Really liked the doctor. Very professional and informative. Gave several options to help with my knee. Looking forward to working with this doctor!

I 've had good times and I've had times that could have been better.I have seen a few of the doctors in the practice for different reasons. I would recommend all of them to people that needed Orthopedic doctors

First visit very efficiently run office.

I had a pleasant to meet Dr. Cottrell on my resent visit. He is a kind and considerate person who knows his business. I received an alternative solution to my problem without the offer of surgery, injections or medications. Dr.Cottrell is the excellent specialist. If you have a knee problem and no one can help you get back to normal live fast, see Dr.Cottrell, he’s your problem solution.

DR Cottrell has done Roto Cuff surgery on my husband and Knee replacement on myself. He always takes time to explain everything and answer questions . If there is alternative or less invasive treatment he will discuss all...exercise, therapy included. Excellent and kind doctor. His office staff is courteous and kind as well. Knee injections have been given by Brooke Johnson his PA and surgery follow up. She is very knowledgable, kind and gentle!! Easiest injection ever given. You will not find better care. Highly recommend !

Excellent staff, and Dr. Cottrell detailed what I need to do.

In and out in less than 40 minutes! This included x-rays, brief review of current state, x-ray review and suggested plan for future with physical therapy. Dr. Cottrell is a fast talker, but was clear in his explanation of what he was seeing/not seeing, what could be the problem and course of action to take. Hopefully PT will be effective and will follow up in 6 weeks. Office staff, including Nicole, were very pleasant and efficient. Very well run office! Only negative was construction outside w/o clear direction on where to park. In and out in less than 40 minutes! The line for x ray was a bit long but it moved ahead faster than expected, Dr Cottrell did a great job on my shoulder, I am amazed how fast it healed, he surely knows what he is doing. I have been recommending him to several people already

Prompt, kind, professional. X-ray technologist was knowledgeable. All staff were friendly. They were very prompt. Dr. Cottrell explained everything I needed to know concerning my ailment. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Recommend him to anyone!

Dr. William Cottrell has very little concern for patient wellbeing. His sickening arrogant demeanor is replicated by his nurse Brooke Johnson, PA-C. I requested some type of pain relief like an injection for my knee and he refused. I have received these shots several times before by Brooke in this office, and frankly she needs more training. Dr. Cottrell said that's not good for you. I will not go back and will not recommend this Physician or his assistant Brooke to anyone.

I was happy to get an appointment for my knee pain. Will be getting a second knee replacement. The Dr.was so nice and gave me all my options, at 76 I didn't want to wait to walk and dance again. So a new knee was the decision we agreed on. It was a long time on hold, 45 minutes, after 3 days of trying; for my initial appointment but hope all goes well from here! I do think the phone problem is huge in the medical field these days. They need to hire more people to man the phones! I was happy to get an appointment for my knee pain. I really love Dr Cottrell. He's absolutely a fabulous doctor. I've had a both knees replaced. As great as he is, I only gave four stars because his office is practically impossible to get a call through. I've waited on hold for at least 30-45 mins which is unacceptable. Please hire more staff.

Dr Cottrell was straight and to the point with me. Him and his office are amazing they did a thorough exam x-rays and all. the x-rays were so quick I was in and out of the doctors office in 25 minutes and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the level of service I received

Visit with Dr. Cottrell in January for painful shoulder. It has been painful for months. I wanted a cortisone shot. He refused to administer the shot. I have been in pain since. His excuse was it could cause cartilage damage over time. I am 76 over that amount of time I will be dead!!! One shot wasn’t going to do damage but it would have provided some relief. I had left shoulder issues 2 years ago and he did administer a shot then before finally operating to repair rotator cuff. The operation was successful. But this lack of compassion is not acceptable. Dr. Cottrell is phenomenal!! He spends the extra time with you to make sure you get the best care. He fully explained everything and came up with an awesome game plan for my injury. I’ve never experienced such great bedside manner with a doctor!

Brooke was great. I was in and out fairly quick for my gel shot to knee. Always willing to listen to me.

I had a complete tear of my rotator cuff. I’m not one that likes surgeries this couldn’t be avoided. I met with Dr. Cottrell and had the procedure performed. Dr Cottrell and his staff have been very professional and pleasant to work with. They truly care about your recovery and go above and beyond when you’re there. All appointments have been done in a timely manner and they work with your schedule. So if you need to have a procedure done please see if he can be your surgeon. The staff was professional, efficient, & friendly. Dr. Cottrell was a pleasure to meet. He took the time with me to hear about my injury, to order the necessary diagnostic exams, to address my concerns, & to follow up & explain the next steps in my recovery process...he was thorough, patient, professional, & caring. The only point I would like to make is the line coming into the waiting room as OAWF is a very busy office. For those with low back, hip, & lower extremity issues/injuries, it can be challenging standing in line. I had 4 people ahead of me. This was my first time in the office. I found the staff to be friendly and very efficient from the front desk all the way through to check out. Dr. Cottrell and his team were welcoming and professional, and as I left the office, I knew I had come to the right place!

