I’ve seen Dr Amari a couple of times. Still trying to experiment to find the best meds. I’m in pain but was told to hang on until my appointment in September. Not happy

I am very blessed to have such a caring and supportive Specialist. The whole staff is welcoming also, I feel like family! Thank you

I Love Dr. Amari she is the best. She have been my doctor for several years. She is very empathetic and compassionate. I am almost pain free when I follow her instructions.

Sorry to say I did not have an excellent experience with Dr. Amari as some seem to have had. I could have gotten the same information from my primary. She was only interested in referring me out to other BS&W specialists rather than attempt treatment herself. Can not recommend.

Dr amari is fantastic, if I need her she calls back no later than next morning but usually that day.

I have had several different rheumatologists in Dr Amari is the absolute best I have dealt with.

Dr. Amari has been my Rheumatologist for three years. The reason why I gave her the one star was because she did diagnose me but it was downhill from there. Her bedside manner is rushed with me and she does not like to fill out ANY paperwork or forms you request. I was denied disability because she never sent my medical records or filled out the proper paperwork for me. When I emailed her to ask for her to send the paperwork, she would get upset. Now I’m in an appeal process and have asked her to wrote a letter on my behalf. Her response was “I’ve already filled out forms and spoken with your disability department. I’ve done all I can do...sorry.” No compassion at all. I wouldn’t recommend her to my worst enemy. She is by far the worst doctor I’ve ever been to.

Great doctor. Very empathetic. She should teach a course on empathy at UT Southwestern. Very knowledgable. Always answers my questions via the portal. I couldn't ask for a better rheumatologist . . . and, oh, that gorgeous smile . . .

She should teach a course in empathy to medical students at UT Southwestern. She is a great doctor, very compassionate . . . and that killer smile of hers.

I have gone to her for years and always found her kind, knowledgeable and professional. Highest marks!

The worst doctor I have ever had. I went to get in a Lupus flare and she refused to treat me. She told me I had to wait. Two days later I ended up in the emergency room. The ER did not want to treat Lupus because it is considered a non-emergency. However I had a severe headache and could not breathe. I called Dr. Amari and please asked for help. She refused and told me I had to wait 3 weeks until my next appointment. I went to my General doctor still unable to breathe. She told me the same thing the ER said. I called Dr. Amari again. This time I asked for a referral to an ENT. My breathing, headaches, blood pressure, and swelling were all worse. She refused to give me a referral or see me herself. When my appointment happened three weeks later my lymnod were so swollen I could barely speak. She became angry with me and dropped me as a patient. When I asked her please not to she did anyway. Very approachable and listens to my issues and concerns. Takes time to explain and discuss .

Dr. Amari is extremely thorough and a very caring empathetic doctor. I consider myself very blessed and fortunate to be a new patient in her office. She is extremely knowledgeable and considers all possibilities when deciding the best course of action for your individual health situation. I have absolutely no negative comments or concerns, I only hope she doesn't close her practice or retire! LOL..please read all of the post if you didnt understand that! ???? I don't see Dr. Amari anymore due to insurance changes, but I saw her for a few years and she's wonderful. Wish I could still see her. Approachable & kind, provides good information to leave with, answers all your questions, and takes care of your concerns and her concerns. She's wants to see you get better and maintain your health. Great, friendly, and very professional doctor. She has treated me for a couple years for my RA and I hope I never have to switch. She takes care of my needs promptly and trusts my experience with my condition. She is directly involved in my care. She doesn't pass on everything to the nurse, though the nurse(s) and everyone else have always been great too. Makes sure I have the medications and refills I need according to my treatment and new symptoms.

Dr. Amari is very patient and caring. And she is very smart about her diagnosis.

I have seen several doctors regarding my arthritic problems and I can honestly say that I have not felt comfortable with any of them as much as I do with Dr. Amari. She is a caring, concerned, and approachable doctor. The last rheumatologist I was seeing did not posess a very good bedside manner. I was actually afraid to tell him how much pain I was in some times because he acted as if it annoyed him. When I discuss my pain levels and areas of concern with Dr. Amari she is looking me in the eye and truly listening. It is hard getting in to see her but once you get the first appointment everything is easier. If you need a really good Rheumatologist you cannot go wrong with Dr. Amari! Dr. Amari is AMAZING. My hubby has to see her for gout. She was concerned it was R.A. at first. But quickly ruled it out. She's on top of things and knows what she's doing. She has great bedside manner and is always willing to answer question. She's even come out front and got us because her nurse was busy. She could have just let us set there until the nurse was free. But she did not. We drive 30+ minutes to get to her office, passing many others. That speaks for itself.

She was very warm and friendly. She called me personally twice.
