Wendy A Breyer

The gets frustrated with us when we ask questions. She is impatient and seems to tell us different and conflicting information each time we see her. I feel like I don’t have a clear picture of what my husbands cancer is looking like and he feels belittled by her.

Dr. Breyer treated me with respect. She answered my myriad questions. I left her office knowing that I was receiving appropriate care and advice for my situation.

Dr Breyer is extremely intelligent. I believe her knowledge and expertise as well as God's will is why I'm alive today. She always listened to me and gave me as much time as I needed when I saw her. She addressed all my cancer needs as well as all the issues and side effects caused by my treatments until she found an answer. She did not hesitate to consult others if needed when treating me. I will forever be indebted and grateful to her for all she has done for me. I'm grateful to call her my friends as well as my doctor.

Dr Breyer (Wendy) was my oncologist for 16 years. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more knowledgable and caring doctor.

Needs a refresher on bedside manner. Treated my great aunt with disrespect and contempt. Refused to take the most basic medical history and told her she was imagining her symptoms despite bloodwork and the referring physician speaking to the contrary.

I worked as a chemo nurse and then as her Patient Care Coordinator (navigator) for over 10 years. She cares fiercely about her patients and insists that their care and comfort be the utmost concern of her staff, as it is with her. She even helped start the care for my husband when his cardiologist was out of town and her instinct to order a test not usually associated with CHF literally saved his life.

Dr. Breyer took care of my son when she was in Utah. She was easy to work with and has a caring attitude. We miss her in Utah.

Stay clear of this incompetent doctor! Not only is she rude, arrogant and thinks her stuff don't stink she also is very uneducationed in her profession. I was forewarned about her and still decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. My first meeting with her was intense and I never wanted to slap someone as much as I wanted with her. When I asked about the process of my hair falling out from chemo she simply chuckled and replied "How did I know you would be worried about appearance". I decided to let that stupid comment slide and continued to ask more questions which she brushed off as non important and basically made me feel like I need to move along with the whole cancer process and treatment. A little less then 30 minutes I was told to make an appointment to have my chemo port installed and that I would start treatment same day. I had surgery to have my port installed and got my first treatment date. In the meantime I decide to see a different oncologist. Less them 2 minutes after seeing this new Dr. he advised that I not start treatment as my diagnose didn't make sense to him and my course of treatment did not seem normal for my type of cancer. After 2 additional pathology reports came back that my first report was incorrect and that yes my new Dr was correct. No chemo was needed just medication so I went back three weeks later to get my port removed. The trauma Dr. Breyer has caused me emotionally is horrible. Stay clear of this incompetent doctor! Dr Breyer is smart, very well informed, articulate, confident, candid and quite sociable. She is proffesional and calls it like she see’s it, which I really appreciate. She is careful to say only what she knows with certainty and has enough respect for her patients to say she doesn’t know unless or until she does. Wendy is an Excellent Doctor. Sometimes she does not seem to friendly because she is thinking about a patient that she wants to help. I am sure she tries not to get personally involved with patients but sometimes she does and it hurts her if they pass. She even takes work home with her.

I am happy, but surprised to see someone else had a good experience with Dr. Breyer. I have worked with some fantastic doctors in my past, both professionally and as a patient. Dr. Breyer is the most arrogant, condescending, rude and egotistical Dr. I have had the misfortune to interact with in a very long time. Please, please, if your health depends on good oncology advice, PLEASE do NOT go to Dr. Breyer. I was shocked at her rude comments, treating patients like they were idiots and that they didn't even deserve her attention. I am not writing this with the intention of retribution. I truly hope that if you read this, you will consider going somewhere else for your well being. It was truly a horrible experience, with lasting negative consequences. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Breyer. Her intellect is brilliant, and she has an efficient and caring bedside manner. She wants the very best for her patients. It is a comfort to know when seeing an oncologist, that Dr. Wendy Breyer is meticulous and thorough. Kudos to her and her staff.

Dr. Breyer is a very caring, patient and knowledgeable physician. She truly listens to you-gives you the time you need to explain things and is so nice to talk to and she gives the best advice. She takes such wonderful care and treats you with the utmost respect.

Dr. Breyer is straight forward, direct and is truly committed to providing the best possible health care and quality of life. Her focus on ensuring each patient is treated uniquely and appropriately based on individual circumstances is apparent in her staff as well as the way she interacts with all of her patients. 18 months later I am still able to move forward continue to look have her support in new and potential healthcare adjustments to extend the longevity of my life.
