Dr. William S. Dodson JR.

William S. Dodson, Jr., DMD was supposed to do root canal surgery on two (2) of my teeth on Jan. 23, 2023. Both teeth are crowns and both are located on the left side of my mouth. Tooth #14 (upper jaw) was the last crown I had done in my mouth and it had never been given a root canal. Tooth #19 (lower jaw) was my very first crown and had been given a root canal close to fifteen years ago. Dr. Dodson told me he could do root canals on both teeth in the same day. Upon completion of what was supposed to be tooth 19, Dr. Dodson told me that I just received a free root canal. I asked him why and then he told me that he had just did a root canal on tooth #18 by mistake. I thought and was hoping that he was joking or pulling my leg. Then for the very first time Dr. Dodson tells me that I had to come back anyway because there was a problem with tooth 14 which he never mentioned before until after doing a root canal on the wrong tooth that never needed to have one. I refuse to see him again!

I went to see Dr. Dodson for a broken tooth. He failed to listen to anything I had to say, and even told me to shut up. Yet he asked multiple questions without letting me answer. I was told that I didn’t deserve to have my teeth worked on by him since I obviously don’t take care of them and that he didn’t want to waste his time on someone like me. He berated me while standing over me for so long, I eventually just got up and left in tears. I have never been so mistreated by a “professional” in all my life.

They gave me a hard time about my insurance with a different story depending on who I talked to. Do they not know what they are doing? One person said they would only charge my one policy that doesn’t pay anything, then I front all this money until the others are filed and they send me a check later. The next person says they only bill one insurance and I have to file the others myself. Either way thank you. I refuse to bill my own instance and I refuse to front money to make their life easier. Dealing with insurance companies is their job not mine. I have been here before but I never really understood what they were doing with my insurance until now. The best dental care experience I’ve had. Very gentile and professional!

Walked into a fairly crowded waiting room on 12/21 to sign and fill out paperwork 15 to 20 min before my 1:15 appointment. No one was approached at that time about having to leave the office and wait in their car to be called in after paperwork process. Minutes later after filling out paperwork, myself and one other woman was alone in the waiting room spaces out. The rest either finished check out process or was called to their doctors. Even though we were spaced out and the only 2 left in the waiting room, we were approached to leave and wait in our cars to be called in when our doctor was ready. Very uncomfortable, sitting in the car wondering why were the 2 of us were ushered outside when we walked into a crowded waiting room 20 minutes prior. So i called my dentist office, asked for another doctor in network. I was immensely satisfied by their response. I called Dodson office back while in the car to outright cancel the appointment. That lack of consistency concerning their own waiting room policy was uncomfortable, thats all. And thank you so much to the office of shannon martin for their prompt response to my concern. Had to have a root canal procedure, thinking it was going to be a bad experience. It was just the opposite, great staff and Dr. Dodson was very professional and a pleasure to work with.I would highly recommend him.

I have to say this was the best dentist office I have been to. The waiting room is very pleasant and check in was a breeze. The rooms are very clean and organized and the new chairs made me want to nap. All of the equipment is the latest technology. They showed me my teeth on a TV right in front of me while sitting the chair. High quality images to include a 3D or 4D image of all my teeth, It was incredible. The staff explained the complete procedure and what to expect following. I was blown away by all of the staff. Very knowledge, friendly, helpful, and very cheerful. A special shout out to Sarah, who made me very comfortable and my root canal experience a fun one. Doc Dodson was amazing, got done in record time and he was very thorough. I highly recommend Dr. Dodson and staff for your dental needs. Thanks again to everyone and I am actually looking forward to my second root canal next week. Cheers! There is nothing bad I can say about this place or my experience. The idea of having a root canal had me scared and nervous. Dr. Dodson and Jasmin are great!!! They took the time to explain what I may feel or hear at each step of the process so that I would not be startled which actually helped me to relax more. From the moment I walked into the office all of the staff were very professional and friendly. I was dreading having a root canal as I have had them in the past and did not have a very good experience. I was recommended to Dr. Dodson by my sister-in-law, and am so glad I took her advice. Unfortunately, the practice is not in my insurance network, but they filed for me and that is good enough! I feel that the fee was reasonable. The Dr's. Assistant, Jasmin was so friendly and knowledgeable. She really put me at ease in a stressful situation. Dr. Dodson was very friendly with a great sense of humor, and a soothing voice to boot! Most importantly, the procedure was done with little to no pain, (the x-rays hurt more!) I would highly recommend the practice to anyone needing this type of procedure. From the time I walked in the door, I felt very comfortable with the staff. Meeting Dr. Dodson was a true pleasure, as he showed great concern and comfort while performing my procedure. The dentist assistant Morgan was a pleasure. I would truly recommend Dr. Dodson.

What an absolute wonderful and positive experience. I was in much pain and apprehensive about the procedure, but Kim and Dr Dodson put me at ease by showing their gracious empathy, gentleness and skill. I would highly recommend this group!!

