken in before my child. Once I said something to the office staff, they pretended that I was next and stuck us into a small office to wait some more. As you can imagine, my child is getting extremely restless. We waited and waited and I decided to open the door to see what’s going on. I asked again, and for some reason ppl that came in after us were being seen before us. I inquired about that and explained to them I’m here with a child who can’t wait over 2 hours in a waiting room and they told me it’s a personal issue and that is not their problem. I told them they should consider being more accommodating because we’re dealing with children and the lady threatened me to either take my child and sit inside the closed room or she will call the police. When I asked to get my original records returned, they refused to give them claiming he’d are now office property. Unbelievable! I hadn’t even had a chance to meet the Dr. himself and the office staff, were so rude and unprofessional. First of all I posted 1 star because I had to in order for my review to post. I had an appointment straight after work at 4:45 to see Dr Facibene for pain in both of my wrists from carpal tunnel. This was not the first time I was seen at Dr Facibene's office. His staff needs to work on their people skills. His receptionist is rude and kurt. The waiting area had empty snapple bottle on the floor and the carpet and chairs were stained. I sat in the waiting room for 1 hour and 15 minutes until I was called in for x-rays. Then seated back in waiting room so I didn't have to wait and look at the four banged up much needed painted walls in the treatment room. That lasted 5 minutes, where I was then called into the room and made to wait another 1/2 hour with no one coming in to say when the Dr. would be making an appearance. I got so frustrated looking at the four ugly walls, got up opened the door to find an assistant outside my door. When I asked her how much longer she said he had to take in an emergency and she wasn't sure how much longer. Does it escape all common sense in a Dr.'s office to simply walk in to the patient waiting and let them know he is still running late and an emergency came in that he had to take? I told the girl I have been waiting 2 hours to see him and her response was not to raise my voice to her. I told her she has no idea how raised my voice could get and I was done. I told her I was leaving and she better not charge my charge card for this visit. According to PCI compliance which are rules about credit cards, Dr office's are not allowed to keep a copy on file of your credit card. This office demands it or you cannot be seen. I have worked as an office manager for a Dr.'s office for over 20 years and my boss would never tolerate the attitude or the abuse of patients being made to wait like this in his office. There is always a nicer way to say things and present situations to your patients. Shame on you Dr Facibene! First of all I posted 1 star because I had to in order for my review to post. Staff is OUTRAGEOUSLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I’ve been here 3 times and the wait has always been > 1 hour. It’s a shame because I like the doctor, he is very nice and seems to be thoughtful with his diagnosis and treatment. He really needs to re-consider his staff and his overbooking of patients. I have never in my life experienced such poor treatment. (The X-ray tech Jose is lovely and I don’t want to group him in with the other treacherous staff). There are many other offices in the area (as the staff rudely told me when I asked when I would been seen 45 minutes after my appointment). Staff is OUTRAGEOUSLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Dr. Facibene is awesome! He takes his time with you and explains everything so thoroughly so if you have to wait a little while to see him it is so worth it. You will leave his office so educated about your condition and be able to make an informed decision.

Exceptional! You will wait, but he answers all your questions and never rushes you. Staff couldn't be friendlier and more helpful. I have seen many abusive, obnoxious patients treat the staff in such disrespectful ways, those are probably the ones who wrote the nasty reviews..ha ha. My family as well as Myself have been using Dr . Facibene for many many years . We have had many broken bones , surgeries , and cartilage issues that all have been brought to the attention of Dr. Facibene. I have read some of these reviews and have to say it’s very disappointing that people do not realize how dedicated Dr . Facibene and his staff are to their patients . I myself have waited to see him and trust me he is worth every second of the wait ! He is THE BEST !!! He gives each and every patient his undivided attention and his professional and kind bedside manner deserves 10 stars !! Do not believe everything you read on negative reviews . 5 Stars across the board. As a more recent patient I would like to say that EVERYONE from the front desk staff, to the X-ray technician to the doctor left me very happy with their services. Approachable, happy, knowledgeable and willing to answer all of my questions are just a few things I can say about everyone in this office. I came here with my 6 year old son and everyone was patient and caring when it came to him and his fracture. I would definitely recommend this doctor and his establishment to anyone looking for an orthopedist. 5 Stars across the board. Read the bad reviews. That is the truth. Really. Believe it. Office procedures and staff more concerned with money, than patient care. Offices key aim appears to be profit first, patient concern, last. Doctor does not seem to be concerned with patient intake. Staff not completely forthright, to say the least. Patient in office was charged incorrect payment while others waited.

