Dr. Wei Fan Chen

He's rude and arrogant and his demeanor made me feel very uncomfortable in that room.

Dr. Chen didn't give me a lot of say in the surgery he did on me. It was not what I wanted.

Dr. Chen may not have a bedside manner but he is an excellent plastic surgeon. I had a breast reduction a year ago and he did a superb job. My breasts look about 50 years younger than me! Each breast same size and nipple placement right on the money. I am so satisfied.

His poor communication skills resulted in an outcome contrary to what I wanted.

There is no question in my mind that the negative reviews left here were left by the same person and that the person never had a consult with Dr. Chen. It could be professional jealousy and written by someone associated with a surgeon who is losing business because of Dr. Chen. In any event, you could not ask for a more passionate, compassionate, understanding, skilled, respectful and interested surgeon. I was treated by Dr. Chen and he exhibited the height of professionalism in everything that he did. He took time, he listened, and he communicated beautifully. With Dr. Chen it is a perfect collaboration between doctor and patient. He answers every question a patient may have and gives his opinion, but he recognizes and respects that the final decision rests with the patient. I think that the only mistake a patient could make would be NOT to go to Dr. Chen. Again, it is so sad that in this world professional jealousy sometimes causes people to act in an underhanded manner.

Dr Chen and his team are wonderful! I'm so grateful for having the chance to get my lymphedema under control. My hand and wrist became skinner right away and I can now feel my forearm bone without pitting. Dr Chen is truly one of the kind! He always takes all the time needed to explain and answer questions. When I think of Dr. Chen, the first word that comes to my mind is "gratitude". I will never be able to thank Dr. Chen for what he have done for me. He genuinely cares about his patients and full of energy and passionate about helping lymphedema patients. I had a wonderful experience and surgery outcomes with Dr. Chen! Highly recommend Dr .Chen and his team!!!

Dr.Chen has terrible communication skills!! He has terrible bedside manner and I was uncomfortable being in a room with him. He was arrogant and disrespectful. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone!! Please don’t waste your time going to him.

In general, I believe he is quite good at what he does. I went in wanting a breast augmentation with implants. He said I was a great candidate for a fat transfer that would take fat from my stomach and inject it into my breasts. He said I would achieve the size I wanted with a completely natural feel without the hassle of replacements that implants require. After the surgery my breasts were barely any larger. He said he ran out of fat. So now I've spent over $5,000 with virtually no results.

I typically do not fill out surveys, but could not pass at the opportunity with expressing my gratitude and satisfaction with Dr. Chen and his staff. His level of expertise, professionalism, and respect for my medical care was above and beyond anything I could have expected. I highly recommend him, and, if I were looking to do another elective surgery, I would entrust my life in his hands, as I had the first time.
