I had ACDF fusion surgery at two levels, C4-C5 and C5-C-6 in March 2022. I was very nervous about the procedure. Dr. Mehta set my mind at ease and explained everything to me. I felt very comfortable with him right away. He explained all the details and what to expect which is important to me because I am a detail obsessed anxious person. When surgery was over and I woke up, I woke up to my symptoms gone, no numbness in my hands, no pain! It was like a miracle. The team of nurses was wonderful! The bonus was that he made minimal incision in a place where I already had a neck crease and used surgical tape with no stiches. I will not have a scar, if barely. I have seen others that have had this surgery and look like they have a Frankenstein scar...he really cares about his patients looking good on the outside, not just the inside!! He came and checked on me the next day and was and has always been so kind to me. I cannot recommend him enough. This surgery saved my life.

I had a lumbar laminectomy on 3/18/22 with Dr. Mehta. Prior to the surgery he was very professional in our appointments also very realistic about the potential risks and the benefits of the surgery. I had never had any medical procedure as serious as this, so I was anxious and very cynical about my chances. Dr. Mehta and his team allayed my fears and performed the surgery with no problems or complications. After one night in the hospital I came home and began my recovery. 8 weeks later I am feeling better than I have in years. I have another month of recovery and I will start physical therapy soon, so I'm far from healed. But for now, to be without constant pain, I would have to say my experience was literally life-changing.

He was very thorough on the procedures before the Cervical Spine surgery. The surgery went great with no issues. He made sure everything is ok before I left the hospital. Kaiser hospital staff were very nice and respectful with the service. After a month he had me scheduled a X-ray and results were fine. After three months, he will schedule a therapy. He was also very thorough after the procedure.

I am so grateful to Dr Mehta and the care he gave me before and after my surgery. Dr . Mehta explained everything in detail regarding removal of my Intradural extramedullary thoracic schwannoma. Dr. Mehta was patient with all my questions and concerns, empathetic and kind. I will forever be thankful to Dr. Mehta for the successful thoracic schwannoma removal of my tumor. He is an excellent neurosurgeon and I highly recommend him.

Every step of the way was like pulling teeth and being slapped around by this nasty physician. He took the MRI image that served his agenda which was to do nothing. He used that single image to say that there was nothing wrong when every other image of the MRI showed catastrophic problems. Then he gaslit me into believing there was nothing wrong when everything is wrong. Inability to walk, dizzy, weak leg, pain, lack of control of lower limbs, wobbling… etc. There are real physical problems and the MRI images reveal the symptoms have real physical reasons for existing. He has no respect for the patient’s needs, pain, and what he can do. Not having the support of a doctor for real physical problems leads to emotional distress, hopelessness and helplessness which effects mind function and spirit that doesn’t cease 24/7. He is an absolute criminal. He is doing massive damage to people on a daily basis. The one star reviews are accurate. The 5 star ones must be for someone else.

I had an undiagnosed herniation for almost 6 months before a Kaiser doctor found it. Those months were he11, the damage creating muscular impulse and twitching from the left back side of my shoulder blade, eventually including the left tricep, forearm and then tingling in the fingertips. About 10yrs ago, Dr. Mehta operated on my 6th cervical, which was described by another doctor as "the worst herniation I'd ever seen." Dr. Mehta spoke to me and my wife about the risks of such operations and fully prepared us. I accepted the risks, and am SO glad that I chose him. Scarring was at a minimum, hardly noticeable, and recovery was better than expected, allowing me almost complete natural motion of my neck. He was a young man of 39yrs at the time, and to this day I think of him from time to time, so happy with the results and the end to my suffering that he brought me.

I have been suffering with severe back and neck pain that radiates down my arms and legs. I also have numbness and tingling in my feet. When the doctor finally called me for my appt. which he was 2 hrs late for, he tells me “I don’t know why I’m talking to you, I’m just do the cutting, but I can’t help you and don’t know why ur in pain”. I was in tears... he then offered to send email over to my primary and recommend high and long term doses of steroids and pain meds. When I asked him why would I need those if you see nothing wrong, he cut me off and said “ contact your doctors, they can help you. So here I am still in severe pain and can hardly live life normal all because of this incompetent doctor! I am waiting to get seen by another doctor who hopefully can help me! This many shouldn’t be a doctor, has no care compassion or bedside manner!

This doctor I would not let him examin a dead plant! He has cancelled the operation 5 times and has no consideration for no one but himself. He is unprofessional and rude he scared my mother saying if she didn’t have the surgery within the year she would lose strength in her arms and will lose ability to walk. Yet he has postponed the surgery for almost a year ... he is descusting In his mannerisms and will be looking to push forward to speak to the medical board to have his license evaluated.

Went to see Dr. Mehta in office basically told my son he had no other choice but surgery. to remove a 10mm disc, we asked if physical therapy would be an option, they had been calling to schedule he told us NO. Now my son in the hospital and he basically called me and my son liars said he never said no to physical Therapy. He has no integrity and is rude, unprofessional with no true compassion or bed side manner. His nurse makes you turn your phone off during visits so you don't record he's lies

From consultation, to surgery, and after care. Dr. Mehta was an excellent doctor. His professionalism, and attention to detail is amazing. He works closely with the surgery team and has the utmost respect from nurses and other staff.

I am VERY unsatisfied and would NOT recommend this doctor. He did not listen to what I was saying I left frustrated and upset.
