Amazing from start to finish

Got all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Schultz and am so happy I did. I’d been holding off due to some bad advice from a prior dentist, but Dr. Schultz managed to do the removal quickly and seamlessly. I’m about three days into my recovery and though there’s some pain (obviously! it’s surgery!), my gums stopped bleeding after a day and half and I can feel everything healing much quicker than I anticipated. Dr. Schultz and his assistant did an awesome job and overall I’d advise anyone to give them a visit for their dental needs! I had a bad experience here. I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Wade Schultz. The procedure went really well. I had very little pain, and not very much bleeding. I recovered quicker than I thought I would. I was initially happy. When I got the bill, several months later, the amount I owed was $1400. Before the procedure they had looked into my insurance and told me the cost to me would be estimated at $512. After getting the bill, they told me that estimate was not an actual pre-qualification through my insurance and they wouldn't take responsibility for the price they told me. They either didn't look into my insurance, or told me a low number to sell the procedure. I find out my insurance was out-of-network, so it only covered about $300 of the cost. I had assumed they checked that my insurance was in-network when I trusted their estimate based on my current coverage. I went to them in person several times to work this out, inquire how this happened, ask for them to stand by their mistake/dishonesty, and ultimately express my dissatisfaction. I got several different answers as to how this happened: that the estimate was only an estimate, how could they really know about my insurance, and ultimately they didn't budge an inch. I sensed a real loathing for me even though I was kind to them. The only reason I had the procedure done was that I would soon be loosing my insurance and wanted to have it done while I was still covered. Otherwise I never would have done it. I was going through a divorce and didn't have the money to pay so I had to make payments for 8 months. Just finished paying it off. Staff was amazing, my dental implant was placed precisely, by a trusted surgeon, it was a painless procedure and I have excellent results. I would recommend Dr. Schultz, Sheboygan Oral Surgery, to all my family and friends.

Just shattered my tooth today and after visiting the dentist, he referred me to Dr. Schultz. He was awesome! He got me in right away and he and his assistants (especially Jan) not only took excellent and attentive care of me, but answered every question I had and gave a very thorough explanation of all of the options available to me. A great overall experience considering one typically never wants to go to an oral surgeon! Highly recommended.
