Dr. Umadevi Muthyala

A good Endo is hard to find. I believe in giving everyone a chance. Honestly, my first impression wasn’t a good one and I’ve now learned from that. She’s a very “by the labs only style Endo.” It’s basically her way or the highway! She gets irritated if you dare ask for labs that she didn’t bother to order, she has no personality, and when she makes a mistake she will not own up to it or fix it! I’m like I will only have to see her every 3 months, it’s COVID and her location was 10 minutes away, so I hung in there. Worst mistake ever!!! She takes over 3-4 days to reply to portal messages,which included medical questions and prescription refill requests. If you inquire about anything new like medications seen on commercials she will tell you to stop Googling! Same reaction if you are active in support groups. I was very offended by her unprofessional remark! This is my personal experience with her and it was awful. I still have bad anxiety when discussing her. I’m sharing this review because I pray no sick patient ever has to be bullied or ignored by her… She’s just rude and on my sickest day her treatment towards me was horrible! She didn’t even fully examine me! The only thing she asked me to do was inhale and exhale 3 times. Thyroid patients knows she missed a lot more. I’ve never in my life ever been treated so poorly. It broke my heart, but I’m on the road to recovery now with a new specialist.

Very kind and patient. She listens and responds to any questions and/or concerns that I may have. She genuinely cares about the health and well-being if her patients.

I have been going to Dr. Muthyala for 6 years and have found her to be very caring and knowledgeable in her fields. In all my visits she has taken time to listens to my health concerns and answered my questions clearly. She is vigilant and requests test as needed. I admire her attentiveness in following up with what is going on with me. I would highly recommend her for her expertise in her field.

I have been seeing her since 2016. Dr Muthyala help me to get control of my diabetes using an insulin regimen. a1c went from 7.8 to 6.5 . The visits helped me to adjust my habits to reduce my sugars and adopt better habits. I recommend her to anyone who needs help.

The doctor is informative and genuinely care for the patients health and well-being. Also, has an open ear to any circumstance from medical to everyday musings of daily life.

I visited Dr. Mutheyla office for an appointment. While the Dr. Is very good at explaining everything an open to trying new things in order to treat your medical condition. The wait for the doctor is not long with appointment. However, the lab staff in the office is super slow. You are better off getting a lab form and going to lab Corp. Dr. Mutheyla can see about 3 patients and give a good evaluation before you give blood. I visited Dr. Mutheyla office for an appointment. I love Dr. Muthyala! I’ve had Hashimotos for a long time and had many different Endocrinologist. She by far has been the most understanding patient doctor with all my questions and has always explained everything in a way that I understand. She feel more like a friend that cares about my health. I’m so fortunate to have found her as she is by far the best Endocrinologist I’ve ever had!

She found out I had Cushings disease which is a rare disease during the first visit itself. I am very happy and pleased with her.

Yes I will.Dr. Muthyala is a great and honest doctor. . . She is very patient & ex plaint everything very carefully. . .I have worked down my diabetics from AC 1 7.2 to 6.0 everything without med. . . .Thank you Dr. Muthyala .... I do some sport & count the carps . . .yes you can do that . . .

Very professional and understanding. You can tell she has the patient's well being, work flow and everyday life in mind as she maps out a plan to improve your health. I recommend her to anyone who is serious about getting on the right track.

It all went downhill before my second visit. Long story short due to character limits, the final straw was receiving my test results in the mail with a comment attached by her about how my blood sugars were worse than an earlier test. They weren't, and on calling the office to clarify I was told by the nurse that the Dr didn't even look at my records, which did indeed indicate over 3 points of improvement on my original appalling A1C. Dropped this dr immediately for unprofessional behavior.

She explained things in a way that made sense to me. Didn't belittle me or make me feel bad for having what most people would call a self inflicted disease (type 2). She was a little bit difficult to understand, given the accent. Scheduling was a little bit more difficult than I felt like was necessary. They wanted me to come in same day, which wasn't possible, so I had to wait an entire week for an appointment.
