Dr. Schooler changed my life! From fixing a botched first breast aug where I was ashamed to even show my husband, to now having breasts I can love! Through the entire process Dr. Schooler and his team were amazing! I especially loved on surgery day how comforting his wife and the whole entire team was at making sure my experience was amazing. The attention to detail and comfort day of procedure made such an impact I’ve told so many people about it. From the fuzzy slippers to wear into OR and Laurel making sure my eyelash extensions stayed intact shows what kind of team and people they are! The follow up and postop care along with education and concern is something you don’t see in physicians anymore. Dr. Schooler always took time to answer any questions I had and had a calm and reassuring demeanor at every single visit. I’m so in love with Dr. schoolers results, that I’m already thinking of the next procedure I will be having done with him! I highly recommend Dr. Schooler and his wife Laurel! I am currently an active duty military member who was seen by another local physician who did not quite give me very much information regarding my broken nose. Dr. Schooler has treated many family members and was highly recommended. I contacted his office and they fit me right in! He was very professional and took his time when examining me. He gave me more than enough information regarding my healing process. He was very efficient and extremely friendly and accommodating. I cannot thank him enough for his incredible knowledge, his timelessness, his professionalism and overall kindness. Definitely worth a drive from San Diego! Dr Schooler did my reconstruction surgery 6 years ago after having Breast Cancer and a mastectomy of my right breast. He is a perfectionist and a Fabulous plastic surgeon and I am so thankful he helped me out with 4 surgeries after another retiring Surgeoñ tried unsuccessfully to replace my breast! Thank you so much Dr Schooler for your wonderful work, any one would be very blessed to have him as their surgeon! Dr. Schooler is amazing. He is a wonderful surgeon who cares for his patients immensely. For example, without hesitation, a few weeks ago he answered my call late on a Saturday night to stitch up my finger. I was hesitant to go to the E.R. because Covid (I have a immunocompromised child at home), and Wesley was there to take care of me. Dr. Schooler & his incredible staff took wonderful care of our son who needed emergency stitches in his forehead. Dr. Schooler was meticulous with his hands & with the stitch placement. The scar is almost invisible at this point & it’s only been 2 months!! Dr. Schooler is skilled, patient, and kind. We’d highly recommend he & his staff. On a different occasion, Laurel Schooler, handled my anesthesia, and I was very impressed by her as well. She’s warm, professional, and also extremely skilled at what she does. They are a dream team! Dr. Schooler is Amazing! My 7 year old needed to have a small procedure on his face and after getting second opinions elsewhere, I’m so thankful we chose him to be his surgeon. He is so caring, attentive and so professional. I work in the medical field and I constantly hear praises about his quality of work and now I can say, in a personal level, what an amazing work he does, my son has minimal to no scarring. Laurel, his wife, was just as amazing with anesthesia, she gave my son the comfort he needed and after experiencing general anesthesia two other times, I have to say this was the best recovery my son has ever had, he woke up happy and thankful for the great work they did. I Had a Good Experience but the Effect Did Not Turn out Like I Wanted 27 Aug 2020 I am still waiting to get my follow up appointment for a prior surgery I had with this Doctor.I went into surgery with this Doctor and asked him to fix a certain aspect of my anatomy and he agreed.I then went back to him after the surgery to get it fixed and was assured he would fix it. I then contacted him to set up a date for this surgery and am still trying to work out the details with him. If we are able to work out the details I will come back and upgrade the rating to a 5 star rating.

We were lucky to have Dr. Schooler at our visit to the ER. He has a calming presence and is very well respected in the hospital. Dr. Schooler did a careful and pristine job stitching up my child during our emergency situation. I would absolutely recommend him as a Physician and skilled Plastic Surgeon.

The office was running behind at initial consultation. Dr Schooler was rushed, dropped camera & had trouble getting it to work. At one point he walked out without saying anything to us. We were interrupted by nurse, asking questions about another patient. That should have been a warning sign. Talked to nurse many times before surgery with questions. The surgery was the biggest mistake of my life. I was left with scars and the incisions were very different on each side. He was so reassuring before surgery and when it didn't turn out well he and nurse had a completely different attitude. He did not complete the surgery the way he said at consultation and made many excuses as to why he didn't.

Meetings scheduled wrong, disorganized, doctor seemed unprepared. Although I have full insurance coverage for a breast reduction I went elsewhere and paid out of pocket. Not a good experience.

Everything about this practice is chaotic. Consultation, procedure and follow up.

From the moment I walked into the door of this state of the art office and surgery suite to my post op follows up appointments I have been so grateful and felt incredibly lucky for the option they provide to have surgery here. Dr. Schooler has surpassed my expectations, from my initial consult to all follow up appointments. His bedside manner is incredible, he is so kind and listened to my concerns and addressed them, all while making me feel comfortable.My surgery went well, with no complications. I am extremely pleased with how my incision scars have healed so far, they are very thin and hidden well. He also had to work with multiple muscles in my shoulder. I have full range of motion in my shoulder, and the muscle is healing nicely. Over all, I feel that my experience in this office was fantastic, and would recommend having surgery here.

While on a camping trip with my family, I fell over a metal fire pit and sustained a compound fracture of my nose. I had a through-and-through laceration, in addition to an open wound in the middle of my nose with exposed bone. I was taken to Cottage hospital ER, where Dr. Schooler attended me on a Friday evening. He skillfully repaired the fracture and sutured the lacerations, while demonstrating excellent bed side manners. I was able to attend my cousin's wedding as a groomsman less than a week later! I am forever grateful to Dr. Schooler's expertise, and for being very kind and professional. I cannot adequately express the extent of my gratitude and respect for Dr. Schooler and his team at Santa Barbara Plastic Surgery Center in this letter. With Dr. Schooler, his level of technical skill, dedication and professionalism needed to perform surgery (in this case a clean-up and re-do of a panniculectomy), is obviously a prerequisite for a successful operation and subsequently a needed recovery. He is truly gifted by God’s hands and can perform miracles to help anyone post bariatric.

I went in for a small lump to be removed. Dr. Schooler was a kind, effective, and experienced doctor. His staff, however, are pretentious, unfriendly, and unprofessional. On one visit, I waited a full hour for a simple wound dressing after the operation that took only 5 minutes. There were no apologies. On the day of the procedure, the insurance coordinator Jill raised my cost 12.5% without a word. Later, she said to "give it time" and I "might get this back." It's been 9 months and I haven't he

This should be re-written as I've never had so much trouble getting a hold of a dr in my life! And when I do he just dismisses everything I say without even taking the time to see how my relative is doing how is that compassionate? Just because he's not the one suffering in pain.
