I drove nearly 200 miles to meet with Dr. Davis at Ortho Carolina based on the advice of friends on whom he had successfully performed surgery, and on the stellar reviews I found on line. I found he and his team to be competent, concerned and professional at every level. They were very thorough in assessing my situation. For these reasons I have no qualms in trusting him to do my ankle replacement.

Dr Davis performed a toe fusion surgery on my left toe after diagnosing my hallux rigidus. He was brilliant and I am now able to move again without ANY pain in my foot. Amazing. He did the same surgery on my right foot 3 years ago and afterwords I was able to run ultraarathons with no pain. Incredible.

I have an in-bone titanium ankle that Dr. Davis did ten years ago as part of a study group. It has and does perform phenomenally. If it weren’t for Dr. Davis’ knowledge and expertise, I would be fully disabled. He is amazing at what he does. He gets five stars from me and I highly recommend him. My husband and I thank you Dr. Davis for changing our lives.

Dr. Davis is empathetic, listens, explains clearly, never seems to be in a hurry, yet I never have had long wait times.

Dr Davis was concerned for me as a person first. He let me know what the mri showed him and what his concerns were and what my options were. He took his time to examine and explained during the examination. If you need a foot and ankle dr he comes highly recommended.

Dr. Davis spent more time with me than 3 previous doctors I have seen, and I felt that he really listened to my issues. I feel very positive going forward that he will help me reach a good outcome.

I saw Dr. Davis for follow up to a previous exam where he explained issues in my ankle and toes. He reviewed new x-rays and the status of my problematic ankle and I agreed I was ready to have the surgery to correct the problems.

Dr. Davis listened to my concerns and did a careful examination of my broken ankle. He made an appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plan. I would see him again if needed.

Dr Davis is very skillful and professional. Had complete confidence in his ability to successfully perform my TAR. Still recovering but results are excellent. I feel fortunate to have been referred to Dr Davis and would recommend him.

Dr. Davis diagnosed my problem within 10 minutes, a problem with my foot that I had dealt with for 3 years and told me what the procedure was to fix it. The repair was more complicated than I expected but it worked.

Although my initial visit with Dr Davis and reviewing my MRI was about 8 months prior to my surgery, I recall a very informative conversation and very clear understanding of what needed to be done and why. I’m only 2 weeks post surgery with a long road in front of me but feeling positive about the quality impact this surgery will have on my life. Getting my stitches out and hard cast on showed me all the work that was done and I can actually already see a difference in the structure of my foot.

In my 86th year, Dr Davis performed my ankle replacement after trying several years of other treatments to reduce pain from a long-ago broken ankle. My recovery has gone very well, and with the prescribed PT I have every expectation of a great outcome. Now, at 9 wks and on my first day out of the boot, I have no more discomfort than before the surgery, and the healing has only just begun. The extraordinary benefit of choosing Dr Davis is that he will communicate by email to answer questions. I liked this because it is efficient, but also because I am a worrier, and getting the info I needed reduced my anxiety, Dr Davis has the reputation among the medical community of being THE ankle doctor for replacements, because of his outcomes and the large number he does each year. I would add that his supportive manner with patients and accessibility to patients go well beyond what I have expected from a surgeon and helped me very much. I am glad that I had this surgery here in Charlotte.

First consultation, with surgery looming, but felt extremely comfortable that I will be in capable hands with Dr. Davis. He explained the procedure and thoroughly answered my questions. I left feeling very optimistic about recovery.

My experience with Dr.Davis was good. Dr.Davis was kind and explained everything to me in detail. I was satisfied and comfortable with my visit with Dr.Davis.

Don't make the mistake that I did and go to Dr. Davis for your surgery. He did my full ankle replacement in 2013, 2 surgeries since then and my ankle still isn't right. I walk on the right side of my ankle, the prosthesis has collapsed onto itself. I had to retire because of the amount of pain that I was in.

It’s been seven years since I was told by a Podiatrist I would need to have my ankle & foot surgically frozen with no hope of walking normally again. As a General Contractor this was disheartening news. I was 3 months on crutches & in an orthopedic boot when I friend & Doctor referred me to Dr. Hodges Davis. It’s been over five years since my ankle replacement/foot surgery by Dr. Davis and his team. I was able to start back to work full-time in my Contracting business a few months after my surgery. I enjoy being with my family walking and keeping up with our 20 grandchildren! Dr. Hodges Davis skills are remarkable. He cares about his patients & his staff is great! Dr. Davis is salvaging my field ankle replacement. My surgery went great and looking at the X-rays I could see how perfectly the nbome post was placed. After years of suffering I really can see a light at the end of the tunnel and I am confident that this salvage will work out.

Dr. Davis was highly recommended by several of my closest friends. I had my foot reconstructed several weeks ago so I’m still healing and going thru the recovery process. I trust that at the end of my journey and with the continued care from Dr. Davis my foot will be functional again!

Hodges is absolutely the very best of the best doctors to have for foot surgery. He was recommended by my rhemutologist 34 years ago. He has operatated on my feet more than 9 times and will be doing 7 more on my feet in a few days. He is very kind and humble. He fixes problems that other MDS have made. Travels all around the world teaching other MDs how to better perform surgeries in their own community.
