I have seen Dr. DeSilva several times. I've always waited at LEAST an hour after my appointment time to see him. Usually it's more like two hours. He gave me epidural injections about six months ago. I got no relief from them. During the next several appointments he said he would try again, but never set it up. I added my elbow to the mix, I have tennis elbow and wanted him to do something about it. But he had to review the x-rays my primary doc ordered. He never reviewed them. I waited and waited to hear from his office, and finally I called them. They had no notes about setting up injections for either my back or my elbow. He is barely there during our visits, he asks the same questions each time, when the answers should be in my chart. He just runs in, looks at my chart updates my prescription and sends me on my way. I'm supposed to return in a month for another prescription. He is not treating, he is medicating. I'm going to another doctor!

It bothers me to leave feedback like this but I say good thing when warranted and the opposite when also warranted. I have chosen lidocaine patches for pain relief with approval from the Dr. I've tried three times in just over two weeks that these patches have been requested with the same results: Request completely ignored I have had to buy the OTC type patches (not as good and expensive to go this route) for the amount needed. Whenever I ask the pharmacist: same reply...they have not responded. Now I'll have to find a Dr that has compassion for the pain I suffer from. Yes it's my decision to treat my pain in this manner, but if the doctor refuses to treat me he should have the respect as I had for him before, to tell me. The shots only worked for close to 2 months leaving me in dire pain for over a month. I apologize for the length of this, but wanted it known I tried. I've been seeing Dr DaSilva for almost 4 years, he and his staff are the nicest people I have ever met. Dr DaSilva really cares about his clients and their needs. The epidural injections I had in my back gave me over a year of no back pain. His staff are amazing. Dr DaSilva treats you like a human being and seems to really listen and care about your concerns. Your not just a number, or money order prescription, this Dr really cares. Average wait time 10-15 minutes. You can't beat That! I have seen several pain management doctors after my back surgery. And not one had any success in helping me with my pain. Most would just prescribed more meds. Dr. DeSilva is the only one that truly listened to my wife and I. And the only Doctor who helped reduced my pain.