This place is corrupt and does bad business. They tell you one price for a procedure on the phone and then when you get there they add hundreds of dollars to the bill without even completing an actual procedure. They are only interested in money and not your actual health or teeth.

I was a new patient to this practice, having been referred for a root canal by my dentist. It seemed like a pretty well-oiled machine in place, even when I needed a stronger anesthetic. It was a pretty straight forward root canal; the discomfort was minimal, from the anesthetic injections. I was impressed that they were able to save the crown. I would not have known if they had just gone in and needlessly destroyed it (which would have cost me). I am hurting a bit, so I think I might need more treatment; not sure what is happening or if the discomfort is normal. I called for an appointment to address this and they said they would see me on an emergency basis if needed. Will update shortly if my good review needs to be edited!

I was quite apprehensive going in, but the techs and Dr. Royzenblatt calmed my fears and then did a simply Amazing root canal. It was almost like magic. As close to fun as a root canal could be! Very quick service, friendly and always makes sure all questions are answered before beginning!

My experience as a first time patient was very good. I am not a fan of the dentist or any dental procedure but i would definitely recommend Dodson Endodontics. I can be extremely high strung when my anxiety kicks in but Dr. Dodson and his humor really did the trick for me. Laughter is truly the best medicine. The dentist and his technicians were efficient and almost pain free. I left the office feeling good about my experience.

Dr. Dodson and his staff was everything I expected and more based on a referral from my husband whose a Veteran. Dr. Dodson Blessed my husband over a year ago in an emergency situation . We are grateful. We will certainly refer this office to all we know , and they won’t be disappointed.

this was the worst experience i have ever heard with a dentist. He barely explained anything to me. Acted like I wasn't even there during the procedure. Was way too fast, in my opinion. i did not feel comfortable in the chair and would never go back. This is more of an assembly line than a competent endodontist.

I would highly recommend Dr. Royzenblat and Dr. Dodson. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Royzenblat and his staff. He was quick to recognize the problem from my previous procedure and worked extensively to address the problem on that same day. Dr. Royzenblat meticulously performed the procedure and I felt no pain throughout the whole treatment. He explained every single step in detail which eased my fears. I was very nervous when I first arrived but the office staff put me at ease immediately and made me feel they would help me anyway they could. Dr. Dodson made me feel that all my questions were important and took time to answer each question. He has a distinct personality and had me laughing, I really appreciated that. His staff were very friendly and helpful. Very patient with me. He gave me a letter of what needed to be done with his recommendations and also sent one to my dentist.

He and his staff are truly amazing, me being scared to death I felt a sense of peace knowing that I would be in good hands. After having a bad experience with another dentist he assured me that I would never experience that in his office. So thanks guys u have restored my faith in a dentist again!!!

Good Endodontist, but arrogant. He wasn't the nicest to his staff. The young lady was nervous and kept dropping things. I couldn't relax. He barely spoke to me. She spoke to me and explained the best she could. When I asked questions she said he would tell me when in fact he didn't. But not going to lie he's good at what he does but his table side manners could use some work. His staff were awesome! Very accommodating.

Hearing you need a root canal is not the thing you want to hear. But Dr. Dodson did an outstanding job in helping me stay relaxed. From the first phone call to confirm to the end at checkout I had a clear understanding of the process and knew I was in good hands. I can be a bit over the top when it comes to dentists but I felt in good hands with Dr. Dodson. My only disappointment was hearing he ONLY does root canals, because I would love him for a dentist. I was mortified when my doctor told me I needed a root canal. I called Dodson Endodontics and set my appointment, for the very next day! The waiting area was so cozy (massage chair, keurig machine and netflix..huge plus for my husband). The receptionist was extremely friendly and walked me through the registration on their tablets. Dr.Dodson and his assistant, Selena, were both phenomenal! Never thought I would enjoy a root canal! If you should ever need one, these people are the best!

Loved my visit to Dr. Dodson's office. The staff was very welcoming and kind. Dr. Dodson was very attentive to my needs and was willing to make any all accommodations. He took the time to make sure I understood the procedure and how to take care of myself after. His professionalism and humor put my nerves at ease.

Dr. Dodson is a wonderful endodontist. I had the BEST experience for my FIRST EVER root canal procedure!!! The front desk staff and assistants were very helpful and Dr. Dodson explained the entire procedure to me thoroughly. I would highly recommend this office.

Twice I saw Dr Dodson. Both times he failed to listen to me. The first time I told him that I typically required a significant amount of novacane before a procedure. I never did get numb and required a 3rd injection mid-procedure! The second visit was due to complications from the first visit. I tried asking questions because I didn't understand my options, and he interrupted me to say that he was commenting to himself. This was not a discussion. I will never return.

No problem with Doctor's skill or professionalism. The office staff and Doctor's assistant in my view are sub par in relation to other dental practices. This would not discourage me from recommending the doctor however.

Dr.Dodson comes directly to the point, explains everything and all options and then does an outstanding job of doing what has been decided upon. He is truly a great option when you require his specialty.
