I saw Wendy for two visits, and my first time to a chiropractor. While my visit was good and I had a positive experience with her, I will not be returning to see her because of billing issues with Tuality. I have a covered CHP benefit through Kaiser and she is an approved practitioner through my benefit. I received a bill for $268 for a visit in May at the end of July. I called Tuality to discuss this bill and she suggested I reach out to Kaiser, which I did and realized since it was a self referral that they need to bill CHP instead. I called Tuality back and explained my situation and she said she would bill CHP Group at the address I provided. I receive a call 2 days later saying that my claim was denied, asked if they billed the CHP group and she said no because it would most likely be denied. I explained to that woman that I just spoke with someone two days prior and that was the situation. The woman, Maria, from the billing department was unhelpful and argumentative. I asked her to please just bill them and if it gets denied I will cross that bridge when we get there but that she needs to go through with the billing. This has been an extremely stressful situation and I will not be returning to deal with this billing disaster again. To top it off, a colleague with different insurance had the same issue with the Tuality billing group for this chiropractor. I saw Wendy for two visits, and my first time to a chiropractor.
