About Tracey C Cawthorn
Reviews for Tracey C Cawthorn
I have been with Dr Cawthorn going on 2 years, When I started I had extreme depression, I was abusing alcohol and attempted suicide at one point. I was in such a dark place and finally decided I needed to get help. I must say I have never have had a doctor care for me as much as she has. She makes every attempt to make sure I am doing ok. Every time we have our appointment she listens to me and sometimes I share what is going on in my life because she takes the time to get to know her patients and also makes me feel comfortable. She recently moved to a new office and I followed her over because I am not going to find another psychiatrist like her. I am very grateful to have found her. Highly recommend her.

Today I saw Dr Hawthorn on telehealth and she is just as attentive as she is in office visits. She listened carefully to my concerns so that I don't feel rushed. She is very helpful in her explanation of my medications and how I am to take them. I always leave her feeling that I have been taking care of. Highly recommend her.
Dr. Cawthorn is the most wonderful psychiatrist that I have ever seen. She listens to needs with full attention and compassion. She has gone through her own trials with life, and I have never faced any judgment from her. She has immense emotional intelligence and continues to retain a broad knowledge of medicine. My life has changed after meeting her. I hope she continues to help others for many years to come.

Doesn’t deserve to be called a doctor. Has a terrible personality. Is NEVER on time, environment was disgusting and dirty. (She smelled too) I feel sorry for her other patients. Recently got terminated for no reason. But when your psychiatrist mocks you & never refills your prescription, it’s better than way. Also has doctor god syndrome. Tracey is a horrible human being.
Dr. Cawthorn was very attentive in her listening , she made me feel very comfortable and supported. She provided great feedback and coping options. I never felt rushed or like I was just another patient.
I have been to numerous (5+) psychiatrists in my life and never have I met anyone a bigger disgrace to the profession than Dr Cawthorn. I understand that many psychiatrists become apathetic to their patients as a result of burnout. Dr Cawthorn, however, was far worse than just apathetic. I felt like a nuisance and as if I was being looked down upon the entire time. When she pretended to listen her face was almost laughably insincere. I don’t ever leave reviews like this for anything, but when it comes to something as important as a psychiatrist, I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t say anything. The only time I ever felt empathy in her office was the day she had a student with her. Dr Cawthorn was getting frustrated/angry with me as I was “saying the same things over and over”. Once she left, the student handed me tissues (as I was crying) and apologized on her behalf. Please don’t send your loved ones or yourself to her. It saved my life to leave. I am far happier under other care.
Dr Cawthorn is exactly who I needed to see! She was engaging, attentive and empathetic. My anxiety was gone within minutes and I felt she was someone I could confide in without being rebuked. She let me talk but interjected when needed. I wasn't sure what I needed in a Psychiatrist but I can tell you she is it! She wasn't pushy but led me to what I could do in my situation. - Carl The patient)
Dr. Cawthorn is a deeply compassionate and caring physician that has helped me to turn my life around with just a few short visits. I felt like she really listened to me, addressed my concerns, and then helped me to implement a plan that has reversed suicidal ideation and a long-standing problem with anxiety and depression over a relatively short time period (3-6 months). She is a great psychiatrist and I am so grateful to have met her.
On Feb 14 my niece was seen by Tracey Cawthorn upon recommendation of a fellow peer. The visit was minimally therapeutic, allegedly: cathartic in nature, non empathetic, non- engaging, Medication was prescribed with instructions to increase the dosage after specified time. However my niece began to display untoward behaviors. Several calls were made to the MD's listed contact number on Feb 27-28 for direction. No return calls were received even to date. My niece was taken to and admitted to an in patient facility and remained for one week. This doctor demonstrates neither concern for nor interest in providing post office intervention with her patients. Her oath to DO NO HARM is seen as non binding or of importance to her or to the staff who intercept calls made after hours. I would NOT recommend her to a human or a dog. She is a detriment to the medical field, particularly patients with mental health issues.
She has no clue what she is doing. Likes to be in control when she wants to prescribe medication; knowing your running out.
Rude. Canât believe sheâs a doctor. Not sure why she practices medicine if she refuses to write medication when your running out. Her thing is all about control. Donât waste your time she still acts like a disgruntled teenager. Her focus is about her never the patient. Donât trust her medical advice. Questionable if she actually went to school.
This is one of the most unprofessional doctors I’ve ever had the displeasure to meet. Tracey is incredibly impersonal, condescending, and tone deaf. Not only was she half an hour late for our session, she was texting on her phone the entire session and kept getting confused because she wasn’t listening. In addition, her staff were just as rude and passive aggressive as she was. I highly advise you to seek help elsewhere, as this “professional” will berate you for an hour and charge you for it.
Saw me once, I spoke w a med student as she herself played on her phone never once looking up or commenting, finally looks up, told me I’m not really mentally ill but that I have DID & essentially just made up everything I just related. Began to txt more & complain that her kid forgot to take chicken out of the freezer. Pulled me off all my psych meds told me to come back in 2 months. Saw her again & she didn’t mention the DID she diagnosed me w previously, just told me that my hallucinations & paranoia aren’t real. I asked why she feels that way & she said “Ur able at times to somewhat recognize that u are hallucinating. That means ur not really ever hallucinating” then just stared at me. Realizing this is going nowhere I just smiled & left. Then she cancelled my next appointment & ignored me for over a month, called today & I guess she doesn’t work there anymore. She also called my previous psychiatrist FOUR times, can’t think of a professional reason 2do that other than to gossip