Dr Facibene is skillful in his Specialty but as a human being is beyond greedy. He allows his Staff to verbally mistreating his patients by condescending attituids, lack of emphatic and respectfulnes Staff an MD bonds together to secure payment with your credit card, they remained payments in such a way that made feel as I don’t pay my bills an feel irresponsable. I suggest some Staff and MD training in treating patients with respect and humility. Family not Medical Schools teach values

ZERO. The staff is beyond obnoxious. The doctor cares only for money. People for some reason wait 2 to 3 hours in his office, and he does not care. The amount of paperwork to fill out before seeing him is beyond the norm, and get this he demands to see and get your credit card prior to seeing him. Could't give a damn about your Medicare or health insurance. No credit card no service. I offered it & complained about it and they canceled my appointment. Christy a horror! STAY AWAY

Dr Facibene is an excellent surgeon who explains the procedure and answers your questions . He is very thorough and I was very satisfied with my shoulder surgery . Chris the person in charge of following up with tests , medicines etc did an excellent job also. I read some of the unsatisfactory comments people made about her in the past and can’t help but wonder if these people are chronically malcontent and complain wherever they are served

This is the most rude, unprofessional medical practice I've visited in my 67 years. The Office Manager, Chris, needs lessons in propriety and patient service. Dr Facibene's ego far outweighs his patients' needs. 8 days before my scheduled, complicated hand surgery, the Doctor cancelled my surgery, and sent a message to find another doctor. Why? Because during my pre-op visit with my primary physician, he advised me to tell Dr Facibene that he prefers I have my surgery performed NOT at the private urgi-center Dr Facibene wants, but at an ambulatory surgical center with a hospital setting. My primary doctor, felt that was a safer choice for me. When I went to Dr Facibebe's office and advised Chris of this, she became enraged and began to trash-talk my caring physician of over 25 years. I was told Dr Facibene would speak to him the next day. When my primary tried several times to call, he was never allowed to speak to Dr Facibene. Today, I got a call from Chris, telling me my surgery was cancelled and that I should find a new hand doctor, (after treating me for a few years.) I asked to speak with Dr Facibene, and she refused to let me do so. I learned my primary pysician considered my health and safety important. Obviously, Dr Facibene and staff did not. I'm not surprise seeing some of these reviews after the experience I had. I had some questions regarding my copayment and the staff was beyond rude they were downright nasty! told me I could leave! Dr. came out in a very arrogant manner and told his mavens to call the cops on me! Really BecUse they didn't like my questions? I absolutely couldn't believe this behavior from a medical professional and his staff it's absurd and he shouldn't even be able to practice medicine what an animal !

Reviews are right on with how disrespectful and unprofessional the staff can be . I just had a hand injury and I have been stressing about calling this doctor and having to deal with the 2 1/2 to 3 hour wait, mind you this is regardless of whether it's a first time appointment or a follow up and that god awful staff of his. By the way if you complain to him nothing happens and he dismisses it . If anyone finds a good doctor please post name! Needless to say I'm looking for somewhere else.

I wanted to like Dr. Facibene, I really did. He is very knowledgable and his bed side manner is decent. However, his staff, specifically that god awful woman running his office Sue, ruined it for me, and probably everyone else in the waiting room. She is beyond unprofessional and rude to patients and staff. This woman does not belong anywhere near patients, she is dismantling this doctors business and completely trashing his practice. Recently I had surgery on my left hand. The process from initial visit with Dr. Facibene, to the post-surgery visit went smoothly and timely. Dr. Facibene is highly competent, relates well to his patients, and takes the time to address your concerns/answer all of your questions. The office staff is accommodating and professional, too!

Great Neck, NY | Mar 10, 2017 The other patients' comments about the staff are right on. I kept expecting Nurse Ratched to show up at any moment. I think they all need intense psychiatric treatment. I really wanted to like Dr. Facibene with his folksy manner but I found his conduct unprofessional, disrespectful and close to malpractice. Upon removing my clothes, I had to wait over an hour to see him in a rather uncomfortable Spartan office, even though I was told every 15 min that he was about to come in. He gave me a 2 min exam and then promptly disappeared without a word. When Nurse Ratched came into the room I said I had some questions for the doctor to which she coldly replied that he had already moved onto another patient. I would have to be delirious before letting him perform a delicate surgical procedure on me and It would be more preferable to go to an illegal Asian spa, where at least they know how to treat you. I would give zero stars if your website would allow it. Great Neck, NY | Mar 10, 2017 The other patients' comments about the staff are right on. Dr. Facibene is an excellent doctor. He takes the time to talk with you about your condition. Had two hand surgeries and the both were very successful. BUT... the wait time to see him can be very long. So keep that in mind when you are sitting in the office. Long wait...excellent doctor.