Very nice and efficient staff. My daughter was seeing him for shoulder pain related to a sports injury. He took the time to ask her plenty of questions about the pain she was experiencing and went over the xrays, recomending physical therapy. She is on the shy quiet side and she felt very comfortable with him.

Dr Cattrell did a full knee replacement surgery in June of this year. And here I am 5 months later in full recovery with no pain. I was actually pain free 2 months ago. All of Dr Cattrell's staff, his PA, Brooke, and the nurses, make you feel at ease. I would recommend Dr Cattrell to anyone needing an Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Catrell is professional, caring, articulate and very efficient. I’ve met many doctors in my lifetime there aren’t many who can compare to him. I had my first visit today. And Dr. Cottrell was amazing he explained everything to me and then asked if had questions. He took my X-ray and explained everything from it so it was totally my problem that we where looking at. So much easier to learn that way and your attention stays longer. I just had a total knee replacement on my right knee.,I had the surgery on 17th June out of the hospital and home the 18th June. I am doing great. I owe that to Dr. Cottrell and Brooke his wonderful PA. They have a great staff also. Everyone listens to you and I had a major concern regarding Anesthesia. I had my left knee replacement done many years ago and in another state. I was in the hospital for a week due to complications. I explained to Dr. Cottrell and Brooke about my reaction from the last surgery and did not want a repeat. Dr. Cottrell said what he was going to do and how it will be done, and it was. He is a great Doctor with a wonderful PA , and they have a staff that communicates. I had severe right knee pain that I broke down and went to the ER for. I went ahead and scheduled an Ortho visit to follow up. I was able to get an appt 2 days out. I checked in online before arriving and had a short wait before being seen. I’m very impressed that Dr Cottrell is an Ironman finisher and a marathoner. The office environment here is comfortable and the staff friendly and professional. I had completed the check-in documents online ahead of my appointment so check-in was quick and smooth. I had arrive quite early so I had a little wait, but was taken in on time. The nurse doing the initial review with me was friendly and very professional. I was impressed with how smoothly the entire process was run. Dr Cottrell was awesome. Professional, easily understood, and great at communicating both during his assessment and then with recommendations and best path forward. He was willing to do cortisone injections but suggested that if I could manage without that would be a good way to go. Since I've been using over the counter lidocaine cream for the elbow pain and it has bee sufficient I really didn't want any injections, so I was happy he didn't push it. We discussed options and he referred me to physical therapy and clearly discussed what to expect. His clear communication, listening and responding well to my questions and concerns, and overall professional manner made this one of the best experiences possible. I highly recommend Dr. Cottrell! Very short waiting time. Front desk area is very organized and polite. X-ray department very short wait and nice technician. Dr. Cottrell was very thorough and explained my issue and suggested the best course of action.

Fantastic bedside manners and communication. Super personable and helped me develop a plan for my shoulder. @36 I was too young to get a full shoulder replacement, but Dr. Cottrell offered a few solutions to chose from as alternatives. A+++ would recommend to friends and family

Simply put, he’s the best there is for shoulder and knee issues. I wouldn’t go to anyone else for shoulder repair or Knee replacement.

This was the first time I ever had surgery and it just happened to be my right shoulder. The surgery went well and I highly recommend dr. Cottrell to anyone with shoulder problems. Dr. Cottrell was highly recommended to me by a friend and now I also highly recommend him

Dr. Cottrell was very professional and kind. He took the time to explain a variety of treatment options and reviewed the MRI of my knee with me. I myself am also a physician, and I think he is one of the best in our community.

Dr Cottrell was excellent on my rotator cuff surgery a few years ago. He has been treating my knee off and on since then. My latest visit was outstanding his staff were friendly and professional; he provided the advise I needed and the processing and procedures conducted quickly and efficiently

Not much of a wait and professional but diagnosis mostly based on xray. Would not let me talk and felt I was inconveniencing. Fastest appointment ever with someone who specializes.

had a major tear to the right rotator cuff. After the surgery and with his and his assistant Eric's help and therapy my range of motion and strength is almost 100 %
