Dr. Rahul Raghu, MD at East Bay Eye Center is simply the best. I simply cannot say enough about how caring, professional and nice this doctor and the whole staff is. My vision is now 20/20 in both eyes. One simply does not notice the deterioration of your own eye site. Now with the cataracts removed and the new lenses in place, the world is a vibrant, colorful, beautiful place. You forget how blue the sky is. Now I remember. I look at it every day. Thank you Dr. Raghu!

Office is VERY disorganized as the other reviewers said. Called twice to try get an appointment and no one has gotten back to me.

Very disappointed by inefficient front staff; have been trying to schedule my yearly appointment for last 2 weeks and called them several times, left messages. Once they confirmed to get back to me in 24 hours with options but no one called me back. I like the doctor and that's why I am sticking otherwise i would have moved to other center, which provides quality service and respects patient's time. I am usually quite nervous when I visit doctors, but Dr. Severin’s communication and calm manner gives me confidence. He patiently listens to my concerns about my eyes and explains possible solutions. His staff is warm, caring, and friendly making you feel like you are a part of their family. After a lengthy and very frustrating experience with a different eye care facility, I saw Dr. Edward Laubach at East Bay Eye Center. Dr. Laubach listened carefully to my concerns, reviewed the documents that I provided him, and performed a very thorough and comprehensive evaluation. I give him high marks for professionalism and skill.

I had a great experience in this eye hospital. The staff are very friendly. They made the eye test process smooth and easy. The eye doctor was very good in narrowing down the root cause of the issue.

I’m on the young(er) side to be battling with glaucoma. After years at other practices, I am so happy to have found Dr. Severin and his friendly, caring staff. Still battling, but I know I am in good hands. Perhaps just as important as the capable and knowledgeable doctors and technicians is knowing that I’ve got a team of people that care. My wife has been a patient for over 6 years. She had a very successful cataract surgery performed by Dr. Severin (son) and is still to date under his ongoing care. My eye care specialist passed away and I started with this new eye center. I am very pleased with all the services and professionalism of everyone there.

He has done both cataract and glaucoma surgeries on me and all surgeries were successful with no negative outcomes. He is a very warm and caring doctor who listens to his patients. They may be good doctors but they are very poor in returning calls. I left two VM's with my phone number. Till date, those VM's have not been returned. When I inquired with the front office I do not get a satisfactory reply. Being eye doctors, it is important that they understand the urgency of a VM

After I finally was put in an exam room, I waited an hour for the doctor to walk in. That is unreasonable.

Best eye place I have been in over 10 years in the Bay Area. Especially recommend if you are 50+, and need to be treated with compassion and extra care we deserve. Super competent docs and super cordial supporting staff. I was made to believe I had glaucoma at Lens Crafters, then at Dr Tanaka's office in Oakland. It was an error in how they applied the Visual Field test. They repeated the test several times (15-20 mins at a time) and said I kept failing. East Bay Eye Center of Dr Severin's (my doctor was Dr. Werner, a super competent and experienced gentleman) discovered right away that I was too near sighted to take the test with bare eyes. With lenses on, I passed with flying colors. Thanks to the East Bay Eye Center in San Ramon, I now know I don't have glaucoma after 2 yrs of believing otherwise... Very welcoming and efficient staff behind a team of highly qualified doctors. Dr. Todd is especially super. I typically never recommend any business, but this one is worth it.

Great , knowlegable , staff. Communication land explanations was also excellent. Walked me thru prep, surgery, and follow up painlessly. Prompt appt service too, no long waiting room times. Especially enjoyed meeting Todds' father during a post op exam.

The office is very well-run, the staff are friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy working there, and Dr. Todd Severin is a master at what he does-- h clearly knows his craft, spent plenty of time with me, and made sure that I understood my eye condition and the treatment plan.

What a terrific office. I had excellent service, and both Dr Severin's are top in their field. I had cataract surgery back in January of this year, and they have been courteous, caring professionals, and with a terrific staff. My vision is perfect at 20-25, and I just had my last follow up after surgery. All is OK and no more glasses… I recommend this center for any eye issues. They have earned a 5 star rating from me.
