Arrived at office 30 minutes before my appointment time, waited in line for another 20 minutes just to let them know I was there. Once taken back to see the doctor I was instructed to put a hospital gown since it was my first visit with the doctor and needed to take x-rays as well. Thinking i was going to the room to get my x-rays done was told to sit out in the open waiting room with people who were coming in from the outside fully dressed while I sat there with just a gown and socks on in the open. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate.

Doctor Hume listened to all my thoughts, questions and concerns and discussed future procedures to address not only these concerns but solutions and possible treatments on todays issues

Everyone was knowledgeable and professionally. Service was great.

He kept me on a highly addictive opioid for 10 years…then one day decided to stop prescribing this medication to me. The more concerning part is that he gave me no guidance in terms of battling the withdrawals. I’m 83 years old. Stay away from this doctor!

The absolute WORST "pain management" doctor. He put my mother on a highly addictive drug after a hip replacement 10 years ago....continued to prescribe for 10 years and then one day decided to not prescribe anymore (he was about 9 years too late). The worst part is he gave her no guidance in terms of how to manage the inevitable withdrawals. She ended up in the ER and is now trying to deal with this on her own. Stay away from this guy!!! And from OrthoIndy!!!!!!!

The Doctor didn't order a MRI for me. Also, the electronic submission of the prescription was done incorrectly. CVS Pharmacy never received it even though it was done before end of business hours on a Friday.

In 3 months, the man never examined me but asked me questions. Ordered MRI and didn’t tell me results (had nurse do it until I insisted), never discussed what the problems were or had an action plan. Gave me an epidural which did not solve problems. Almost no interaction, dismissive, perfunctory, despite my effort to make this informative. I am beyond disgusted and have changed doctors to someone in the Spine Center at IU North. I have also asked to speak to the patient rep at OrthoIndy about my experience.

I saw Dr Hume for my ongoing back pain. I have reached a point where I can no longer function like this. Dr Hume was very attentive and listened to all I wanted to tell him. He had several options for me to consider and explained them thoroughly. I liked Dr Hume's manner and and knowledge.

A nightmare. Tear in rotator cuff,cervical pinched nerve, zero pain managment. Never again.

Knowledgeable, kind and listened to my concerns. As a fellow physician I have my choice of where to go and I would highly recommend both him and his office.

I felt Dr. Hume was very capable of helping me find a solution to my back problems. He was very patient and most importantly to me I did not feel I was being rushed through to make room for the next patient like I do at Dr. John welch's office, my family physician, in Terre Haute.

Do not use Ortho Indy Dr. Hume! Father having procedure for horrific back pain, has been on pain meds for 12 years. He has not played down in 5 weeks, went off blood thinners for this! My Father asked to please switch his meds around or something different for pain. Dr. Humes response.."you will need an appointment with my office to get a perscription" really? A so called pain management Dr. That Cant write a Prescription of a 73 year old man with blown L2 and L3 and has not abused meds and has been long time patient! Pathetic! Would not give my Father anything just to relax him so he could lay down for procedure! Rating this so called Dr a 1 is more than he deserves! Do not use Ortho Indy Dr. Hume! I was having severe pain in my left leg so Dr. Hume was recommended by my Dr. Dr. Hume was excellent. His assessment found the problem and I am on the road to recovery. He was very thoughtful and caring throughout the entire process.

I was very impressed with the care from Dr. Hume while trying to address my issue. After several procedures with very little success, Dr. Hume has referred me to another specialist. I love Dr. Hume. He's patient, he listens, and he explains. He doesn't give up trying to help with chronic pain.
