We requested med records for my partner’s visits with Dr. Fowler and found out he overprescribed the medicine that was given. Dr. Fowler wrote conflicting info in the reports then refused to help further when the overuse of the medication caused new health issues. Please go see any other ENT you can.

I was referred to Dr. Fowler a year ago by my primary care Dr. due to intermittent hearing loss in my left ear. I have been back three different times to see the audiologist. I only saw Dr. Fowler twice. Every time I come, my copay is around $200. They just keep telling me to stop by any time my ear seems to loose hearing so they can do another hearing test. The last time I stopped by, my hearing loss in my left ear had been going on for at least 3 days. I stopped by after work and they said they couldn't see me. There was nobody else in the waiting room. This has been going on for a full year now and I still have no diagnosis on my ear. I've been told a few times that it might be one thing, then another time that it might be something else. I honestly don't know if they really even know what they're doing other that taking my money. I am frustrated and disappointed in my experience at this doctor's office.

Dr. Fowler is a very good doctor. Knowledgeable and communicative. I would recommend him. It may be hard to call in and talk to someone or you may have to wait but my waiting time has never been excessive.

I'm sure Dr. Fowler is awesome but he/staff does not return calls promptly. Their message says the nurse or Dr will call back within 24-48 hours. After waiting OVER 48 hours, I called and left a message again with the receptionist highlighting my disappointment. Another 24 hours has gone by and STILL NO PHONE CALL. I just called and left a turse message. When you have a brain scan done 2 weeks ago and are very frightened that something may be drastically wrong, you pray that the physician would understand and at least have the common courtesy to call back. I sent my sister to see Dr. Fowler because she was having a lot of sinus infections and he is a very good Doctor. My mother and brother were his patients while they were alive. He did surgery and all went well. She continued to have problems so he ordered a CT and told her to call after the CT and schedule an appointment got discuss the CT. She has called 5 times left a message each time and still hasn't heard back from the doctor or office to get an appointment. She even stopped by and he wad not there. My husband died from a sinus infection after getting sepsis. This really is making me upset with this Hixson office.

I visited Dr. Fowler on October 18th for my first appointment with him. The appointment went fine. Nothing special, but nothing bad stuck out. He said he would like to schedule a CT scan on my sinus, and I went through the steps to schedule that after my appointment. I got said CT scan on Friday, October 29th and was told by the technician it would probably take a day or so to get the results from my doctor. I didn’t hear anything the following Monday, but I figured the office was busy and needed some time. So I waited until the next Thursday (Nov. 4) to call and leave a voicemail. Never heard back. Called again first thing Monday the 8th. Didn’t hear back. Called again the next day, was hung up on 6 times, and finally spoke with a receptionist who was very nice and listened to my pleas to leave a note for the nurses to call me back as I hadn’t received ANY information about getting my results. Didn’t hear back. Called again today, now the 10th of November. 12 days post scan. I’m sure I won’t hear back. At this point, I am clearly in search of a new ENT, and would really appreciate getting my scan results so I am able to bring them to my next provider. This was the only idea I had to get a response. A joke…. Ordered a CT . Took two weeks to get scheduled. Paid out of pocket $135 copay. He never even looked at the CT or ever contacted me. After several calls to his office and rude staff I found another physician. I’m glad it wasn’t an emergency ????

Dr. Fowler is an excellent doctor. Not only is he exceptionally knowledgeable, but he also has the people skills necessary to effectively communicate with his patients. If I could give a half star I would! Tried to make an appointment for my father and was hung up on to begin with. Then the VERY rude lady answered on the third time I tried to get a hold of someone. Great surgeon, very happy with his skills and results!! So worth waiting 1-2 hours each appointment. I wish someone in the office would care to see if I needed anything. My time doesn’t seem to matter. Loss of work :( hours.

Disrespectful to my daughter. She waited 1-1/2 hours in room for him and he was with her 2 minutes. Did NOTHING for her. She left crying. Awful human being. Zero star rating.

I can applaud a doctor who doesn’t over treat, or suggest unnessicary procedures. I can not compliment Dr. Fowler on any aspect of my two minute experience. I was not greeted. I was asked 3 yes or no questions. He had clearly not looked at my paperwork and did not inquire why I was referred. I was asked “What do you want me to do for you?” and told “I’ll call [referring physician] and talk to him.” as the patient sitting in the room with him. Dr. Fowler never heard about my sinus pain, more excruciating than anything I’ve ever experienced in my life. Nor did hear about my lack of “infection” related symptoms even though I have been treated for sinus issues for years. No excessive mucus, no coloring, just intense pain and inflammation. I know I saw him in the afternoon on a Friday. I’m sure he was tired of a full day/ full week of work... but as a patient desperate for answers with reoccurring facial pain, a kind bed side manner and a little sympathy would have gone a long way. As a professional, I too was tired that Friday. And when my clients call me, I make them feel heard and taken care of. After sitting in the examine room waiting for an hour, I received zero interest in why I was referred in the first place. I have never felt so placated in this setting, and when I became emotional (brought to tears) at the apparent dismissal for my visit... Dr. Fowler left the room. As an experienced professional, he should have asked what was going on. He should have been understanding to my plight and given recommendations, reassurances, and certainly should have made me feel heard and as if my 2 hours in his office hadn’t been in vain. If health care was like any other industry on the planet, there would have been no payment for this appointment. I can see that Dr. Fowler has provided many patients with outstanding service, appropriate treatments and a warm disposition. I desperately wish this had been my experience. And I deeply hope someone from Associates in ENT reads this review, gives him this feedback and he reassesses the position patients may come to him in. Dr. Fowler did my son's tonsillectomy & adenoidectomy. He was so kind & professional. He made sure both my son and I understood the process and answered all our questions. He did a great job on the surgery. We highly recommend him!

Dr. Fowler was very thorough when seeing me and made sure all my concerns were meet.

Have had the pleasure of being affiliated with Dr. Fowler for many years. He is top notch in my opinion!

Nose Surgeries: deviation of nasal septum and reduction of nasal turbinates. A few months later, I am very pleased with the end result. He is very patient and takes much time to explain in details. Drawbacks: The waiting time in the waiting room for you may be long. Take a book with you.

When i first became acquainted with him, i thought the same as the other reviews. As time passed, i had a different opinion. He nor his staff were attentive. At the second appointment, i waited at least 2 hours on him. When i mentioned it, he never said a word. He made an error on a biopsy and kept missing the target. He is a very nice man but my trust is waivering tremendously. Mainly, i wouldnt get callbacks from him or staff. Scheduling tests took a long time.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Fowler. His demeanor is excellent and he's very attentive. He answers all questions without rushing the patient out of the room. This is my first visit with Dr. Fowler and I am impressed.

During my first visit with Dr. Fowler I knew he was one of the few doctors that actually cares about his patients . listened to all I had to say about the problems I was having when it came time for his diagnosis he spoke to were I knew what was going on and what procedures needed to come next to get to the root of the problem . I did have to have surgery and his surgery time was very prompt the time he gave to start and end and the calls to family during and after surgery GREAT DOCTOR!

Dr. Fowler impressed me by several characteristics that he embodies, the first is that I felt as though he really cared about giving me the best care possible, he's compassionate and where other ENT's had failed to treat the problem of my decades of sinus infections he immediately found a deviated septum, restricted nasal passages and a mass of tissue behind the left eye socket. With his surgical skills he treated the problem so hopefully it will lessen the symptoms going forward.
