Always very thorough and takes time to answer any questions I have and as always office staff was very nice and pleasant!

Spent months in physical therapy with only minor relief. Bone and joint docs were no help either. Dr Mendoza accurately diagnosed disc problems in my back and ordered an MRI which verified his suspicion. One injection and continued treatment and I've been active and pain free years since. I thought I would never be active again now I jog and play racquetball. I highly recommend Dr Mendoza; he knows what he's doing.

Upon getting a procedure done around my neck I have had some major bad migraines but since getting the procedure done I have not had any migraines so I am sooo grateful I had it done. Just updating my last review to say I’m still very pleased with the care Dr. Mendoza gives. I’ve been a regular patient for a couple of years now and I couldn’t recommend a better doctor. He is very good at what he does. I’ve had doctors all over the world including some of the best in NYC and he is hands down the BEST. The remainder of this review was posted during my first year. They don't think the patients time is worth anything. Was left on hold for over 45 minutes and they picked up the phone and hung up

I made an appointment online and received an email confirming it and when I get there from across town, they tell me, "I don't know why they don't fix that, you can't make an appointment online. So, I say, "so, I don't have an appointment?" No, with no apologies, no let's see if we can work you in, nothing. While speaking with a very uncaring woman on the phone in an attempt to find out if seeing a pain management specialist after complications from a recent surgery would be the right coarse of action, she just placed me on hold mid-sentence without warning. Very rude and not caring doctor. Had serval sets of injections done at this place and they made my pain worse. When I talk to the dr about it he didn’t have an answer for my pain and said it wasn’t from the injections but I wasn’t having this type of pain before. Also he told me to find another dr because if you don’t do injections he won’t write medicine. I believe this is his personal rule just to make money off of people. Horrible wait time. I had set an appt 1 month back. I arrive on time and am told that I do not have an appt. I was told that the Dr can choose who he takes on as ne patients. I am okay with that, but not being told. I waited almost an entire month to see a pain management specialist. That should have told me that I was not going to be seen so I could look for a different Dr. Now I have to start from scratch and get put on the bottom of another waiting list. After suffering pain for many years and seeing a couple of doctors that had only one form of pain relief, I found Dr. Mendoza. He listens!!! He offers other methods of pain relief and he makes you feel like all hope is not lost. He wants feedback and works until the right combination is found. When I first contacted their practice I was told they don't take everyone. I had my last practice fax my record to their office. They then called me and said everything looked good and we set up a time for an appointment. About two hours before my appointment they called me and said they were canceling my appointment. Apparently they didn't feel that I was "worthy" and basically told me to get lost. No explanation just told me to get lost. I guess if you are one of the "lucky" ones they will accept you as a patient.

After having undergone 7 back operations and having a top grade pain management team in Indianapolis I moved to Birmingham. After jumping through their hoops and having my records sent to Vulcan I was called two hours before my appt. and told they wouldn't treat me. With my second visit I had a pain block done. I was a little weary of being awake during the procedure. My worries were eased after the procedure. Being awake and alert during the procedure helps him pinpoint the exact pain location, unlike the ones where they put you under local anesthesia and they just inject in a general area. I normally hate going to any doctor. I always felt they swept what i said under the rug they never took time to understand my issues. Not Dr. Mendoza, he wants to know about you and what you are experiencing. He actually listens and has this very calm personality that in return makes you calm. I have degenerative disc disease, with two bulging discs. I suffered with pain everyday for many years. I began seeing Dr Mendoza for this diagnosis alone. Early in my treatment with Dr. Mendoza, I was involved in an automobile accident and suffered whiplash and worsening lower back pain. I had several fassett injections in my neck and lower spine over several months and also did a few months of PT. I am currently experiencing days where I am pain free throughout the entire day and I am sleeping throughout the entire night without waking in pain. Freedom from pain is something I haven't experienced in years. I cannot say enough about Dr. Mendoza. His knowledge, experience and expertise all worked together to give me an amazing gift. Dr Mendoza takes time with me to explain what he thinks will be the best treatment and why. At first the thought of having injections in or around my spine caused me some anxiety. But during the injections he explains what he is doing and asks about my pain level. He talks me through the entire procedure. I have complete confidence in his abilities and I trust Dr Mendoza. Dr Mendoza began treating me after a car accident. Following his course of treatment, I had a significant improvement in my pain level almost immediately. He always takes the time to speak with me at every visit. He listens to me and answers any questions I may have. He is very informative.
